  1. I will try and sort this out if I can get to the bottom of what's causing it. Could you possibly test builds 1.20 and 1.17 to see if either of them work for these games in 480p? Both are on xbins in the fba_xxx_pro_old/ folder. If either of them work okay then it should be easily fixable.
  2. I haven't done much experimenting since I just wanted to get a build out with compatibility back to where it was in v1.17. Performance and compatibility are paramount and take priority over any added features. Technically, the rumble feature works fine for CPS2 and decrypted NG games, so the best idea would probably be to have an option to totally enable/disable it (as opposed to just controlling the force) so that people who want to use the bigger encrypted sets can still do so with the rumble disabled.
  3. FBA-XXX Pro v1.21 =============== - Fixed encrypted Neo-Geo games not loading. - Fixed UI background music and options. - Fixed problem where incorrect ROMsets were loading even with CRC Check on. - Corrected some DAT errors. NOTE: In order to fix the problem with large NG ROMsets locking up the emu, the rumble feature has been disabled in this build. Loading encrypted ROMs takes alot of memory and it would seem there simply isn't enough for both. FBA-XXX doesn't come up against this problem as the only versions of these games it supports are decrypted. Hopefully this can be resolved in a future build. Enjoy! + T +
  4. Yes it should do though I don't have an HDTV to test on. All the code from FBA-XXX is in there.
  5. Just to update everyone. The problem with some NG games not loading has been fixed. An updated build will be out soon. 1) I'll look into this. 2) The menu is in priority order with emulation options first then UI options second. If you want a fast reset just hold down the triggers and press START. 3) There are one or two differences but nothing major. The only notable feature I haven't yet included is the filter preview.
  6. I'll look into these problems. The decryption XORs for ddsomr1 and ecofghtu haven't been released yet so these sets won't work.
  7. FBA-XXX Pro v1.20 =============== - Emulator core has been brought up-to-date with the latest features and fixes from FBA-XXX. - Added support for Beta drivers along with an extra gamelist tab to incorporate them. Beta drivers are disabled by default and can be enabled via the Emulator Options menu. (see below for notes on Beta games) - The following Beta games are supported: Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (World, 4 Players) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Japan, 2 Players) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Japan, 4 Players) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Oceania, 2 Players) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (US, 4 Players, set 1) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (US, 4 Players, set 2) Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (UK, 2 Players) Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles (UK, 4 Players) 4 Fun in 1 Azurian Attack Bagman (bootleg on Galaxian hardware) Batman Part 2 Black Hole Checkman (Japan) Checkman Defend the Terra Attack on the Red UFO (bootleg) Devil Fish (Galaxian hardware, bootleg?) (thanks to GogoAckman) - Some ROM updates based on the new JohnBoy DATs. - The following sets have been added: ddsomr1 ddsomr3 cawingr1 ecofghtu s1945a Enjoy! + T +
  8. FBA-XXX Pro supports all the current Samurai Shodown V Special sets.
  9. v1.17 is now on xbins. It was down over the period of the last two updates. I'll look into these problems. I'd also like to know if anyone else has experienced being kicked back to the gamelist screen?
  10. FBA-XXX Pro v1.17 ============= - Fixed black screen in kof2003/kof2003d - Fixed samsho5. - Fixed diagnostics mode and dipswitch settings in kof2k2nd. (P1 was incorrect) *Note: You may need to delete your savegame and/or the kof2k2 files in the /cfg folder if you find your kof2k2nd dipswitch settings are still messed up. Alternatively you can enter diagnostics mode and set them yourself.
  11. FBA-XXX Pro v1.16 ============= - Added HDTV support, Gamma fix, and Simple4x filter from the latest FBA-XXX. (by GogoAckman) - Removed HDTV settings from in-game menu. (since the emu needs to restart when changing them) - Fixed sound problems in certain NG games. - Fixed sprite scrolling in mslugx. - Fixed some incorrect ROM sizes. Enjoy!
  12. Thanks for the reports. The fixes I did not include from the last FBA-XXX were the sound fixes and the VMM changes. But I'll definitely look into what caused the lastbld2 problems and fix it for the next build. In trying to get the PCB sets working I've been using the standard Neo-Geo bios for testing purposes that's why ms5pcb reports itself as such.
  13. Just realized that I forgot to fix the sizes of some ROMs that were reported as incorrect a few pages back. I'll sort them out and get another build together soon.
  14. FBA-XXX Pro v1.15 ============= - Added minimenu and several fixes from the latest FBA-XXX. (by GogoAckman) - Added working driver for sf2ce13. (by iq_132) - The following sets have been added: (drivers by iq_132) tigerh2 tigerhj slapfiga slapfgtr slapbtuk alcon opwolfb ffightua Enjoy!
  15. What was the D3D sound bug? I never noticed any sound issues with the last build.
  16. Only on games that use alot of memory. Most games that run slow do so due to insufficient CPU power so more memory will make no difference.
  17. I doubt it would be playable. It already runs at a pretty choppy framerate. Emulating sound as well would probably just make this worse.
  18. Ah yes, Super Bishi Bashi is awesome. It was a great choice to include. The first game in which I noticed a control difference was Return of the Jedi. In earlier builds of MAMEoX (not sure which versions) the stick was way too sensitive and the speeder bike would just shoot straight from one side of the screen to the other when you pushed it. It was virtually unplayable. Now it moves almost exactly as it should and I can actually get through the first level. Star Wars also controls much better but I think I may have messed with the analog settings a while ago to try and improve it. But I've definitely never touched the settings of ROTJ.
  19. That does seem odd. All the sf2 drivers come directly from FB Alpha Plus. I'll tidy them up for the next build.
  20. If hi-scores are not currently saved along with soft DIP settings and such then the only thing I can suggest is to use save states since I doubt its something I'd be able to implement.
  21. HK$, it isn't mentioned in the changelog but have you improved the analog controls in this build? It seems like many games that were unplayable before now control almost perfectly. Also is there any chance you'd consider adding a fast-forward function to skip past some of those long bootup ROM checks?
  22. While I don't have that kind of setup myself, I can see the shutdown option being very convenient to people who have their Xbox in a cabinet where the power button might not be so easily accessible. So again, I would be inclined to agree with djohng's decision to keep this option in kiosk mode. BTW, just out of interest, am I right in thinking that jgokushi is now the only set in FBA-XXX Pro that isn't publically available (excluding missing XORs)?
  23. In kiosk mode the X button should bring up a menu that only allows you to view the help and credits screens as well as exit the emulator. I completely concur with djohng's decision to retain access to these screens since they contain important information about the emulator.
  24. FBA-XXX Pro v1.14 ============= - Fixed an error made when adding the kiosk code. Y button should be properly disabled now. (thanks to djohng) - Fixed a small error in the default_kiosk skin. (by djohng) - Updated supported ROMsets based on the latest FB Alpha Plus. (thanks to Ferchogtx) - The following sets have been added: ms6boot kodb sf2m1 sf2m2 sf2m3 sf2m8 sf2m13 sf2tlona sf2tlonb sf2tlonc wofh wofha wof3js wof3sj wof3sja wofsj wofsja wofsjb Enjoy! EDIT: For those who wish to know, the ms5pcb ROMs supported in this build are now publically available.
