  1. I'm afraid not. The performance of that particular game in MAMEoX is dependant on CPU speed and not the amount of RAM you have.
  2. Just an opinion, but I think dumbing down the ROM names like that is a terrible idea. How are you supposed to tell which version of a game is which? HK$'s build all the way for me.
  3. no help? Use the fully decrypted set instead. See the DATs that came with whichever build you're using for details.
  4. Thanks ever so much iq. I should be able to add these sets now. Just as a matter of interest though, is NeoSpriteROM absolutely necessary for the C ROM decryption in these drivers or would you happen to know any alternate code that might work as well?
  5. Well it turns out that Kawaks' option to save decrypted C ROMs doesn't work with kog and lans2004 because they're not encrypted in the same way that most NG games are and so the emulator doesn't consider them encrypted at all for the purposes of saving the ROMs. So if anyone knows of any patches or similar to create decrypted sets of the above please let me know. Failing that, just the CRC numbers of the decrypted ROMs would be helpful.
  6. Thanks for the info. BTW, could somebody tell me if Lansquenet is just a ROM-hack or does come from an actual board/cart?
  7. For those still wanting King of Gladiator I've only just noticed a new version of Kawaks was released a couple of weeks ago that supports it. So I should be able to add it to FBA-XXX Pro using the pre-decrypted C ROMs it produces. If it works I'll add in some of the other new supported hacks like Lansquenet as well. Also I notice all the ROMs from the MVS set of kof2003 are now available but I've not seen a working driver yet.
  8. I've taken a look at IQ's kog driver and unfortunately it won't work with FBA-XXX. The reason is that the C descrambling code uses the NeoSpriteROM variable which seems unsupported in the Xbox build of FBA. This is the same problem that keeps samsh5bl and svcboot from working correctly. So unless a workaround is found by someone who better understands the code I'm afraid this one's a no-go.
  9. Could be. Both Xboxes I tested were v1.6. If you need any more code testing on these systems just let me know.
  10. Seems it was the LED colour code that was causing the problem. The build with this code removed works perfectly. Tested on two softmodded Xboxes that were locking up before. Both working fine now. Awesome! Thank you once again.
  11. It locks up immediately. Although, when I check the root folder afterwards, it does create all the support directories in D:/. But it does not create a TDATA folder. Don't know if that helps any in determining at what point it's freezing. Thanks for putting those test builds together (I'll PM you my e-mail address). Would be great to get to the bottom of this. Thanks again.
  12. Perhaps someone can help me out here. I have two Xboxes, a 1.1 with an Xecutor chip and a 1.6 that's softmodded. The 1.1 runs this release with no problems, but the 1.6 locks up upon running the default.xbe no matter what I do. I've removed all traces of any previous MAMEoX from the HDD and have done a completely clean install. The last MAMEoX128 Plus! build (07/26) ran perfectly on this Xbox (and still does), but this new version just won't start. This is the first time I've ever had a problem getting a piece of software running. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  13. I'm waiting for the next official build before I do anything more to FBA-XXX Pro, but I'll certainly look into adding these when the time comes. Thanks for the info. BTW, is there a working driver for King of Gladiator?
  14. Simply awesome. HK$ is the best thing that's happened to MAMEoX since XPort added VMM.
  15. I'll look into this problem if it still exists in the next build of FBA-XXX Pro. There's no point trying to fix it now when Gogo will be releasing a new official build soon.
  16. Might also be handy to know which games are giving the problem, or is it all of them?
  17. I want to keep the Pro build of FBA-XXX as close as possible to the official build. The only difference should be the supported ROMsets and occasional bugfixes. So I'm afraid I won't be adding any of those things.
  18. Some ROMs from mslug5a and the P ROMs from kof2003a still aren't public. There are also a small number of sets for which FBA-XXX Pro uses substitute ROMs simply because the original drivers won't work for one reason or another. These are unlikely to change without some outside help since I don't have the necessary coding knowledge to adapt them for the Xbox build.
  19. Glad you are enjoying it. Though all credit for the emulator goes to Gogo and the XXX team. I'm just adding drivers and ironing out a few creases.
  20. They're just text files. By looking at the existing ones and with a little experimentation it shouldn't be too hard to create your own.
  21. Glad to hear that. Be sure and post the new link here when you have it.
  22. Which set is it that's giving you sound problems? I just tested ss5spnd and samsh5sd and they sounded fine.
  23. Hmm, it's extracting okay here. I've re-uploaded the archive anyways so try it again and see if it works this time. The link in the first post is always for the latest version of the patch. The date only changes if the post itself is edited.
  24. DATs are included in the archive along with the patch.
