How Do I Burn Bin/cue Files?
StriderSkorpion replied to YoungHov's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
The only way to burn (that I can think of) would be using FireBurner rather than CDRWin. I'm not positive, though. -
You might've been thinking of Tactics Ogre for the SNES/SFC. There's an English PSX version, but the rom is being translated. In fact, the script from the PSX version is being used for the translation.

Anyone Know Of Any Good "hacked" Roms
StriderSkorpion replied to Mr Bongwater's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
It's unfortunate that there really aren't any tools to hack sprite graphics for the Neo Geo. If there were, maybe we'd see some more cthd style hacks. -
How Do You Extract Sprites From A Rom?
StriderSkorpion replied to Lightsier's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
There is a MAME port (don't know the URL) that helps with sprite ripping. The port was older, so I don't know what games it supported. That feature could *possibly* be implemented in the current code, but I don't know as I haven't messed with it. -
Well, I can't really provide you with any ISP info. There used to be a page on the net that described how to use NetZero with the Dreamcast. All the Sega servers are down, so you can't play online with them. There are some servers hosted by others you can connect to, but I don't know if any show up on the list or not. I think shiba may know about some Q3 servers.

Yeah, it was. Just like Ogre Battle for the SNES, there's an US/NTSC version of OG 64. I don't own the game, but I do have the rom.

The Matrix Meets Everquest?
StriderSkorpion replied to OverlordMondo's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
K'dash, I was only saying if. It could blow some of the others away as EverQuest and Ultima Online series are getting old. I don't know about EverQuest 2, though. You could think of Matrix Online like a mix between City of Heroes and Sims Online. Both of which are MMOGs, but not exactly RPGs. I personally don't think there'll be a big market for the, especially after the failure of the first and lackluster support of the movies from the general population. -
Sf2turyu For Kawaks 1.48b/dev
StriderSkorpion replied to StriderSkorpion's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
It's been released. I found the news on the RomShare forum. You can grab it here. There's another hack (not for Kawaks dev) that should work with Nebula and Kawaks w/ loader. Its name is sf2turyu1 and you can grab it here. -
The Matrix Meets Everquest?
StriderSkorpion replied to OverlordMondo's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
LordKanti, that's not what I mean by that. I mean it will a futuristic/scifi MMORPG rather than a fantasy one. GryphonKlaw, you're right about the subscription part, but if WoW blows the next generation of fantasy MMORPGs away (and maybe the older ones too), people will be more likely to stop playing those games. Thus, they'll be more open to the Matrix Online. If it wasn't for the subscription part, there wouldn't competition between the two. -
Anyone Know Of Any Good "hacked" Roms
StriderSkorpion replied to Mr Bongwater's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
Well, there are color and boss hacks, but nothing that adds new characters or hacks current characters. There are also some hacks that mess with the weapons set up in Metal Slug. You can grab these kinda hacks from Dream Generation. -
The Matrix Meets Everquest?
StriderSkorpion replied to OverlordMondo's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
WoW is a different genre than Matrix Online will be, though. I think WoW will be a great MMORPG (or at least I hope so), but it's in the style that Everquest and Ultima Online are in. Matrix Online will more closely resemble Star Wars Galaxies, IMO, but that doesn't mean it will be good or bad. -
How Do I Burn Bin/cue Files?
StriderSkorpion replied to YoungHov's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Huh? I've never seen an autoboot image in BIN/CUE format. The only way would be if the CUE sheet was offset appropriately (probably using cdirip). You can burn it with CDRWIN. Click the last icon on the left top row and then choose Load Cuesheet. You should then select burn. You can burn it with Nero also (don't know how since I don't use Nero that much). If you want to be autoboot (if it's not), just grab bin2boot from MegaGames in the Dreamcast utilities section. If it has external CDDA, you'll need to grab another bin2boot. I have that version if you need it. If the CDDA is in the BIN file, you can use binchunker and then the CDDA bin2boot (if you set up the CUE correctly). -
Texas, what movie are you talking about? Are you talking about Killer Klowns from Outer Space or Gigli? I've never seen Gigli, so I don't know if clowns are in it or not and I'm afraid to find out .

Stupid Memory Card
StriderSkorpion replied to Cominus's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
I have a 4x memory card, but I don't think it compresses data. It has a switch to go between the four different sections. I've never had any problems with it. Heck, I have mostly unofficial memory cards for my gaming systems. The only one that had problems was the 16M for my PS2. The problem is that some games don't recognize it, otherwise it works just fine. My recommendation is you either take it back, or throw it out (unless you know how to fix it). -
Problems W/ Multi-track Ps1 Games
StriderSkorpion replied to lockshaw13's topic in PS1 Emulators [/pc/ps1]
Well, lockshaw may not have a PS1/PSX (hence why he/she's using the PS2). You could try that boot disc at Console Source, but I don't know if it works or not with multi track games. You could also get a mod-chip of some sort. That's probably your best bet for getting the games to boot up correctly. -
Gigli is probably the scariest (in a sense) movie ever created. I liked Underworld. It really wasn't a horror movie, IMO. Maybe a dash of horror and quite a bit of action. Reloaded? I don't think it was THAT outlandish. I didn't it had as much of comic book feel, IMO. I didn't think the werewolves were properly represented in that movie (seemed like too many died so easily).

The Matrix Meets Everquest?
StriderSkorpion replied to OverlordMondo's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Well, it was SORT OF Christian. It was influenced by Gnosticism, which is a distorted (compared to Catholic and Protestant views) version of Christianity. It's heavy into mysticism, kinda like Kabalism (sp?) to Judaism. -
Need Asr.dat For Kawaks!
StriderSkorpion replied to Thunder In Paradise's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
Like james said, the p rom needs to be fixed. The p rom for NeoRageX almost works in Nebula (probably Kawaks 1.46 too). You'll need the "fixed" m rom for Kawaks since it can't load 512KB m roms. -
I thought you were just joking since you mentioned "there's no coin slot on my computer." At first, I thought you meant what key until you mentioned that part.
