Emulator Help
StriderSkorpion replied to OverlordMondo's topic in NES & SNES Emulators [/pc/nes+snes]
Dang! Three hours? That's ridiculous. I don't see why zSNES is providing such a problem for you. -
One Game, A Deserted Island, And You.

For Those Who Didn't Believe In Sf4's Production.
StriderSkorpion replied to veristic's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Yeah, I really wanted to see it too. AFAIK, that would've had the only 3D incarnation of Strider to date. It reminded me of Fighters Megamix for the Saturn since it had several of Capcoms characters from different series in it. It would've been my first 3D fighting from Capcom that I would've bought, too bad it was scrapped. -
Especially when you can buy them for that much. It's ironic that at the one near me, they have a table set up front selling used videos. They usually go pretty cheap, yet they still rent out those videos. I mean, it gets expensive, relatively speaking, when you want to rent some horror movies for Halloween, for example.

For Those Who Didn't Believe In Sf4's Production.
StriderSkorpion replied to veristic's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
No, we're just saying TAS isn't right. We're open to the possibility that it will be made, but we can't say it is until Capcom actually says so. You can't rely on rumors anyways. After all, in EGM's rumor section they posted a rumor that Capcom was planning on making a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and maybe Capcom vs. Dragonball. The closest we got was an April Fools joke from Madman Cafe with an edited picture claiming to be from MvC3 w/ Zero from the Megaman X series as "proof." -
Pc Iso Burning
StriderSkorpion replied to Cominus's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Still quite a bit of data, none the less. I have no more input other than WinME sucks compared to WinXP (never thought I'd ever really like a M$ product, until XP). -
Once people are in the real world, most don't really care how you rank up (except for celebrities and economically "elite" or the really poor and homeless). High school's ranking isn't anything like the real world (except for sports stars and possibly the beautiful people IF they're REALLY attractive). Also, a few celebrities have gone from being nerds to their status now (i.e. Vin Diesal [sp?]).

Samurai Spirits Zero Story
StriderSkorpion replied to Wizard's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
Samurai Shodown 5 doesn't have an English story mode? Do they have English text at all in the game? BTW, isn't it out for the console (US version)? I've played the game, but its been a while, so I can't remember if it had English text. -
Heck, the Guru even has a tutorial on his website for dumping roms. I probably could do it if I only had an (E)EPROM programmer/reader. I got a soldering iron and can get a solder pump easily. James, do you happen to know how they dump or create the decrypted roms (graphics, z80, &/or sound)?

Pc Iso Burning
StriderSkorpion replied to Cominus's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
You don't have to send the picture. I was just curious if Windows would recognize the CD-Rs proper burned size. It may have to do with the way Windows interacts with the burner, though (file size report). As on my other PC with my old burner, WinME wouldn't recognize CD-Rs that were 80 minutes (blank ones, at least). WinXP has no problem with this. -
That's high school for you. Too many people concerned with popularity rather than what a person is like. Unless these people become celebrities, they'll have a major culture shock when they hit the real world. I guess college can be like that too, but not where I go. We don't have sports teams, so that's probably the reason. BTW, why in the blue hell would you say you'd kill yourself if someone died? That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

Pc Iso Burning
StriderSkorpion replied to Cominus's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Can I see a screenshot of the 800MB CD? I'm just curious if Windows would properly recognize the size or not. I know that with larger CD-Rs (90 & 99), they are wound tighter than normal. I guess it's treating/burning it like that and overstepping the normal bounds for audio and data (the lead-in and lead-out sections). -
Need Help With Rom Hey_you_pikachu
StriderSkorpion replied to shin-force's topic in N64 Emulators [/pc/n64]
I'd think the emulator would let you do that, but I've never bothered to test (I despise most Pokemon games). I doubt there's a patch for the rom if that's what you meant, though. -
Problems W/ Multi-track Ps1 Games
StriderSkorpion replied to lockshaw13's topic in PS1 Emulators [/pc/ps1]
Well, you could grab another swap solution for the PS2 from ConsoleSource. They sell a disc there for the PS2 that should let you play backups (I don't know how it works, though). -
Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night
StriderSkorpion replied to someboddy's topic in PS1 Emulators [/pc/ps1]
Yeah, I'd recommend BitTorrent or use eMule and check out Link not Allowed -Diso for some eDonkey2k links. -
I don't know if it works on the PS2, but you could try the one of the boot discs available at MegaGames. They can convert from PAL to NTSC sometimes. Of course, you must be willing to waste a CD-R or two to test this. So, if you don't want to waste, I'd check some of the other tools or look into getting something to convert the output to display properly. I wouldn't know, but maybe the XRGB2 will support PAL output and convert it to VGA or whatever output it uses.

Need Help With Rom Hey_you_pikachu
StriderSkorpion replied to shin-force's topic in N64 Emulators [/pc/n64]
You know, you didn't really say what your problem was. I'm guessing it was already covered since it requires the microphone like they said. Next time, you may want to specify your problem. -
Emulator Help
StriderSkorpion replied to OverlordMondo's topic in NES & SNES Emulators [/pc/nes+snes]
If you're using zSNES make sure you using the Windows version. That may seem obvious, but I bet there are some people out there who've made that mistake. -
The ones I've encountered are more morons than jerks. They sometimes act like they don't know the difference between their head and their butt.

For Those Who Didn't Believe In Sf4's Production.
StriderSkorpion replied to veristic's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Some companies do even worse things to hope. They'll dangle it over a cliff, torturing it the whole time and not letting it know if it's going to live or not. Such as with Half-Life for the DC (thank goodness for piracy) or Capcom All-Stars for the latest generation consoles. I hate it when companies do that, but that's business. -
I've heard that it's good, but I've yet to see it. I'd really like to see, as I read the box and it sounded interesting. I found it near the new movies horror section at my local Blockbuster, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.
-
I remember those episodes. I didn't realise in the Chinese restaurant episode that the movie they were seeing was Plan 9. I didn't even know they mentioned the movie's title. You live, you learn a little more about TV.

Does default FBA have anything over MAME32 graphics or sound wise? Or even emualtion wise for that matter. I don't have a slow PC, so that's not an issue, I'm just curious if the regular source has graphic &/or sound improvements (i.e. SuperEagle).

Garou Not Prototype For Neoragex
StriderSkorpion replied to NeoRAGERx's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
Hmm, didn't know that. I caught his post there. I kinda felt guilty because I had directed him there for the Pochi and Nyaa m rom patch. Oh well, he got what he wanted. -
Neo-cd Emu For Dreamcast!
StriderSkorpion replied to Wizard's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
That'd be great if the DOS emulator (or a DOS port) panned out. If they can emulate the NG CD, why not try to apply that to regular Neo Geo emulation? After all, Razoola showed how easy it is to convert NG CD games to MVS format with his Zintrick release. Why not have the emulator pretend the CD is a NG CD and run the games like that? Of course this is assuming the CD games don't require being fully loaded into RAM.
