  1. Well, you can always take a guess about the bosses

I just pray they dun use Rugal anymore.

And since Geese is in the game as playable character, this rule

him out too. That left Krauser, the AOF3 guy (forget his name),

Orochi, Krizalid, Zero, Igniz, Mukai, Kouryu, Amakusa, Zankuro,

Mizuki, the Alien Mothership, SS64 boss (can't remember his name),

    Kain etc etc. happy choosing

KAGAMI (Last Blade). He better be in there. Also, SNKP should add Zantetsu in while they're at it.

Here's my boss list (top 4):

    Kagami

    Zero

    Orochi

    Grant

  2. WMP is not set up for that kind of comparatively heavy-duty process. Use a video editor such as Adobe Premiere or Macromedia Dreamweaver, save a screenshot of the frame you want, touch it up in Photoshop, and print (i assume you have the file saved as an.avi or.mpg). As for a $700 piece of software like Macromedia Studio MX, i have one word for you.

    BitTorrent.

    enjoy. :devilboy:

What so bad about DMC2? I still like it (except for the final boss,

which is pretty lame. The 1st one was badass!)

Yes, the bosses are badass for the most part in DMC2. But the developers took out or made worse most of the gameplay elements that were present in DMC.

Yeah thats right, the first DMC was such a blast, the second failed as a sucessor, I'm sure the 3rd will make up for it, hopefully the game elements will be used from the first installment with new upgrades and such.

Yes, DMC 2 was too easy and too repetitive compared to DMC 1. Only sequel i've seen where enemy AI goes DOWN in quality. Also, to make up for the larger environments, the textures were weakened.

DMC 3 apparently uses a new graphical engine which a) has a more stylized art style and  allows for ZOE-style cel-shaded secondary effects. :devilboy: Also, the gameplay is more like DMC 1 but the customization system now allows for building up attributes (strength, speed, weapons) RPG-style and free-form martial arts combos. go capcom.

  4. Yes, this was on Yahoo this morning.

i heard aboot this game on the radio it's kinda wierd that they would sell a game that basically the point of it is to KILL the president.

No, the point is not to KILL Kennedy per se, but rather to prove the stupidity of various 'conspiracy theories' floating around on the net. Still, i think it is in poor taste and must have started as a joke - i mean, imagine the planning session:

Developer 1: Dude, we seriously need another project.

Developer 2: I'm thinking. Hold on while i take another hit from this crack rock.

Developer 2: Dude - the source code - it's moving. The zeros are telling me to kill you.

Developer 1: Eureka! A JFK assassination simulator! Pass ME the crack.

    :devilboy::rolleyes:<_<

Anyhow, has anyone actually plated the game? I'm sure its just one of the hundreds of crap programs flushed on to the web every day...

  5. Gosh, i didn't notice this thread until now...

Thanks for the praise for my R-Type Final review guys. I really appreciate it. In any case, here's my nominations:

    There ya go. 2 Questions:

    1. What did ash get banned for exactly? I remember him here, then gone, without much discussion.

    2. How will these awards be decided? Will we vote, will the mods chose or will we just sit around naming names?

Again, thanks for all the praise. You guys are great. :devilboy:

  6. Meh. so complicated...

I use the Kawaks 1.48 DEV romset with 6 C and 1 V roms. I've actually never seen it on the net, i found the 8C and 4V MAME set and patched it.

Unfortunately under teh new rules i cant post the link to the patches, but *hint**hint* search old threads and it might turn up.

I told you when it was first announced that this game would suck ass and you were all falling over yourselves to defend it.

Still, now it's got a review score you believe it? Reviews should never be taken as gospel. I have little to no respect for game journalists, they don't understand the first thing about the subject matter.

My my, you have been bitchy lately, haven't you? always trying to prove us wrong and show us up...

We defended CFE against YOUR baseless attacks which you launched before you had ever played the game. Again you stereotype all reviewers and say they "don't understand" the subject matter - a ridiculous accusation. You are on a high-horse preaching about videogames from the point of view of "design concepts" and you don't understand the "art for the sake of art" or "labors of love" that are MGS2 and certainly CFE.

What kind of a game designer are you anyway? In the MGS2 review your discussion of your post seems less like an official position and more like 1 angry guy with twisted ideas. What company do you even work for - if any?

In short, don't antagonize us by trying to prove your superiority - we do hit back. Bring it on. :P:fyou::D

  8. Yes, the following cars need to be in GT5. They are examples of 50's and 60's sportsters that handle well. BTW, Kaz Yamauchi said he wouldn't rule out more historical or manufacturer-themed teaser discs in the future.

    1964 Jaguar E-Type 4.2 Roadster

    1971 Jaguar E-Type V12 Coupe

    1966 Yenko Stinger

    1963 Corvette Stingray

1968 Corvette with tri-power fuel injection and Muncie M-4 gearbox

    1965 Chevrolet Corvair Corsa

    1956 Studebaker Golden Hawk

    1964 Studebaker Avanti X1 (twin-supercharged 575hp prototype)

    1955 Ford Thunderbird

    That would be great. :P

  9. Meh.. i think this review was somewhat biased. 2D fighters are a specialized genre, and i think that the game is certainly sound gameplay wise, though not up CvS 2 levels of balance, let alone SFIII: TS. Capcom's quality is always high and there are never any stinkers (*cough* kof2001 *cough*) but there is always room for improvement. The reviewer says that the game is sound, but nobody can make CFE something it's not supposed to be.

i wonder if SNKP has the rights to use anyone from ROTD

No, they don't. Evoga owns the rights to Double Dragon and Power Instinct characters now. However, it would be cool if that did happen; Billy vs. K' might get interesting.

I want Kagami (Last Blade) though. "The Phoenix" is much more cool than Akari and the rest would ever be. :thumbsup1:

  11. buzz on the web is that Ashcroft (or Scarecroft as we call him in the Democratic People's Republic of Maryland) may compete for the open spot on the Supreme court when Rehnquist bites it. Of course having Chief Justice Scalia and Justice Ashcroft on the court would blow majorly. Goodbye Roe v. Wade.

      QUOTE(Bakou @ Nov 10 2004, 06:05 PM)

    Hey,

I have about 10 versions of samsho5 and 5sp.. all of which have an M1 rom with CRC 18114FB1

Would you mind making a patch for that?

That M1 is for Samurai Shodown 5, not Samurai Showdown 5 Special.

Whoa there... how can Samsho 5 special even run using the m1 from SamSho 5? The ROM must glitch horribly. Bakou, the CRC you want is:

    272-m1d.rom, B5ABDA07

    have fun looking. ;)

EDIT: I'm a moron and got your names mixed up. Sorry kyokugen.

  13. QUOTE]It's opposite here. Some bars and clubs let you in at 18 but you have to be 21 to buy alcohol.

The legal fine print sets the federal drinking age at 21, but locals can sometimes be lenient. Gryph, being down in the Old South, probably has a tougher time getting his hands on alcohol. I tell you though, there are plenty of ways to go around this. You can buy alcohol at filling stations here in the U.S., and the best kind is one near your university staffed by a fellow student :P not only will they not check your ID, but they may even give you a discount.

Either that or go to England, i love it over there and people are so much more laid back. Friendly, too.

Wow, this thread has gone way off topic.... :P

  14. You really need an analog joystick for this game as the motion for the large tags has more than 8 input points (i.e. for a 360 motion, the game is registering down, down-forward 20 degrees, down-f 40 degrees, down-f 60 degrees, etc) whereas using a keyboard you can only have eight input points at 45 degree angles. For joysticks, i reccommend the Saitek P800 or P3000, which run you $30 US for the P800 and $40 for the P3000 (which is wireless). Using a P3000 i have played the game all the way through on Chankast.

Don't miss out on this game - it's often overlooked but is one of the better Dreamcast releases.
