I deleted the 'media' folder on my Xbox accidentally before copying over the new files, so I just went ahead and overwrote the whole lot. Copied ok but kept resetting on boot. I checked 'debug.log' and was told that font files were missing from my 'media' folder. Seems that the rest of the patch is intact but is missing these fonts for some reason. I had Coinops backed up onto disc anyway so it was only a matter of copying off that. Nice job. The overlay is a nice addition, as is the 'added games' section (well I never noticed it before). Thanks again, good stuff

On the advice of trusted members I tried Harvert Moon. Snes tried first but was a little slow, then tried N64 and PSX, nicer to look at but still slow. Then jumped onto the GBA version, Friends of Mineral Town, took to it right away, just planted my first cabbage seeds

No I don't see that. Anyway, as proof, I'm going to buy another 360 + GTA IV to celebrate Play.uk is doing the package for £200 which isn't half bad for a Premium + best.game.ever.IV.

I've burnt over a 100 DC games at speeds from 2x to 52x and they have all worked, give or take one or two, bad burns/bad image whatever. It depends on the media I think. Also make sure you are using the correct settings in DJ. Mode1/DVD, Raw Write, and Overburn boxes should be ticked. 12x isn't too fast, I'm guessing your DC just doesn't appreciate whatever CDs you are using.

Yes, I forgot you have to turn it off when you want to play a vertically-orientated game. That's what I have, an edited version of Mameox128 which I use just for horizontal shooters. The other big advantage to this is that Mameox128 has autofire which is really needed for some of those games. Yeah, I'm running it on a 32" LCD at 720p so I don't know either. I'm sure it will improve it anyway

Yes, Gavin19! I know they work fine on MAMEoX, but the vertical games rotation screen feature is miles away better in FBA, since it also rotate the commands. And, to never forget - the image is much more crisp and sharp in FBA-XXX. Regards, Cospefogo. If you use Mameox128 for shmups then there is a Rotate screen option (as there was with all Mameox/Mamedox versions), which also rotates the commands to match. I'll agree that with the filters that FBAxxx has, it can make things a lot nicer to look at! OT but related - I was playing some old MvC, X-Men vs SF etc on FBAxxx yesterday and was changing filters, when I stumbled on 'Superscale Scanlines'. It made such a big difference, at least on my screen. Highly recommended!

Just had a quick run through and Dogyuun, Fireshark, and V-Five/Grindstormer are all missing but work, albeit without sound. If I can find any more working shooters that have been missed I'll throw them up.

Raiden and Fireshark already work fine on Mameox. Fireshark is without sound like other Toaplan shooters eg. V-Five, Dogyuun. Fireshark did get a pretty good Megadrive/Genesis port though.

I take it you mean the Metal Slug 3 bootleg (mslug3b6) and not the actual Metal Slug 6 on Atomiswave? If so, that one wasn't added until .105, a good bit later than the Xbox Mame core. It plays on FBAxxx just fine anyway. I'd rather see games that aren't playable on any emulator being added somehow.

Yeah I tried that before but you have to press the mapped button several times to get it to speed up properly, then press the Frameskip Decrease button the exact same number of times to get it back to normal speed. It's a messy alternative, but it's still there I guess.

Yes, a two/three button combination button would be welcomed. Another reason I use FBAxxx for CPS1/2 games is that it already has that feature. ie the ability to map a button for 3P or 3K. EDIT : I always meant to ask about the FBAxxx Fast Forward/Rewind thing as it's really very handy for skipping past certain things. Would that be possible in Mameox, or is it already and I've missed it?

.Different game names eg. Souky/Terra Diver .Intros - eg. FBI splash screen .Language text/voice - eg. Chase HQ .Default difficulty settings eg. Progear .Censored sprites/text eg. Jojo, KOF2002 Gameplay-wise though, I don't think I have noticed any differences between regions of all the games that I've played. Unless you count the games that have a higher default difficulty set in certain regions.

Just watched 3 totally unconnected and different films - a spoof, an 80s blockbuster and a bona fide classic. Namely, Wrongfully Accused, Top Gun and finally North by Northwest. Needless to say, North.. was the best, if inevitably dated; Top Gun I hadn't seen in years, not bad, not great; Wrongfully Accused was another half-decent Leslie Nielsen vehicle, spoofing a variety of films/shows ranging from the Fugitive to Baywatch.

just a quick simple question for you Britney's. Will we ever see bonk's adventure on mame for xbox? I'm crossing my fingers on it, it runs on kaneko16c driver if that helps. It runs on mame but the screen is all garbled, same for fixeight which is another really great game. Any info from you would greatly be appreciated. Anyways good work man as always man, i love your releases. XHFX Bonk's and Fixeight were both unplayable or glitchy at the time of the Xbox Mame core ie. 0.84. It would be great if updated drivers could be added to an older core, but I don't even know if it's possible. If it was, it would open the floodgates for roms that have been bugfixed/upgraded to working since the 0.84 version.

Despite my gfx card and monitor both being 5 years old I can go up to 1920x1440, but I find 1920x1080 to be more 'comfortable' looking I noticed with most modern LCD displays the resolution doesn't seem to go as high, at least on standard models. Not to mention most laptops max out at even lesser resolutions. Now I'm used to having so much on-screen at once it's hard to go back. I tried even dropping to 1600x1200 but even that looked too big.
