just some feedback on FBL 1.8 i hate doin this +T+ as i know the work all you guys put into this ive ran into a whole lot of issues im looking at steppin back to 1.7 and see if i can just switch the new toaplan.xbe with the old one and hopefully the the games will still have sound here's what ive found ive done the full clean install and have checked over my roms before posting bonks adventure (no sound) bombkick (no sound) thunderhoop (no sound) snowbros 3 (no sound) op wolf 3 (unplayable graphics issues) knuckle bash (no game fx just music) knuckle bash 2 (no sound) double dragon 2 (no game fx just music) swat police (no game fx just music) pocket gal dx (no sound) did have fx sounds last release penguin bros (still wont load for me i get the old fbl encountered a problem message)

no worries +T+ i know a few lightgun fans who would like to see a toggle option for the crosshare me i just want to remove the 2nd player crosshare when im not playin a 2 player game

sorry to ask again +T+ but would it be possible for you to code and option into FBL so onscreen gun crosshare can be toggled off and on in the emulator menu it would be a cool addition

go on list some games you would like to see included in this brilliant emulator with some luck it might just happen im not askin for this as i know it would require a whole new driver to be ported but i still hold on to the hope it might be playable before im old and grey FBL is my favorite emulator for playin gun games and whats better than a gun game?? maybe a cop chase gun game?? here's one of the best loved this in the arcades back in the day lucky and wild (1992 namco) http://maws.mameworl...romset/luckywld

yeh see what you mean +T+ on the calbration screen i was trying to put the FBL crosshare exactly over the green calibration icon which would result in the FBL sight being out of line with the game crosshare box sorted now i just put the fbl sight right to edge of screen as far as it would go top right bottom left and it lines up perfect now great another gun game to play in FBL

great news about the toaplan games quick question +T+ how's the calibration with operation wolf 3 looking

maybe best to start again from scratch go to your microsoft dash in the saves area remove the FBL save then deleate your FBL set except for roms videos etc now FTP it back onto your xbox start it up and see if the pgm games work if they dont post again btw get this issue myself still with penguin bros but since it works in another emu i just shifted it over

a great year for emulation seems the xbox will never die many thx to everyone who worked so hard on these

wow quick reply the ink was hardly dry on mine just played the 1st level it seemed to run fast enough never noticed any slowdown

ach not got the space for one of these but if i did dont think i could be bothered building one from scratch idd buy a ready made custom built to my spec's model from ebay and so it would play all the games i want i fit it with a top spec pc but i guess there's the pride from building it yourself kinda thing here

back on topic didnt know operation wolf 3 played in FBL so i gave it a go loaded the dips and reversed the screen to upright then added easy difficulty,blood, extra life bars and so on but just cant seem to get the gunsight to calibrate correctly in the gun options problem is the game has a small box on screen crosshair and the best i can get the FBL crosshair is about half covering the box which gets really annoying when tryin to play apart from that the game plays really well so +T+ want to ask can this be sorted by adding an option so you can add or remove the onscreen FBL crosshair like you can in the mame emulators or do you think you could sort the calibration yourself for next release

well i dont run any games in the FBL core in coinops as ive got FBL 1.7 for the reasons +T+ mentioned dip access etc but as ya know there's a good few games in coinops that use that core but if your not into extra settings and just wanna play the games then that'll work for ya if you like gun games there's a handfull that play better control wise "my opinion" in coinops if using the FBL core so that might be a good reason for runnin them in that core in coinops people ask me about FBL elseware some have never heard about it some have but dont want it i always highly recommend it as i like it and have it myself regarding the wider implecations of this core being in coinops ive no opinion about that as i just wanna play games i try and avoid all the drama in this scene if i can help someone whos havin problems or to get the most outta coinops or FBL then its all good must admit im startin to get sick of all the shit from all sides in this crazy scene never seen anything like it anywhere else my mates cant believe it either it's like the school f****n playground except were all ment to be adults anyway takin a break from these mental sites got arkham city and elder scrolls 5 will be playin these till next year time to get back to playin games instead of talkin about them

tk densho looks cool an all female lineup as well in the newer mame sets alcon is now the parent for slapfight it works in my pc mame set but not in FBL you get the hw switch error when the game has finished loading could a small driver update sort this would be cool to play slapfight in FBL super chase crminal termination even without sound would be a bonus as well BTW when i tried to load alcon in FBL 1.7 it freezes on the loading screen you then have to reboot the xbox to get back to FBL might just be my set though

If you would of asked me I would of told you.... you could also have downloaded the torrent file and opened it utorrent, that also would of yold you alright i admit i took the nip asked for help on the chat board no one seemed to want to check their classics folder and tell what was in there after goin out my way to help others no one seemed to want to help me when i asked for it not including you in this BTW

well thx for postin what files are in the classic folder now at least i know what i need to get a certain game workin no one wanted to tell me elseware for some reason

well i nagged and nagged the developer of coinops for certain midway games with sound running full speed in this emu i kept askin for a new core for these games based on mame 0.72 so i guess im to blame for this wider issues regarding this situation dont interest me at all im just happy to be playin these games

coinops 3 is finally out many thx to everyone who helped make this happen

heres how to turn on the continue in 5 easy steps 1) in game press right stick to bring up in game menu 2) scroll down and select arcade settings then dip options turn on test mode and press red button to back out to game 3) dip options will now come on select system and then simply turn on continue 4) press right stick and go back to arcade settings and turn off test mode and then red button to back out to game 5) in the dip area select and press exit from system then exit again on main dip options screen game will now restart and you will have continue option again easy!!!

dont think im bein cheeky with ya but if your a novice with coinops etc maybe gettin the standalone and tryin to get it going yourself isnt the best way for you coinops 3 will be out soon maybe it would be best if you grab the full release ftp it to your xbox then everything should work straight away without much input needed by you otherwise post again and ill pm you about where to go to ask the dev about your issues with your emulator personally BTW agree about final burn legends you need to get it for your xbox but to get the most out of the arcade side of emulation youll need coinops as well

well coinops 2 r10 is a standalone release so no restrictions regarding how many roms you have as far as i know maybe you should delete it and start again with a clean install if you post 3 times you can recieve personal messages ill pm you a link to the official forum for this emulator then you can ask the dev for help with this personally BTW to get the best overall arcade experence you should use coinops fbl and cpx3

No idea. It was doing exactly the same thing for me in 1.666 but I found the problem in the driver and fixed it in 1.7; now it works as it should. I'd suggest not altering the ROMset in any way then maybe try it with a completely clean install of the emulator. yeh that done the trick +T+ and i even managed to make ddp3 black label the parent again one rom 2 game versions best way to have it
