That's called a color edit. I really don't know if other spriters do this but I manually change all the colors. I don't go through any menus. But for the colors, I took them from other characters of the same game. The vast majority of bitchy sprite editers look down upon color editing. I've already said to hell with them. I enjoy color editing which sometimes gives me ideas to do.

When I said "used as their own" I was trying to say that they wanted to use my creation and say that they made it. Then the admin said that anyone can freely do that all they want.

I remember a time when I did a sprite edit and someone said if they could take that and use as their own. I of course said no unless I'm given credit. Then one of the admins said that if I make something and show it then anybody has the right to take it as their own. I've despised and shortly left the site afterwards.

I think Mgbenz is trying to say it's disrespectful.
