Speaking of which, I don't have a host in mind for pictures, so if y'all want to turn it into some kind of "exclusive," I wouldn't mind at all. You're apparently the only other person in the world. This is part of what has me on the fence about it. I LOVED FF Tactics on PS, it stands as probably my favorite FF ever, but I just couldn't get into the newer GBA title. I played Ogre Battle, and loved it, but Tactics Ogre (at least on the GBA) bugged me because of how clunky the interface was. I really hope he does a good job with it, but his name isn't an instant win for me.

I'm fully aware that the big media orgs are going to have more/better coverage, but are a few more pics of interesting stuff really a bad thing? And you get to pick things you want to see more of - big orgs don't let you do that either. Besides, it turns out I might be going all three days, so I'll really need more to do.

I agree with whoever said the FF series has gone downhill. So far, XII doesn't look to me like it's going to save it. The character designs are ghey, possibly even worse than X's, and it almost looks like they're trying to change too much all at once. Of course, I'm one of the two people in the universe who liked 9 and hated 7, so obviously mine isn't the popular opinion. We'll see though, I'm not entirely giving up hope until I play it. As for the naming scheme... I don't mind it because the games do share common storytelling themes and a sort of meta-world with the items, chocobos, gods, etc appearing in all of the different variations. The "Mana" games or the "Chrono" games or even the "Saga" games don't quite carry the same themes as FF, and I'm not just talking about a lack of "phoenix downs." Alos, it would have been some kind of slow suicide to try and market all those games under unique titles, and would have made the RPG's "mainstreaming" extremely difficult, for better or worse. That said, I don't feel that VIII or X should have been part of the roman-numeraled sequence. Those two kept almost none of Final-Fantasy's mythical-hero-story feel. I also think XI should have been a subtitled one, like Tactics was, and is the most obvious abuse of the brand name.

Well, E3 is coming up in about a week. I know I'll be there Wednesday, and I might be there Friday as well. Others that visit the site might be going too, I dunno. I've been to a few of these before, and I usually end up seeing most of what I want to see in a few hours, then wandering aimlessly for the rest of the show. I thought I could give myself a little direction, and maybe give a little back to 1emu, by extending an offer for pictures, etc. Obviously, I won't be able to get everything. Some companies won't let you take pictures, and I'm only there for a couple days at most. I may not even bring back anything, but I thought I'd at least offer and see what I end up with. Plus, you guys will be giving me ideas for cool things to look out for. How this works: - Post a few titles you're interested in - about 5 or 6 is a good upper limit. Try to give the developer/publisher as well, as that will make them easier to remember while I'm wandering the floor. Don't give me some huge list. - If you need inspiration, there are a few threads with big lists of upcoming games, like this one: http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php...topic=13277&hl= - Of the things requested, I will be focusing on those that interest me and a few of the most popular requests (assuming there are enough requests to consider anything "popular"). That is all. Request away and make my trip interesting!

I woudln't put the idea of a wacky publicity stunt past chappelle, but it could just as likely be real issues. Why south africa though? Is he from there? Never really liked him as a comedian - He's amusing, but not amazing, imo. I have plenty of friends who are crazy dave chappelle otaku though, I'm sure they'll be watching this.

Identities are stolen all the time as it is, and pictures aren't a real important part of it I don't think. It's more about the social security numbers and ruining credit and things. As for the site.. I've heard of this "national ID" thing before, and the only part that really scares me is the remote readable aspect. I really don't like the idea of projecting my identity in a radius around my wallet, no matter how secure some government monkey thinks it is. Other than that, I think the site is largely a bunch of paranoid reactionist crap. I'm not saying this is entirely untrue, but I'm not seeing how, really. Former police states had national IDs, but having national IDs does not make a country a police state. As long as it's JUST a means of identifying a person, what (and this is an honest question, not a smart-ass remark) makes people think it will turn us into a police state?

As far as "good things" go, particular "races" of people becoming powerful is not real high on my list. It can certainly be a very significant "bad thing" though. You can thank the germans, or any of the other conquering nations throughout history, for that lesson.

One race or another being more powerful is a spit in the ocean in the long run. What I'd like to see is the whole world get closer to working together instead of everybody for their own ass. Pipe dream? Yes. But that doesn't make it a bad idea.

Whenever I'm reading a large block of text, I habitually highlight bits of it as I go. I'll highlight the line I'm reading, what I've read, or just randomly drag the highlight up and down. I don't even realize I'm doing it, but it drives over-the-shoulder readers crazy.

He said he was looking for a NON-slimline, and I don't blame him either. Maybe someday, someone will figure out how to replace the flip-top with a slot-loader like on some laptops.

Actually, the website, gun, and targets are (to be) located in Texas. Even more fitting, I think. I read an article about this proposed website a while ago and thought the idea was retarted then. It's basically some rich dude that wanted to move a bunch of exotic animals onto his ranch in Texas and then let people shoot at them over the internet for a fee.
