Wavebirds are amazing, but no, they don't have rumble features. The only reason they leave them out is to appease Gryph - Rumble features are battery suckers since they involve moving parts.
-
Cinder pretty much covered it. One important note though: Don't bother getting one at the post office or your bank. Go to a reputable grocery/drug store and pick one up. They've got the same pros and cons, they can still be cashed at any bank, except they're usually a dollar or two no matter the amount. USPS or a bank will usually charge at least $5.
-
It helps if you turn them off when you're not using them. :\ For some reason, wireless PC peripherals tend to eat batteries worse than anything else I've seen. No idea why. Haven't messed with the newer bluetooth stuff though.
-
I used to worry about that too, until I got my first wavebird for my GC. I've had it for about two years now, and I've only had to change the battery in my main (1st player) bird once or twice. And yes, it has seen extensive use. In fact, I bought a pack of 8 batteries as back ups when I got the controller, several of which have since gone to unrelated devices, and I still have 2 left.

She's just lubricating it for a better disc-launch.

My center of all that is sounding is brown. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Is it some old school wooden speaker box setup or something? I did say "most" to cover my ass in this situation.

My eyes caught on this. The first Warhammer 40k was awesome, I hope the next release will be better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's not the first Warhammer 40k, it's the first Dawn of War. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yep. Chaos Gate was awesome too, but the trick to make it run in XP requires making the cultists not attack. :\ Winter Assault is supposed to have a scratch-built, fully playable Imperial Guard army, nice and tank-heavy like they should be. While another army sounds good, I'm not sure I would have picked the I. Guard. I guess they're probably the easiest to make (and making an entirely new army is A TON of work in that game), but the Tau, Tyranids, or almost anyone else would have been more interesting I think. And my list of "to look ats" for E3: These are all sequels or addons to games I know and love, so there's no avoiding these. Even if some of them *coughhitmancough* looks like cheap bastardizations of a franchise. Advance Wars DS might be the game that convinces me to get a DS someday, so I have to check it out: The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Next-Gen, PC) Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Winter Assault (PC) The Sims 2: Nightlife (PC) Hitman: Blood Money (PC, PS2, Xbox) Harvest Moon: Another Wonderful Life (Cube) Harvest Moon: More Friends of Mineral Town (GBA) Advance Wars DS (DS) Fire Emblem: Souen no Kiseki (Cube) Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones (GBA) The previous iterations of these titles had at least some redeeming quality about them, so I have to check out the sequels: Call of Duty 2 (PC) Battlefield 2 (PC) Black & White 2 (PC) Soulcalibur III (PS2) The ideas behind these intrigue me. I want to see if they're going to be worthwhile or just wasted ideas. And Killer 7 is STILL not out, wtf? The Movies (PC, PS2, Xbox) Samurai Western (PS2) Killer 7 (Cube, PS2) Dungeons & Dragons Online (PC) Advent Rising (PC, Xbox) The first two look like psuedo-returns to old school beat'em up gameplay. I'm expecting to be dissapointed, but I at least want to look. Gauntlet looks like it might be a decent party-game dungeon crawl. Beat Down: Fists of Vengeance (PS2, Xbox) Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks (PS2, Xbox) Gauntlet: Seven Sorrows (PS2, Xbox) I have no idea what any of these are. The nintendo games are on there because the big N tends to do unusual things, and these sound like they might be that kind of title. Tactica Online caught my attention by combining the word "online" with the idea of "tactics." Tactica Online (PC) Odama (Cube) Nintendogs (DS) Anything by Koei must be at least looked at. And one of them says "online?" Interesting. Colosseum: Road to Freedom (PS2) Romance of the Three Kingdoms X (PS2) Uncharted Waters Online (PC)

Saluki Never heard of it before. It says it's some Iranian breed related to the sloughi, and it looks like a long-necked racing dog, but with really gay ears.

black matches most entertainment equipment. White not so much. :\ Other than that, the white looks nice.
-
I think it looks nice except for the big, useless silver bezel piece. I doubt that it's real, but who knows? All the magazines have had "what if?" sections about the new consoles, I wouldn't be surprised if that's what this is.

I live too close to the border to like Taco Bell. Ok, that's not entirely true, but it's rare that I crave Taco Bell's special brand of not-mexican food.

Islands is awesome. Chili's used to be good, but someone bought them out or something and now they kind of suck (maybe I'm just bitter about the margarita grilled tuna). Applebee's is decent, but they have a bunch of weird stuff on their menu. Fuddrucker's is basically one of those types of restauraunts, but more specialized. It's kind of like an In-And-Out on steroids. It has a very twisted old-tyme soda fountain/burger joint feel, as opposed to Ruby's rollerskate diner feel, and that has been blended with a family friendly sports bar of sorts. The burgers tend toward awesome, and the seasoned fries are the best anywhere. Check 'em out if you can.
-
Ruby's is decent, but I've never been to a Johnny Rocket's. I don't know if I'd consider it any more "upper tier" than Fuddruckers. Both are basically beer and a burger joints at best where I'm at. Ruby's has a slightly more "adult" atmosphere to it though, and is sans obnoxious sports fans.

Nintendo should pay to have a "Bill Gates from Teen Beat" advertisement aired during the MTV spot.

This may be old news, I dunno. A friend sent it to me and it was interesting. The timing is impeccable. http://www.manylemons.co.uk/The_Narutrix.shtml

I hope that's supposed to be a comparison. If the one on the right is an actual in-game shot, I'll eat my hat. (I don't have a hat, so don't get your hopes up) The one on the left looks about as good as all the other shots that've come out so far, like the new Elder Scrolls game - they all look like pre-rendered CG from a few years ago, which is not bad at all.

Nice body, face and flocked up eyes are not quite bagworthy. Makeup is atrocious, face is plain without. Hot or not rating? 7. Couldn't care less about her spawning, except that it's one more flocked up hollywood kid. If they can't work their delusions into our way of life through the media, they'll breed it in, I guess.

Doesn't look like much of an improvement. Same lame-ass d-pad. At least it's nicer than the B-Type controllers (think about it).

Remember, Sony can make its own parts. This is still up in the air. back before ps1 to most people the idea of video games was to expensive and too geeky. Soon as the ps1 comes out everyone on the block has a ps1 and no one really cares about the game play they just want cool cut scenes like in final fantasy 7... blah i miss the old days . Then things got even worse mario was no longer cool since he wasnt a badass or mature. Thanks sony thanks alot. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> We have different definitions of "casual gamer." I wouldn't call anyone willing to play through FF7 a "casual gamer." I was referring more to the people who would come into my store and talk only about playing Halo with their drinking buddies, or reminisce about the 2 games they had on their nintendo.

It's About Damn Time They Let The Tiger Loose

aren't the dual G5 processors the only 64-bit architecture that supports 8gb of ram? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The disadvantage of not being x86 based is that software ports are much more complicated. Macs do have video editing in the bag though, I have to give that to them. -
There is no God. You want proof? Read this.

From the link about "Krumping" in that article -
Well, I'm happy to see May Lee again, but I wish they'd make her not suck as much. And we're short on KOF news for now, but if they do well, we may be in for more good stuff in the future. The way I see it, in addition to the re-releases that I for one am happy to see, (especially with online play) SNKPSammyWhatever is opening two big doors with this latest round: 1) NeoWave. Atomiswave is a new generation of hardware for KOF, which means new capabilities. NeoWave, as their freshmen game, looks rather bland. However, if they continue to develop on this hardware we are very likely to get the next step in graphics that people have been bitching for, and with it possibly more attention for the series. 2) NGBC. I see this as KOF2. If this is successful, a series could follow, being essentially a new KOF (sans the "epic story"). When you consider the variety of characters in NGBC, this is not something I would mind. All speculation, of course, but things to think about.

That ad is hilarious, especially because of the guy's expression. He's like "why not?" Fuddruckers is pretty good. Really good burgers and atmosphere than some other restaraunts. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The best thing about fuddruckers is smothering their seasoned fries in that cheese sauce stuff. Each order, so prepared, probably takes three years off your life, but it's worth it. Their burgers aren't half bad either, but unfortunately the atmosphere at the local fuddrucker's is kind of lame now. Sort of a half-assed family burger joint feel, where no one really gives a damn, last time I went. It used to be a little better kept a few years back, it was more like a kid-friendly TGI Friday's.

yeah see thats what it is. Since sony is getting sued for using rumble patents they will probably patent any freakin bullshit they can think of incase it becomes real so they can sue and take credit for it. Sony is gay <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Actually, they have a specific idea of how to do it, they just haven't actually DONE it yet. They patented the idea so that no one gets wind of it and then beats them to this specific execution. Others are free to come up with a technology that does this, as long as they come up with their own specific way of doing it. It's not like they just said "Someday, we might have cars that fly, let's patent cars that fly." No, they actually spent money on research and found that if you tie a duck to each strut, you can probably get a car to fly. Other companies are free to make flying cars, they just can't tie ducks to the struts 'cause that's patented. On the one hand, it would help in the advancement of technology if everyone's ideas were completely free to rape and pillage. On the other hand, capitalism as we know it would be difficult to maintain in that situation. Whether or not that's a bad thing is up in the air, I guess.
