Super mario advance wont seem to play, everytime it loads it says save file corrupt but i never played it. any suggestions besides get the jap version

I need help with making Metal slug 5 work in Nebula 2.24, the rom loads up, but when it comes on a message appears at the top of the screen that says game locked appears, yet u can hear the game playing in the background, any solutions. thanx if u can help.
