That sounds like an alcohol image. Do you have a.mds with it? Probably mount it with a software like daemon tools to play it.

Oh. In that case, if you click on "Choose recorder" or somesuch, and choose "Image recorder - Virtual drive" it should make an image when you goto burn.

I've owned Seagate and WD drives, havent had a Maxtor yet. My biggest one, which I've had for a while now is a WD and it runs very nice. Pretty quiet too. So Im probably leaning towards WD atm.

If I remember right you can create a HD copy, in either ISO or NRG format. or are you trying to make one from another filetype?
