Extracting/Listening Music
Edgecution replied to Edgecution's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
Sounds interesting - where can I find it? -
Simple Question - I want to listen to some music of my neo geo roms. I don't find any good sites with mp3's (If you have any, links please), so i want to know if there's any quite simple way to extract the music from the game or at least a simple way to listen to it.

Whats your favorite kinda music?
Edgecution replied to Lucandrake's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Yep, they are. "Six degrees of inner turbulence" and "Metropolis Part 2: Scenes from a memory" are - IMO of course - the best albums out there. Absolutely MUST HAVES. -

Just a question of interest: You know what they're still active and better than ever? (especially Dream Theater)? -
Who's better? Capcom or SNK?
Edgecution replied to Lucandrake's topic in Arcade Emulators [/pc/arcade]
Yap, I agree. And another problem is the one, that they're losing credibility as producers. It just seems like they only want to make a bunch of bucks - either its a high quality game or its not. This is exactly what leads to the points you already mentioned. -
Well, i don't wanna say they're sick bastards, but...oh, wait, that's exactly what I wanted to say. SICK BASTARDS~!

Well...all honor to SNK, but that's simply wrong. Just look at the six billion King Of Fighter Games. In my opinion it would be totally okay to release one game every 2 years, instead of producing unbalanced and incomplete stuff like KOF. -

Well, its hard to tell. My favourtie Music generally is Metal, especially Progmetal. But I also like Ska-Punk very much, and I live hard rock too. Sometimes I also like to listen to some electronic music. So I have to pick a few bandnames, they would be like that: Dream Theater Mad Caddies Queensryche Finger Eleven Daft Punk Fatboy Slim Symphony X Stratovarius Jimmy Eat World Ska-P Ayreon Disturbed Slayer Muse Slut Coldplay Transatlantic RAGE Rage against the Machine -
Dimebag Darrell/Patrick Lachman shot
Edgecution replied to Edgecution's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Well, I'm mainly shocked when I imagine this situation. Just think about it - you're on a concert in the crowd, and all out of nothing there's this guy jumping on the stage and shooting the band and some other guys beside you in the crowd. This is just scary... Vinnie Paul is the only member of the band who is kinda unharmed. Of course he has a shock, but it will be a really hard time for him realizing what happened out there. -
The shooting took place shortly after 10 p.m. at Alrosa Villa, located at 5055 Sinclair Rd. Two members of the heavy metal band Damageplan were reportedly shot and killed, including Dimebag Darrell, formerly with the band Pantera, NBC 4's David Wayne reported. The other band member's name was not released. The alleged gunman also died at the scene, Wayne reported. Shortly after the band began playing its first song, a man reportedly ran onto the stage and began shooting, according to a witness who identified himself as Sean. Some members of the audience reportedly thought the man running onto the stage with a gun was part of the band's act, NBC 4's Erin Tate reported. Witnesses said that several shots were fired at the band before a bouncer tackled the gunman before he was shot and killed. Columbus police Sgt. Brent Mull said the shooter appeared to be targeting the band members. After opening fire on the stage, the gunman turned on the crowd. At that point, an officer shot the man dead, Mall added. Police said there could have been many more fatalities had the officer not killed the gunman. NBC 4 reported that of the surviving victims, one person was in critical condition while the other was in fair condition. Several others were treated at the scene, suffering from various injuries. Alrosa Villa is a popular north Columbus nightspot for young adults, featuring rock and heavy metal bands, NBC 4 reported. According to the band's Web site, Damageplan was touring nationally. It performed in Buffalo, N.Y., on Tuesday night and had a concert scheduled in Flint, Mich., on Thursday. Damageplan featured former Pantera artists Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul. The pair were joined by vocalist Patrick Lachman and bassist Bobzilla, according to their Web site. Watch NBC 4 and refresh nbc4i.com for additional information. --- Quite "funny"...just ordered the first album of the band 3 days before.

Earthbound was okay, but it lacked a bit of atmosphere. My Top 3 (without specific order): Secret of Mana 2 / Seiken dunnohowtospellit 3 Bahamut Lagoon Chrono Trigger

Yup, definately. This is one of the rare examples where the sequel is actually better than the first movie, IMO.

Well, it's the same for me. I download a game, an album - and if i like it i buy it. I think that's the only method to get good games or good music today. Just have a look how many junk gets produced... -

@Topic Not that easy to answer. Capcom just delivered one of the best fighting series ever. Street Fighter Alpha 3 is quite near to perfectness, but lacks some balance between the characters. Anyway - the game is just awesome. Great Character design, perfect handling and nice Storymodes. I was never too much in KOF, because it was kind of heartless. No cool story, just that usual "OMG, I invite all the characters to an allmighty clash and at the end there's one big story battle..." But I have to admit i just prefer SNK. First of all, there is Garou, which shows on an impressive way how cool 2-D Beat em Ups can be. I'm not one of the biggest Garoufans, because i never liked that many characters of it (but that's personal - they're all very well designed and are unique, too, in most cases). The Game is just what I call "cool". Samurai Shodown is also quite cool, because it has an very unique atmosphere and some really impressing characters. But I have to admit i'm just digging SS4 - I miss the story in Part 5. The main problem of this game is the unbalanced characters - it's nearly impossible to win this game with some characters. And on the other hand there's my favourite game of all time - Last Blade II. In my mind this is the best Game ever made for any Platform. The Balance between the characters is awesome, the beautiful graphics are stunning and the countersystem just works perfect. Also very fluid controls and a nice gamespeed. Besides that, the characterdesign and the story (and thats quite rare) are marvellous IMO - I can play that game again and again and the story-mode won't stop to excite me. It's so cool how different the characters are. So, as you might have guessed i'll choose SNK.
