I'm used to my teeth now, got them when I was 17. But I really didn't feel them when I was "getting" them. The hardest part was when it ripped through the skin then after that I couldn't stop playing it.

Question, which one of these cards would better handle the act of recording and streaming live? With my current card (Diamond 5750 HD) it pushes the game to its limits, and the stream itself is a little laggy (Windows 7 Example) (WinXP Example). I need 60 FPS in-game, and need the stream to have better quality (although I am satisfied with its current output, the issue I'm having is in-game I'm having to adjust to the FPS drop making it harder to play sometimes). So I plan on doing 2 things to help improve this, 1, get a new video card and down the line eventually crossfire it with my 5750. If the nvdia would better suit the stream however I can sell my 5750 (only 3 months old atm) and use both those monies to get two gt cards (the only problem I have with the gt series atm are the cores, with ATI and its 5XXX series hitting over 4 digits in this category I can't help but feel gooped with an nvdia, but I'm asking myself if its a worthy sacrifice for what I'm trying to do, since I know the nvdia cards still have faster ram). A hefty upgrade from my current card and I'd figure it would be safer for me considering this machine was built to handle GW2 on release. I still plan on putting many hours into that game as soon as it comes out. However I'm unaware of the difference it is from GDDR3 to GDDR5. My friend has always been a NVDIA guy and if he ever ran into one of their PR guys he would probably get hired in the sense of selling more cards. It also only has a measly 216 stream processors. So I ask which would be my better bang for the buck? Since I have already a 5750 and can crossfire that to the other beast, right now I'm leaning towards the ATI, but I just want to hear from the other techies here that I'm making the right decision .

Man, I wanted to give Borderlands a shot but it never really pleased me with its early game-play. I turned it off after a 2 hour rental that I had gotten and just returned it on due date without giving a second thought. The beta key, is it worth it?

Dude, it's easy to keep up with gaming. You only have to do a couple of things every day, visit sites like Kotaku/Destructoid, those 'blogs' are the best when it comes to whats hot but not yet sense. Destructoid has a lot of love for certain publishers (especially indie/small time ones) so if you read their stuff you will start memorizing both big names and small ones. Visit Digg and Reddit for gaming topics as well, see what the internet is keeping up with. For the mainstream stuff I would stay with websites like Gametrailers, they do some awesome videos but cover the stupid mainstream shit as well, that goes for the big name guys too like 1up or Joystick. The first 4 sites I visit on nearly an hourly basis a long with this one. That's really all you have to do to "keep up" with the gaming news. The last thing I would do is get a Gameinformer subscription, and possibly another 2-3 magazines. They're good to read while taking a shit and will delve deeper into the "avg consumer". But really dude, it's Gamestop, the only real skill you need is, "Mam, if you purchase a subscription with our magazine it'll only cost you $x.xx with the purchase of your new console. Also you can pre-order the new Call Of Duty game coming out soon for only $5 (which will go into the purchase price of the game) so that you can get your son an early Christmas present." , as long as they say yes to those 2 questions you'll do fine.

Work + 1 school at course tires me. I really want to attempt my hand at gaming on a granduer scale. I've figured that I would need some months of pure game time so maybe next year after I get a A.S to repair PC's I can convince my parents to leave me the hell alone and game for a bit. Also, I just recently got my stream running, going to post the link here when I finish tweaking it for quality.

Was wondering if anybody would want to join, right now it's just me and a buddy, if other peeps could join that would be fun. I only have a 1 MBPS upload speed, for me and him the game is running just fine, don't know about other things though. It's a great game if you're into Harvest Moon / Sims / Simcity. I consider it the Farmville everyone should be playing.

I was recording uncompressed, I wouldn't dare try to compress on the fly.

I can capture it from the same pc, the problem is my frame rate drops so low that it makes the game unplayable. I would have to sacrifice the game resolution (which I can't, the resolution its on now allows me to do certain things normally you wouldn't be able too), or play it at lowered skipped frame rate (which I also can't).

Thanks for the info guys. I realize that recording my game play is outside my price range ftm, might take me a few months before I'm able to do it but instead of dropping triple digit moneys on a device that can capture what I need correctly I'd rather save up a bit more and build a new rig capable of doing what I'm asking from it with more cores and crossfire active. I've been at google for a while, I have 2 pc's next to each other and I was wondering if there was a way to hook them up so that one is dedicated to purely recording game play video while the other one is actually playing the game. I hooked up a KVM switch to both of them but can't seem to find anything online that would take advantage of that. It sounds simple enough yet I'm at a lost, I thought it would be as easy as starting up a recording program and hitting "record" but it just ends up recording the feed from the idle pc. Help x.x.

The game released in 97 i believe. I have played through at least 20 times. Shmoo drops Crissaegrim (sound familiar?), dodo drops Runesword, fire demon drops marsil. After your first playthrough, the Paranthropus: giant yellowish skeleton with a bone club, drops the Ring of Vardas. If you dont know, now ya know. Get 2 of them. I'm the grindy kind of player, in those 7 hours I managed to get my Sword familiar up to lvl 50 somewhere in there farming the octopus in the upside down castle. I agree that without the online Scott Pilgrim isn't worth $10, but my friends are big fans of the comics/movie so when I told them I got the game they were on it like white on rice. Beat the game in 3 sittings.

Beat my 3rd run through of Castlevania Symphony of the Night. You know what was awesome? Getting 200% map awareness in under 7 hours because I knew where everything was practically.

What if Nintendo made a bloody mature 3D Pokemon title? What if Sonic The Hedgehog Hog 4 started production back in the Saturn days? What if the Saturn got announced and not released into the wild back in the 90's? Where would Street Fighter be today had Capcom not embraced the combo glitches in the original II? Would First Person Shooters be alive today in the casual market if Halo had not been released for the Xbox? Would games be more popular today if Hollywood actually made decent depictions of our hobby with their movies? (Watching Super Mario Bro.s the movie makes me want to shit on the t.v. screen not go out and play Mario Bro.s).

I was thinking in my head, how cool would it be if we all agreed to meet up somewhere? It would be cool, the first problem is $$$, and the second is a slew of personal issues with all the members here. It sucks , I've always wondered what it would be like have I met some of you guys face to face.
