There's been a few ppl asking about getting the code. It's being uploaded as an archived repository now. There's conditions though: 1. Wait for the "archived" mode to appear, otherwise downloading early means you'll miss out on some files - your download will be corrupt. 2. At the end of October it is planned to be deleted again, this time for ever. Same applies to the MESSUI repo. 3. If you decide to work on it, I cannot help you. You're on your own (or find a knowledgeable friend). 4. If you succeed, I will not host it. I don't want anything more to do with it.

It was deleted a bit earlier than it should have. Don't worry about it.

You must have some other ini files then. It's working fine for me - I always use windowed mode.

How are you trying to turn on window mode? All my builds use the ini file that's in the ini folder - not the one in the base folder.

Well done in getting it to work. Yes, the xaudio thing is a recent pain, you either restore from an older release (like you did), or update certain tools (but I can't remember which ones). There's no need for donations, and soon there will be no point. I don't use paypal or any online payment system, so I'd never get the money anyway.

I'd say you haven't set up your environment properly. The suggestion is to be able to compile standard MAME correctly first (ask around other places if necessary), then come back here and try again with the knowledge you've picked up. Also, don't use MAME from git - use the code from the last release or earlier.

As you know, whenever MAME finds itself in a sticky situation it will exit unexpectedly, often taking down the GUI with it. Our builds include graceful fixes for some of these issues.
