Not without testing them all, and you can do the same thing. I do have a Win98SE machine, but it's only meant for DOS-based games such as Doom. Also, it's packed away at another location.

All I can suggest is to look at the download page https://www.fbalpha.com/downloads/ scroll to the bottom, click on the red "Show Previous Versions [+]" button, and this shows a bunch of old stuff below it. I'd suggest trying one of the ANSI versions.

It's been added. You right-click on the game and choose "Delete game settings". It will remove the ini, cfg, nvram and sta files. It's not possible to delete diff files because those files only have the names of the chd, and there's no way to know what file goes with what game.

I've been thinking about it, but that's all.
