MESSUI 0.192 and MAMEUI 0.192 have been released and are available at the usual place: http://messui.1emulation.com/ There's no release of HBMAME. Changes: - You can right-click on a game and get the contents of the "history" panel into Notepad. This lets you have both the game and the notes on the screen at the same time. - The download of MAMEUI32 is now a full package with all needed files. There's no need to download MAME as well. - Added extra picture tabs for Bosses, ArtPreview and all the others that come with MAME's internal UI. You need to download and install MAME 0.192 before installing MESS/MESSUI.

In theory, yes I believe so. In the last 2 weeks it was down 98% of the time for me.
-
Why is this happening so much lately? It affects every site on the server, and is the new "normal" condition. It's only luck if access is available, most of the time it's broken.

Due to the extended downtime, which may or may not ever get resolved, future emulator releases will be at github. You can also log bugs there. MESSUI: https://github.com/Robbbert/messui MAMEUI: https://github.com/Robbbert/mameui Reporting bugs (for both): https://github.com/Robbbert/mameui/issues General talk can be done at Mameworld as was done previously. If the problems here can get resolved, then we'll stay.

I didn't know you had any resources for those. Can you list them? It's a lot of work to add extra tabs but I believe it can be done.

What happens if you try MAME from the command line and do the same thing?

MESSUI 0.191 and MAMEUI 0.191 have been released and are available at the usual place: http://messui.1emulation.com/ There's no release of HBMAME. Changes: - Fixed a problem where most vertical games were classed as horizontal

Tux, that was a left-over remnant from when the battle system was removed. I don't know why this last bit was left behind. Anyway, when it appears, just press F5 and it will fix itself.

Fixed the quoting, but it keeps ruining the spacing. I think this forum software is just about had it.

The cpc problem was a bug in MAME, which has since been fixed. http://mametesters.org/view.php?id=6689 I don't have a 4k monitor, and I don't use Windows 10, and I don't know anything about DPI scaling or what I might do to use it. So, there's nothing I can do there. You might be better off with another front end.
-
I think Windows itself expands the splitters when you maximise, but doesn't restore them when you un-maximise. Now I finally had a bug reported, that being most vertical games are showing as horizontal. This has now been fixed.

It sounds more like a problem with MAME rather than MAMEUI. What happens if you turn display scaling off? I think there's a MT bug logged about that. With the splitters, I entered the values you gave into my mameui.ini, started then quit MAMEUI, and the values did not change. So, unable to confirm. Splitters can be affected by the parameters starting with window_. Do they change too?
-
If you push part of MAMEUI off the edge of the screen, it will put itself back in when you start next time.
-
Nice to see you're still alive
-
Thanks.
