Because I'm still running Windows 2000 on 0.5GHz Celeron? Later versions of Firefox will install and run, but they are so bloated the entire machine almost freezes. Chrome won't install, although I've heard that it will work if you hack the installer. I have an old version of Opera installed, but it can't even display the Google logo properly. And, of course, the infamous IE6, which is much less supported than FF 3.6 is, and has major problems with many sites.
-
I still use Firefox, although a whole bunch of sites claim this version (3.6) is unsupported. As for privacy, I don't really know, but it seems ok.

Hi Dink and welcome. I've been reading your work at Neosource and have been very impressed at the investigations and fixes which you have accomplished. Look forward to seeing more! Of course if Neosource remains dead, you can always talk about it here instead.

Sounds like the software used on a helpdesk. There are lots of those around. Most are web-based, however they will send an email when a task is assigned to you or your group, and a reminder when the assigned amount of time (the SLA) will expire. There is space for people to enter notes which the others can read. You can set up incidents, requests, problems and changes as you wish. They are usually ITIL-compliant. I don't think you'll find a freeby on the net though.

I've never heard of a Playboy channel, but when I was a boy (it was long time ago), we would sneak into the newsagents store and take a peek at the 2 magazines that showed nudity. One was called Playboy, the other was Penthouse. Now, of course, there are magazines beyond counting.

Speak any other languages besides English?
Robert replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
Arabic is the most horrible language to my ears. Just normal speech sounds offensive. -

Speak any other languages besides English?
Robert replied to Alpha's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I know a number of computer languages. Does that count? -
What new videos should we upload to our YouTube channel?
Robert replied to Alpha's topic in Suggestions Box [/feedback]
Twitch doesn't work on my computer. Just a white screen. Youtube still works even though it says that support will be dropped any time now. -

I didn't have much trouble understanding the old blokes or the girl, except when they started using unusual words. The girl was speaking a bit fast in the beginning though. We have a number of English TV shows here from the BBC, so I've heard that accent before, although I didn't know it was Yorkshire. -
Of course. I've got a screenshot of Pornocop's profile

Do any of you guys use the "cloud" for backing up files?
Robert replied to Alpha's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
I would never do that. Not sure what your media has told you, but here we are informed that anything on a cloud would be looked at by American spies. Not that I've anything to hide, but you can't trust the bastards. -
Zombie attack in California. Nice! Just what the place needs. Honestly this seems a bit over-complex for a game... but then again I don't play any of the online ones. If I was a train driver, for example, how is that relevant to the scenario? Do I get to run over zombies in a gory splash of blood? I guess I've missed the point of what I'm supposed to do. My strategy (if I lived there): leave in a hurry.

There hasn't been any wrestling on our TVs for what seems like 20 years. It was good in the days of Hulk Hogan, George the Animal, Andre the giant, Randy Savage, Jesse the body Ventura (before he became a politician) and several others whose names escape me. But toward the end, it was becoming obvious that it was turning into a scripted movie show, and I think that's what turned off the audiences here. It was still WWF back then too. I can't imagine why anyone would want to pay to watch that drama now, they should be paying us! I suppose if you have a fascination with bodybuilder's muscles you might be able to justify it somehow.
