I guess Emsley or Superman would be the best bet... whatever happens, enjoy yourself there -
Do we have a winner?

4GB is the maximum for a 32bit system (you can put more in, but the OS won't see it). I would regard 4GB is the minimum usable for a 64bit system.
-
Still using it.
-
Good to see the old computer is still working after years in the garbage bag.

When are you moving here? I can guarantee you will get a job with your qualifications. Just leave the baggage behind.

in the cities it is expensive, as I mentioned earlier. But in the country, it is better although I have not looked at ads for a long time. I saw today you can buy 110 acres for $139,000 out at Bathurst, which is an afternoon's drive from Sydney. It's an entire hill, and is green (not a desert). Nice view, no house though. However I'm sure there lots of better prices out there if one takes the time to look. In Sydney, the inner city areas are in high demand because its close to work. So, the "rough" areas are becoming safer, because the poor cannot afford to live there.

I'm on the east coast. There's only one city on the west coast.
-
You're lucky you can get places that cheap. Here it is simply not possible to get even the most wrecked house for under half a million dollars. The property market here is just insane. The only way to get something at a decent price is to buy something away from this city.

Because I'm still running Windows 2000 on 0.5GHz Celeron? Later versions of Firefox will install and run, but they are so bloated the entire machine almost freezes. Chrome won't install, although I've heard that it will work if you hack the installer. I have an old version of Opera installed, but it can't even display the Google logo properly. And, of course, the infamous IE6, which is much less supported than FF 3.6 is, and has major problems with many sites.
-
I still use Firefox, although a whole bunch of sites claim this version (3.6) is unsupported. As for privacy, I don't really know, but it seems ok.
