This afternoon an earthquake of about 8.8 occurred off the coast of Japan, shaking buildings in Tokyo and setting an oil refinery on fire. Soon after came a 10 metre high tsumani sweeping away houses, boats, entire buildings sweeping far inland through fields and towns. Reports are still coming in, but the devastation looks to be massive. A tsunami warning has been issued for most of the Pacific.

I had not even read that thread before... haha I see no need to apologise though, if that's how it was, there is no disgrace to talk about it. IMO.

That is over 2000km north of me, just a heatwave here.. Cyclone passed over the coast at Mission Beach and Tully, and heading toward Georgetown about 400km inland, where it will still be a category 2 there. Most areas report less than expected amounts of damage, although there is no word yet from Tully or Cardwell (the next town south). Most areas from Townsville to Cairns were blacked out. The eye of the cyclone was 35km wide. We will hear more during today, it is 8:12am atm.

The revolts in Tunisia and Egypt got coverage on the main television news bulletins here, so at least in this country we know of it, but obviously not as intimately as Elazul Yagami would. We heard that in Tunisia, the president said he would relax restrictions on internet and other things, the next day he fled the country.

Next door neighbour threw out some junk, in there was an xbox. I grabbed it, with the power cord and the video cable, and plugged it in to my TV. A green ring appeared, then a logo and it was asking for the time. I don't have any joysticks or cds, so nothing i can do with it. But it does appear to work. Since I have no interest in using it, I will give it away to someone local who would appreciate it more.
