Do you guys even have Fry's in the U.K.? I'm very sorry if you don't. You see, for about $75 (38 pounds) you can get an Athlon XP 2400+ with free motherboard.
-
Buy an Athlon from Fry's and save $100.
-
Yeah, I saw it too. It's on http://www.auby.no/ I've played the game on Dualis and it is really pretty fun.
-
Awesome. Now all we can do is wait and see if this jerk actually gives up, disappears off the face of the earth, or (most likely) continues to ramble that it's his own emulator.
-
Look, this emulator is obviously fake. If you look at the screens on the first forum each is from the DSEmu homepage and the Dualis homepage respectively. It's just not real. Oh, and what the heck is a "FHXNMS HYBRID SPECTRUM chip"!?!?

Try downloading the newest version right now. A lot has been updated since you last tried to get the demos working. -
That's funny. When I download davr's touch demo, all I get is a black screen. When I try to use the mouse as a stylus (clicking) nothing happens.
-
Yes, I've had that demo for awhile also and, ever since TetrisDS became playable, it has worked.
-
Actually, first.bin has two screens. You just need to use the version provided with the latest copy of DSEmu. Also, TetrisDS-2Player is also available with the latest copy of DSEmu (that's the two-screen version). natrium42 is on a skiing trip and, unless someone else got his permission, it might be awhile before you get that Battleship demo. Trust me, I've tried.
-
I got Comcast here in good ol' California and it STILL doesn't work for me.
-
I just was wondering why DSEmu.org wasn't propagated yet. With these new-age DNS servers aren't domains supposed to go up in an hour or two?
-
Everything worked for me. I'd really, really like to get my hands on natrium's demo though. HyperDS shows it working as does Dualis but no one can produce the demo. Darn.
-
On the previous release first.bin wasn't working. Now, I've got first.bin working (albeit slower) as well as TetrisDS working (normal speed, identical to before). ArmWrestler gives a black screen on anything thumb, but if you hit Start you can go through the screens and get back to the main menu without seeing anything.

I don't know if anyone saw it, but Darkfader posted a message on his website (now gone might I add, he's having some SQL server issues) explaining how HyperDS did not play commercial games, Firefly was right, and also how much better he liked DSEmu. It was in a little pink box and I don't know why it's gone (there was the same error message when I first saw it). I think Firefly and DarkFader might have a personal issue but right now I'm backing DSEmu and staying out of the rest.
-
You have to admit though, Firefly was the original author of the first working GBA emulator. I do want to side with DarkFader though, I don't know why Firefly is punishing the community just because DarkFader leaked an old beta.

I really appreciate the work on the CVS, but I was wondering...what do you use to compile DSEmu in Windows? (If you use Visual Studio I'm pretty much screwed.) I've been trying different things (MinGW, Automake for Windows) but I just haven't been able to get the sourcecode to configure correctly. I've got the CVS working on my PC and I'm not a total noob (been running Linux as a dual-boot on my good PC and standard on my old computers) so I know how to compile sourcecode. The only problem is: I just don't get it in Windows. Don't spend too much time trying to help me (don't want to pull you away from the developing) but just a quick program name would be great.
-
Duh (those late-night projects really knock the common sense out of you). I turned LoadDS back off and all the original roms worked fine. I'm going to find some one-hundred percent (or at least pretty close) working demos and post pics of them like Federelli is. I won't get anything that isn't worth it though. EDIT: Unfortunately, after the GPU fix, many GBA Demos will either not run or not not show anything. I did manage to get one pic though:
-
I just though I should let you know that the problem I had before with DSEmu crashing whenever I ran a DS game is fixed. I can now run TetrisARM at full speed (I couldn't even get it to run before) and first.bin (that wouldn't run either). I would also like to note that you are correct about the sprites not working. Even fontdisp.bin is not shown correctly. Screenshots:
-
I'm pretty sure this means we will get the updated product in real-time as long as we compile the source ourselves. Am I right or am I so very wrong?
-
I just thought I should let you guys know why everyone from GBXEmu think that DSEmu is a fully functional emulator. Well apparently, xAix is linking directly to the binary on the official site, but they still have some fake screenshots located here: http://mxemu.com/nds-emu.php For those of you who are too lazy to click, here is a screenshot: I know there is nothing we can do about it, but, I guess I though I should give some info as to why we have so many people complaining that some fake ROM won't work.

Yes, you are right, it is much too early to be deciding on whether or not there will be skinning feature. Right now, I'm sure Two9A is just worrying about the CPU and maybe even the GPU sometime in the future. Of course, don't get me wrong, a skinning feature would be great but, as you said, it is still much too early to tell. Also, please, let Two9A speak. I mean, I could be totally off the mark, but somehow I doubt it.

I'm going to compile and run DSemu on my old 900mhz Dell. If this is a hardware thing and not a performace thing (after all, you managed to get it to work on your old 700mhz box) I'll let you know. If not, I'll also let you know. EDIT: I take it back. I didn't realize that the source code included only ran on Windows (duh!...win32 binary and source, not linux source) so I guess I won't be able to test it. I'll try to "borrow" one of my parent's computers for awhile, so don't give up hope.

I just wanted to say that I've been following the DS emulation scene since Day 1 and I've been very impressed with DSemu. The daily (or near-daily) updates, the quick responses online, it has all been very nice. I just decided to post my log file here to maybe help out a little bit. Below is my log after trying to load up first.bin (dovoto's demo) with LoadDS on (and also off) in dsemu.ini. That's it! Good luck!
