    You must have not carefully followed the instructions in the Makefile. It runs just fine for me (on linux).

    True, but that's not the point. The point is whether or not a fraction of that $1,000 went towards paying for a copy of MS Office. In this case, it didn't.

    Ive used that program before but you would think microsoft would give you a program that actually works!! ...well, it's a program that they are trying to make money with they're not just going to give it away for free

    For your M$ office problem, you might want to try open office. So far the only problem I've had with my documents is with using the equation editor.

    DVD Shink to rip and any data burning application is enough for me. I only get errors due to bad discs (too many scratches, etc).
