Due bad experiences with Fedora Core*, I would seriously choose Mandriva. *One program can be considered to be a dependency for the whole OS. Uninstall that program and the OS will uninstall itself. Even if it's a media player.

It isn't broken, it was up this morning when I checked. Google are just being nazis about it.

If Fedora Core can run on a ps3, then I'm guessing a wide array of programs can also be run as well. I wonder how well windows programs with wine would run on a ps3. Like utorrent.

Nah, it looks geniune to me. Instructions to install Fedora Core 5 on PS3. (It's a linux distro.) Don't be surprised if someone releases a video of them playing zsnes or snes9x on ps3.

I believe the one common thing that Jesus Christ, the Prophet Muhammad, Baal Shem Tov, Karl Marx, Adolf Hitler, etc have taught society after their deaths is that you can kill people, but you can't kill ideals. The world is (and always will be?) full of Christians, Hasidic Jews, Communists, Nazis, and Islamic militants no matter how many members of those groups are killed in a dispute. Say for example, we were to nuke the entire middle east with the consent of other countries--including China (this is an example!). Who's to stop the few survivors who were born in that region from secretly forming an organization with an interest on vengeance and killing in the name of god? You'll get the same damn thing over and over again.
