I always find punching the hell outta people in games fun, even in Oblivion.

I prefer turn based even though there is some very nice real time RPGs like Diablo and Neverwinter Nights. I like the leveling systems in turn based games better. So much easier to train.

Theres also the new Sam and Max, at least they have screenies and info on that.

I heard Lost Magic wasn't really good when looking for an RPG game. Is that true? I think being able to play RPGs handheld is better than console because you can level up or stat up when you have nothing better to do (like in the car) rather than waste time in front of the TV.

Diso and I have had many gaming battles in the various regions of gaming. Were sometimes evenly matched, most other times he wins. Except how I've terrorized him in SFA lately which is ruining his life.

Yes you should, but FF3 remake seems nothing like the original, if thats what you are expecting. Of course I base this on screenshots, but it still looks like it will be good.... i'm definately getting it. Also, get Star Fox Command

Is it possible to patch Xbox 360 games without having Xbox live? I mean like downloading them off the PC, burning them on a cd, and installing them onto the 360 somehow? I know you can get the backwards compatibility patches this way, but can you patch games this way?

Ah, you don't need to go. Stay and enjoy 1emu. I posted everday for a year (2003-2004) but when the new staff changes came around and the newer people got the positions and I didn't, i kinda lost interest too, but looking at it, who cares about position. As for the rest of you saying hes being too dramatic, no need to be harsh, Solidius has been here a long time and deserves some respect.

Update: Ah well, the problems back. I guess its just as the soundblaster website said and that it will have problems with this motherboard. Oh well, i've reverted to the onboard AC 97 sound.

Haven't had a problem yet after a couple reboots (which usually results in the problem.) It appears though that the soundblaster website states that users with soundblaster cards and my brand of mother board may experience problems. I didn't know that until just now. It could be possible that its fixed now anyways. Either way, its fixed now or I need a different brand of sound card... or onboard motherboard sound. Thanks for the help guys!

Ok, I downloaded and installed the hyperion pro chipset drivers. There doesn't seem to be anything wrong yet, but it might turn up. Am I supposed to notice anything different about the computer though?

You are right, my mobo uses VIA K8T800 Pro chipset, but I don't really know what that is. How do I update my chipset drivers?

I figured out the problem, it was my video drivers. I don't really get why, but when I reinstalled them, the sound didn't screw up anymore. Thats crappy ATI catalyst drivers for you. Thanks for the help Weirdy. -EDIT- Nevermind, the damn thing just looks like its fixed. Ok now I've got it working during online animations with sound, there is no popping. But as soon as I enter a game, the problem is back. Now I must ask, what the hell is wrong with this computer?

Yea, but it all seems to be ok. Its such an odd problem. I don't understand why its only during animation + sound, not just sound. For example, take a random YTMND such as http://soisoisoisoi.ytmnd.com/ and it will pop like crazy, but if I minimize the window and there is no animation for the rofl copter on the monitor, the sound is perfect.

Had SB Live! then replaced with a new SB Audigy SE to test becaues the Live is very old. Yes, and have tried alternative drivers. Yes, although the popping does sound like it could be a wire type problem.

Its been a while since I've posted on here. I'm having this problem with the audio on my computer. I just got a recent upgrade and about a week later I started having problems with my sound. The problem is I hear popping sounds through my speakers whenever there is audio accompanied by animation. So in games and online animations, among other things, there is a constant popping sound which bugs the hell outta me, but when I listen to music, there is not really a problem. There does seem to be a slight popping though when another sound plays along with the music. The problem only occurs every other time the computer is on. So right now, im not having the problem, but if I restart, I will have the problem. Thats why its so frustrating. I tried replacing my soundcard and that didn't help. I tried plugging in different speakers, that didn't help either. Maybe it has something to do with my mobo? Its an Asus A8V if that helps. If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it.

Theres a smudge or dust or something stuck under the top screen of my DS. I can't seem to get it out but I don't want to ruin the system by doing something stupid. Anyone know what I can do to get rid of it? [Edit] Nevermind, I forgot you could just use a knife or screwdriver to pry off the top screen. Its like a sticker.
