When i said it was my new favorite, its probably just because i just got it , I still like FMA, Trigun, Hellsing, Samuri X, etc. I despise the CTN versions of all anime though, their evil editing and such just pisses me off. How i was surprised when i bought a DVD of Samuri X (CTN Calls it Rurouni Kenshin) Its sooo bloody hehe. BTW this DVD is old to Japan but i think it just came out in the US

Oh yeah and another big tip - You know how sometimes you get those random moments in movies where it suddenly goes all crap and pixel-ey and then it goes back to normal? To avoid that from ever happening, be patient, encode one VOB at a time, and patch them back together later. By One VOB at a time, i mean on VOB per computer session Give your RAM a break! I suppose you could restart every VOB too.

Actually they where talking about this device about a year before the GBA came out. So i think NGage copied, then again i wouldnt count it as copying, Nokia is a phone company, why would they not make it a phone?

Well with Smart ripper, it tells you what quality the DVDs are encoded at, i usually encode at a rate thats about 500-1500kbps above that, depending on how much i think it will effect the movie. Anime/Real/CGI, it depends. for Audio i usually do Stereo sound, i dont have a surround sound system, so thats fine for me, but sometimes the DVDs only have 5.1 or whatever, so i encode it that way.

I researched it a bit, i think i like DivX better, i compared some videos i encoded myself. Thing is, i either need them in a format my DVD player can play, and thats pretty much everything BUT Xvid, DivX is the most convienient for me for many reasons.

yeah, Kazaa Lite K++ is what i have. Anyway, i found one on Overnet now that i started looking, thats like 7.5MB instead of the 1MB the kazaa one is, it has bareley any sources so im gonna leave the computer online all day and try to get it, maybe it will work, it says it comes with some extra stuff too!

i dont download camcorder rips. Those are a waste of time. Its better to get DivX And if your like me, you actually know how to encode DivX, and you can get it in perfect quality with no random pixelations or skipping. No one can tell what format my movies are in when i encode them myself, i pop em in my DivX enabled DVD player and get people to try and guess and they really cant tell. Its awsome.

Uhh, XviD is the same thing as DivX right? are you just writing DivX backwards or something? (im really tired, sorry if this is a stupid question) What quality are they at?

why? coders cables are like the same price. Probably not at lik-sang though, i dont know why everyone is so in love with them, yeah they have some pretty sweet stuff, but you can find it for a hell of a lot cheaper at other websites.

they should work with a boot disc its playing NTSC games on PAL thats the hard one I have a whole crapload of those for collection purposes and the things they changed from the originals are really minor and dont even really matter.

Update: I think the error might actually mean i dont have the softdec codec installed, ill look for that too just in case

Holy crap you will not beleive what i found!! I was bored and typed "Dreamcast" in kazaa, just for the heck of it, and on Kazaa, AND by accident i found.. THE OFFICIAL SEGA DREAMCAST SOFDEC MOVIE ENCODER TOOL!!! Holy crap its awsome! If anyone wants this, Post below, i might have the file hosted somewhere!! There is only one thing holding me back from watching movies on my DC perfectly, When i hit encode, it says "The proper libraries are not installed" Anyone know what that means? I have a feeling its just a Windows XP thing, if anyone has Windows 98 or something, let me know if you want to test it out!!

Try playing an audio CD, If that doesnt work, im going to have to tell you how to get into the guts of your PSX to fix this. Try cleaning your lense with a Q-Tip. You know, those ear cleaner thingers. This happend to a friends PSX, and i know how to solve it with about half the pain the the but as turning it upside down, Turn it sideways hehe, thats what he did. Also make sure your mod chip is still soldered in securley
