hehe, this topic is kinda funny usually i try to avoid anything that needs a bootdisc and either patch it, or find a selfboot version here, we are actually looking for those pain in the ass things that need one heh...kinda funny...not really...whatever....

most games dont need a bootdisc now, they are prepatched, you just burn and go, I know that DC Quake needs one, its a homebrew game, although thats for an older version i think, not sure

no dude, TAO causes SOOOOO many problems, NEVER use TAO unless you have to (which is only if your stuck with a crappy burner) ALWAYS USE DAO The newer Imation CDs that are being sold are very good, they just use a new forumula junk that the DC (and many other devices) have trouble reading because its so thick its almost a CDRW....god ive said that so many times... to Test if your CDs are good or not, burn a regular audio CD with one and throw that in, if THAT doesnt work, chances are they are crappy, either that, or your going to have to try multiple times to get things to boot whenever you burn on them

Well its time i chip another Xbox, im definatly going with the EvoX Bios because it rules, my question is, what mod chip? I used the Matrix last time and i hate flashing it because if its stupid serial port thing and bleh, i just have so many problems with the thing im liking the Chameleon chip with solderless adaptor, CD BIOS flashing :$$$: but what should i get?

ill go for it, i got a spare gamegear, a spare Neo Geo Pocket Color now i need to find a Game Boy Advance for cheap...this is going to be hard....

im not sure if those chips would fit right in an NES cart though, thats the problem, you need chips that work the same way with the same connections

Alienware rules, you where one of the 1/10000 customers to have a serious problem with them, i will admit they are very expensive, but they take the best parts and built you the best PC. Has anyone played the arcade game War: Final Assault? it was going to be ported to N64 but they cancelled it, it reminds me of Quake 3 Arena and i guess thats why i like it so much :$$$: the thing is, there arent that many NEW arcade games, yeah, but i dont care, because the OLD arcade games rule, my arcade has the perfect mix of old, new, imported, and just plain weird, the guy who runs it really rules for supporting the arcade scene the way he does.

yep good games i find a way to enjoy all my DC games, i dont know how, i have never come across a DC game i didnt like so far (except for some crappy homebrew ones) im not joking, i love em all :$$$: The Dreamcast is just my Dream system

teh GTA3? Yes there is a chance that its real, it wasnt supposed to be released yet, but a version leaked (I forget the exact story, one of the developers wanted to realease it real bad or something) its not the 100% complete version though, it may be glitchy

hmm, what game was it? everything should look amazingly clear, its virtually High Definition The only reason it might have looked pixelated is because when you view it on a lo-res TV (their ALL lo-res beleive it or not, expect high-def, S-Video is slightly higher than normal, etc.) then it blurs everything and it doesnt look like pixels, on the VGA its so sharp nothing is blurred. Im guessing it was a game that wasnt really ment for VGA, or your VGA box is crappy or something

you mean the reindeer? And im assuming you have the Bootdisc then... pretty much, let it load up to the reindeer, open the DC lid, put in your game that needs a bootdisc, close the lid, if its working correctly you should see a percentage in the corner and the game will eventually boot

yep, DC games are still alive in Japan, but not the system, its kinda weird, thats how it was last time i heard anyway Another good one to look out for: Grand Theft Auto 3, Dreamcast version, its a big homebrew project, do some researching, very interesting stuff

i have the original, its one hell of a game alright, awsome graphics, storyline, everything, it really grabs you and gets you into it with its storyline, lots of unexpected turns, really great game Make sure you upgrade your stuff any chance you get, and when you go into the little girls dreamworld after her extra eye gets removed, MAKE SURE YOU STOCK ON HEALTH RECOVERY ITEMS before going in, because otherwise that eyeball boss will be a major pain :$$$: (that probably sounded incredibly weird to anyone who hasnt beaten it yet)

yes it does at least, im pretty sure if you go to dreamcast.planetweb.com (still up and kickin!) and look at the details on games it will show you what it supports
