  1. play it safe, and boot them on VGA, they look sharper and 95% of games support it as for the intro removers, they are very hard to find, especially if their not Echelon intros, Echelon intro removers are the easiest ones to find, ive always found them using megagames or google Who is the intro for? What happens in it? Ill see if i can find it for you
  2. Bah, someone send me the image files and ill host them for you because i dont want this guide to die
  3. ok lemme set the record straight DreamKey 3-below, DIALUP ONLY Planetweb 3, BBA ONLY Planet web 2.6-below, DIALUP ONLY DreamPassport 3 and above: BBA ONLY (although mine is burned and could be hacked and whatnot, but im pretty sure about this) Dreampassport 2.9-below: DIALUP ONLY WebTV For Dreamcast Latest version (forgot what it was): BBA ONLY WebTV For Dreamcast (anythig below the Latest version): DIALUP ONLY And im not going to get into detail about the 47 variations of DreamPassport I see a pattern in the compatibility, do you?
  4. i still download smaller games here, my PC is usually online all day so i just keep it downloading (i have a V.92 modem so i dont miss any phone calls, where you can "pause the internet" take your call and "resume the internet") im going to get ADSL soon from XMission i think, not sure exactly when and if im going to get it yet or not though, i dont pay the bills around here another thing i hate: When stupid people that dont deserve it, and dont know jack about how to use it, get broadband, like those stupid AOLers, and people that actually know alot about computing and know how to use and take advantage of broadband, get stuck on dialup....
  5. You will be able to play the entire game 100% correctly assuming the images arent currupt want to know how i know this without even having the images? Grandia 2 CD1 Game Grandia 2 CD2 Game soundtrack You dont even need CD2 unless you want to listen to the music from the game, its just a regular ol' audio CD, no game at all CD1 is the game, its all on one disc
  6. i have a very large memory buffer so i burn at 52X without problems it really depends on your CD burner/amount of RAM/software your using though usually, if you have a real old burner with no buffer underrrun or anything, the smaller the file the safer it is to burn at a higher speed
  7. haha, oh well, sell the extra copies theres actually a way you can legally sell them, figure out how much the CDR costs and sell the CDR not the software that way your not making any profit, and its like you never bought it in the first place so its not a waste oh yeah, and Evolution 2 boots with a VMU inserted, i just tested it (its the original), im too lazy to test 1 hehe
  8. i LOVE Death crimson OX, i dont see why anyone hates that game, i know some parts can be corny (its almost 100% engrish) but its sweet! Dreamcast light gun games: Confidential Mission Demolition Racer Death Crimson OX House Of The Dead 2 Virtua Cop 2 Demolition Racer: No Exit Dyanamite Cop Death Crimson 2 Those are the ones i can remember off the top of my head right now, ill probably remember more later and ill post em of course, those are just official ones, there are lots of homebrew ones too if you want those
  9. pretty much, a bunch of cart slots, in one case, one screen A single handheld system, that plays any handheld game (hehe...like 5 mobos/power switches in it just because their not compatible, but oh well)
  10. holy.....crap......overnet....rules....... THANK YOU for recommending me to this...this thing has everything!!! even that rare Japanese Sega CD game ive been looking forever for!!!!!
  11. Arcade gaming rules, I went to the arcade today and played some House of the Dead III and beat it, and it ruled, then i played some LA Machinguns (older game), and beat that, again, and it ruled, and then i went to play Virtua Cop 3, and it ruled, i almost beat the game, but i was at one of those flocking arcades where they use the flocking cards and right when i was two shots away from beating the last boss the flocking card reader decided to flock up, didnt scan the card, i entered my high score, and THEN it gives me my credit, i was about to kick the stupid flocking thing off the machine i was so mad, so then i went to play the first level again and beat the entire level with 100% accuracy without getting hurt!! yeah, it was awsome...there are ALOT of new arcade games, you just have to know where to look, OH YEAH, and dont even get me started on the new Mechwarrior style game where you are in pods with like 40 buttons and 2 joysticks, and the pod moves, theres like 8 pods, and its all powered by ALIENWARE technology, alienware rules, FINALLY, a 64-Bit processor for the arcade , There where like 30 new kickass games that i wont even bother to list because im lazy. I was probably the only hardcore gamer there because i heard alot of people whining about 2D graphics and how they are crap and why they even have the machine anymore and how the game is crap, (which pissed me off so much i was 2 seconds away from beating them silly) The next person to diss a game because its 2D, or because its "too old to be good" gets a punch in the face....that pisses me off so much....grrrrr
  12. uh oh i have really bad news!! I went out and bought some flashable chips, a 256MB and a 512MB Well turns out im not going to get anywhere farther in this project because my Flasher doesnt support chips that large, probably because its ancient. Does anyone know where can i get one that supports 256/512 for cheap?, or at least, not TOO expensive?
  13. MASSIVE UPDATE: Throwing out the HDD idea Since i havent been sleeping because ive been working on this so much, i missed this, thanks to Dark Pulse for pointing this out to me Instead of wasting time with a HDD, why not just use a big Flash chip? Like 256MB or 512MB? Ill have a small flash chip for some kind of driver (if ill even need it anymore) and the Big chip will hold the massive ROM!! Holy crap, how could i have missed this? I need to catch up on me sleep!!! (its been like 9 days of practically no sleep because of this hehe) Im really excited now, ill bbl and tell you how it works out!!
  14. Oh by the way, i forgot to mention how we have it hooked up, we actually have the driver thing flashed onto a chip, in a cart (we had to buy an empty chip) and we used some game that had two chips in it (i think castlevania, i dont remember) and relaced the 2nd chip, with wires going to the HDD so it loads the driver thing first then loads the HDD, or attempts to anyway but we dont even know if thats what its doing, if anyone knows how to monitor exactly what an NES is doing with some soldering to a PC or something, that would help alot!!!
  15. Update 5:WOOHOO SOMETHING IS WORKING!!!....I think... anyway, on the latest version of the driver thing (its not really a driver...i dont really know what to call it) The NES accesses the HDD!!! It kinda opens the HDD and runs the program, but it takes REALLY long, and it runs all pixelly and chunkey Now we have to figure out, Is this driver right and the HDD just isnt getting the data to the NES fast enough? Or is the driver just off and needs tweaking? or some other problem? ugh...headaches, headaches......
  16. ive been thinking about doing this for a long time now, Should i fuse my Game Gear/Game Boy Advance/other handhelds into one system? that would be pretty cool i think, and i could probably make a pretty cool case for it. Think its worth it?
  17. The sad Truth... Do i like Consoles or Arcades better? Arcades Which are more convient/which do i play more? Consoles Its just more convient to sit at home and play my Dreamcast (which has many Arcade greats ported to it more than perfectly) If the arcade was just down the street, id be there every day, but it just isnt. I mean yeah theres MAME, but theres just that arcade feel to it, its hard to explain, no matter how fancy your PC, X Arcade sticks, trackballs and whatnot, its just never as good as the good ol arcade About beating Eminem, he acted kinda pissed for like 10 seconds (he didnt yell or anything, just the the typical AAAARRGGE!!!! you hear alot anyway hehe), but then he was cool, he didnt freak on me or anything
  18. This is why my arcade rules, they have all the great US games, and they import all the great Japanese games, Its really sweet, i should show you guys some pictures i took of the inside, its pretty much some rich dude who loved video games started a hobby of arcade machines, so he started this arcade, and it rules, it rules SO much, that stars have shown up there such as eminem having his birthday party there (guess who kicked his ass in Soul Calibur?), i really appreciate what the guy is doing, it costs alot of money, and hes doing it for FUN, not money, so even if hes losing money (trust me, he isnt, theres always tons of people there) hes still going to keep the place running just because he loves arcade gaming so much more power to him
  19. no, the only chatting stuff 2 supports is IRC...and i think that was only in 2.6
  20. i HATE, when there is only 1 seeder and then they log off when your download is at 99% (im on dialup, takes ALL DAY, and right when your getting excited about your new game....BAM...it stops...this is why i download most of my crap at my friends houses where there is cable )
  21. they drive me crazy, especially with their 8 page long, flaw-and-contradict-athons about how much 3D is better than 2D
