ok well you usually dont need a bootdisc
but get over to www.suprnova.com and install bittorent, they have a bunch of games
but you will find much more games on Direct Connect, websites usually either have fake ones/small ones/not very many because they are so large
-
ok im gonna post a list of what you should have for each one...
For DivX use DCDivX
http://homebrew.dcemulation.com/dcdivx.shtml
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE DIVX CODEC 5.10 OR BELOW, NOT 5.11!!! IT WILL NOT WORK!!!
For MP3 use DreamMP3 Or Pelicans MP3 player
http://homebrew.dcemulation.com/dreammp3.shtml
Thats DreamMP3
Pelicans one is floating around in a RAR file in DC Hubs that include the MP3 player among other things (cheating discs, boot dics, etc.)
Ive never tested it but this seems to play everything, it may not work well, it may work excellently, i have no idea, il test it and post again soon
http://homebrew.dcemulation.com/dcmovieplayer.shtml
Thats DC Movie Player by the way
-
heck no dude, ive beaten Grandia one AND two, Grandia Two is soooo much better!!!
-
whoah sweet, i used to know a place that would give you like 3 gigs free hosting for life with unlimited bandwidth
i thought it was too good to be true, but it wasnt, there where no ads or anything it was great!!! Unfortunatly the site was shut down a year or two ago
-
This depends on what kind of media files you want to play, tell me what kind of files and ill tell you
Certain players are only good for certain types
-
The DC is just loud, loudest Damned console ive ever played, there all like that, ive tried oiling it but it doesnt help much at all
Only be concerned if you hear a high pitched sqeeling noise that seems to change pitch after every normally loud drive movement, usually happens more often when playing burns/imports, this means your GD-ROM is coming off of alignment
-
yea, if you go to www.geocities.com/shibathedog (my directory) and download Rudra-e.zip its the patch, which includes a nice guide, teh first part doesnt spoil anything just teaches you basics on how to play, the second part is a walkthrough i think, very usefulll
-
there are ones, but they run like crap, do it on your DC, its much better
-
glad your having good luck, i would hate anyones DC experience to be a bad one
-
i just need a place with tons of space, ill make a HTML page, and have lots of files, thats for the recommendation, ill check em out, but im sure i can convince STUFF to give me more space when i need it at Anarchy hehe, but the more places to put your crap the better
-
sorry about the dead links, go here http://www.geocities.com/shibathedog/Downloads.html for teh downloads page where they work, sorry for any inconvienience
-
I dont remember where the heck i posted the links, but i uploaded downloads for people, and i cant find where i posted the links, but they dont work, and geocities is retarded
going here http://www.geocities.com/shibathedog/Downloads.html
should get you to the downloads page where they work, sorry for any invoveinience

Ok many of you already know about this but i decided its important for the n00bs, Its a program that is compatible with all of the best emulators and it takes your through the steps and makes you a perfectly working selfboot image to burn!!
I tested it out and it works flawlessley and its very very easy to use, i highly recommend it
Its called DC Factory
Get it at http://dcfactory.cjb.net/
-
nope, DAO, make sure overburning is on, Mode 2, any speed (if you have buffer underrun on your burner)
-
The music should already be in the image, if it boots, everything is perfect
The audio track much be there just because the DC looks for the audio track thats the warning message when you put your GD-ROM in a CD Player, thats all it is, nearly every image (with the exception of about 3 images) ive found have everything done for you
sometimes you need a bootdisc, but 95% of the time you dont
If you talking about taking game music out of the game, thats a whole different story, it depends on the game, or you can hook your DC up to the input jack on your sound card and record from there while having the music play
-
Ripping a PSX game means to copy the REAL game to your harddrive just in case you wanted to know
if you mean you want to burn the ISOs, use Nero to burn the ISOs to CDs
if you want to Rip a game, use Alchohol 120% and use the image making wizard
You need a modchip, or to use a swapt trick to boot burned games on a PSX though
i posted one but it mostly only works with 1 disc games, some games that are two discs when it asks you to swap, turn off your PSX, use the swap disc for the second disc and try to load your game, with some games when it saves before saying Insert Second Disc it actually puts a save with your position somewhere on the second disc
-
find a CDI to ISO converter...
search CDI2ISO on google or something
good luck getting this to run unless you have like a 8GHz computer with an ATi Radeon 9800 512MB DDR (not out yet, but confirmed )
-
some games are just stupid and take like 9 tryes to boot, theres like 1000 factors that effect this and i dont feel like listing them right now
Burn in RAW DAO, with OVERBURNING on MODE 2
if it doesnt work then try a bootdisc, if it still doesnt work you either did it wrong or the image was made wrong (make sure there is a 6 second audio track then data)
-
ok
You dont have the broadband adaptor, to use broadband download Passport 3.0 off of Romster Hub or Classic Sega Hub on DC
ALWAYS burn in DAO and ALWAYS have overburning enabled and burn in MODE 2 RAW
PM me for a list of dialup accounts if you need them for untill you get your broadband adaptor
-
ok if you want to get online, request a list of user/passes from me, ill get them to you, they only work if you live in the US though, this is much easier than routing it
All the emulators are at www.dcemulation.com as well as burning guides also check www.consolevision.com
None of the emulators COME with roms, you have to supply those yourself
You should use Nero 5.5, 6 is horrible, its fairly easy to burn DC games, DAO format, enable overburning
also if you have to pick, you burn at Mode 2 (this should be automatic)
The browser on DC has an onscreen keyboard that you can use with a controller, although its better to get a keyboard adaptor and use a keyboard (mine was 2.99 US) or get a DC keyboard (mine was 5.99 US)
anymore questions just let me know
-
ok this happend with a DC i had
You need to clean the laser lense, use one of those CD cleaners (the audio CD things with bristles in them) like 50 times then use Q-Tips (those ear cleaning things lol) I had a Dreamcast (Like Dreamcast number 8 i think) and it was SOOOO Dirty (it was from EB games, what do you expect? Go to Gamestop damn you) I had to do this as well as use my cleaning guide
Also you may have to realign your GD-ROM drive (not as a pain in the ass as it sounds, its really easy)
-
yeah it should support 2.0, but remember, 1.0 is actually VCD and 2.0 is actually SVCD not many programs use the numbers anymore.
and a tip
MAKE SURE YOU USE DIVX 5.10 WHEN YOU USE THE ABOVE TOOLKIT I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH!!!!
I used 5.11 and it didnt work, it sucks i know, but you dont really gain anything except stupid new icons and useless features you wont ever use from 5.11
-
hehe yep, i know i wouldnt want to use it, HUGE phone bills would occur
-
look in romster hub and classic sega hug on DC, if you cant find it there, gimme a PM or post or something, my friend next door has it, ill rip it for you and try to get one of my buddies on Cable to host it
Dc Media player's
in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]

Alright i tested DC movie player
it plays everything GREAT, everything works perfectly except one thing
when you play videos the audio is either offsync, skips, repeats, or combinations of the three
works great for audio though
just check out www.DCEmulation.com or www.Consolevision.com for a replacement or something for the rest of the files
