Tommy Wiseau is coming out with a new movie that is SUPPOSED to be a comedy and I cannot wait. It is going to be absolutely terrible.

I just watched Dead Snow. It is an absolutely fucking insane zombie movie. If you like Zombie movies you need to check it out. It has Nazi Zombies!! I think it's swedish or something so make sure to grab some subtitles.

I agree with the firewalls thing, I thought he originally had a firewall+antivirus combo from McAffee so I was recommending a Firewall+antivirus replacement. Anyway I actually started using the firewall just to try it out, and never ended up uninstalling it. Once you have it configured right it works really well and stays out of the way. It's handy for blocking pirated stuff from accessing the net as well The only annoying thing is for some reason it boots people off my wireless if I don't add them as an exception. I'm not even sure how this is possible.

It sounds like you where having some kind of DNS error. Ah well it's fixed now. Norton and McAfee are both garbage, Use ESET Smart Security if you want an all in one firewall/antivirus. Very easy to get a free subscription if your interested PM me. (there are alternatives that may or may not be very slightly better or worse depending on how you look at it, but they are much harder to get for free )

haha! yeah modem teaming I remember a lot of people on DC++ used to do that. As far as I know there is no way to do it in windows, I don't know why, I haven't even been able to find a third party app for it. It seems like something people would be more interested in but I guess not because like you said, if done legally it's still not very cheap. I guess the legal way to do it is to get a Cable and a DSL line because I don't think you can have multiple connections from one service going down one line. I know my ISP offers extra IP addresses for extra money but I don't think you get extra bandwidth just an IP. You still need separate NICs/Wireless Cards for connection teaming though.

Good ass game, One of my favorite RPGs. So I guess with the batman game its more based on timing/stealth than actual moves? Well that's cool, I guess if the fighting system was super awesome there would be no point to being stealthy because you could just fight your way out of anything.

This seems odd, Why did they sell out to Disney? I thought Paramount/Viacom owned the rights to all the movies, and if anyone could have pushed the brand it would have been Sony (PS3, Spiderman, need I say more?) Doesn't Universal do something with theme parks and Marvell as well?

Either there is something wrong with your 360 (I had a loud one and the disc drive blew up) or you spent a shit ton of money on fans/etc. to get your PC that quiet. My video card alone is louder than a 360. Although it is definitely the loudest thing in my computer. Yeah cause the money spent in gas CERTAINLY saves his cheap ass the money spent on his own. Your buddy's a bonehead...lol Actually this is quite common. It is called Wardriving. What you do is drive around with a laptop that has a good wireless card and if you want to get real fancy GPS. You just drive around everywhere close and you can build a map of all the wireless connections and their details (encryption/speed/etc.) Once you know where they all are you can end up spending less on gas than you would on internet by planning it out right. If you are smart enough you can also use this information to build a suitable antenna to get access to it from your house. I used to be really into this. The most powerful antennae I ever built could pick up wifi in one specific direction for about 10 miles. You can build cheap ones out of pringles cans and stuff that go pretty damn far as well. To go this far you usually can't go very wide though, which is why you need to know where they are in advance so you can pick the best ones. Combine this with connection teaming in linux/multiple wireless cards and you can set yourself up with something even faster than a T3 line in your house for free. For awhile I was teaming 4X20mbit connections (common in my area) for 80mbit. I could have even done more (Technically up to 12 connections because of all my PCI/USB slots+ I could add more via PCI-E I bet, but a 12X20 for 240mbit connection would probably be enough lol assuming I could get a good signal on 12) People get way insane over this stuff, I have seen people paint their houses with a special paint so wifi won't go out or in the house. A friend of a friend was involved in shooting WiFi 125 miles at Defcon a few years back, and I believe I read someone shot it across the entire country or was at least attempting to. Keep in mind that using someone else's internet is HIGHLY ILLEGAL. If they catch you and report you it's almost as bad as reading someone else's mail if not just as bad. But it's pretty unlikely, who stares at their router logs all the time? The average user doesn't even know what a router log is. Just stay off networks owned by companies. Also leech at night so they don't call the ISP asking why their internet is slow.

Xbox 360 no questions asked. I used to own a PS3 and an Xbox 360, I liked the 360 by FAR. I don't own either now and I could care less about the PS3, I just want another 360. Why? -Better Graphics -Developers like it better, this matters A LOT as you can imagine -Along with the graphics the 360 versions are always better. PS3 versions are always the port. -Always gets the extra content in games (the PS3 gets nothing pretty much) -Better online Multiplayer -Better/more efficient dashboard, although if you are used to the old one the new one is going to get some getting used to. I guess it doesn't look as cool but it functions better. -Xbox Marketplace, It was once pretty shitty but it kicks ass now -Netflix, I pirate movies so I have no use for it, but if you want to pay for movies, Netflix is the way to go. It has HD movies as well. -All the good games on PS3 except for MGS4 are on Xbox 360, I played those PS3 exclusives like uncharted/killzone/resistance/etc. and let me tell you something straight up, They suck. People are just dying for reasons to say the PS3 is good. I hate to sound biased but I honestly was not impressed and those games definitely do not warrant the purchase of a PS3, Just like I would say Halo 3 and Gears of War do not warrant the purchase of a 360. (It's always the same damn games fanboys bring up and they all suck) -Better controllers because the battery is removable alone. If the battery dies on 360 you can swap it out, on PS3 your screwed and you must use a USB cable. Also once the battery in your PS3 controller wears out the whole controller is fucked. -You can mod it, A simple firmware mod allows you to steal all the games you want and last I heard play them online as well. -The noise issue is bullshit, Do people play with the consoles next to their heads or something? I never heard any noise out of my 360 OR PS3 while playing. Yes it makes noise but it's not as bad as people make it seem. If your couch is a reasonable distance from your TV/360 it won't bother you, and mine was pretty close. -Fits better in an entertainment center. I guess this isn't an issue anymore since I had the fat PS3 and your getting the slim which didn't exist at the time. The fat PS3 has a WEIRD shape and monopolizes a lot of space/you can't stack anything on top of it. -More/Better/Cheaper used games/accessories. Fact. I am one cheap ass motherfucker so when I owned these two consoles I was always looking for how to save money. Maybe it has slightly improved for the PS3 but I doubt it. Everything made by Sony is always more expensive for no reason, even accessories from other companies. I bet a Sony TV that wasn't even as good as that Panasonic you bought would be tons more money. My old roommate owned one of those Sony XBR HDTVs and he paid through the nose for it. Did it look better than the LG my parents paid much less for? Yeah, but not 500 dollars worth, and he paid 800+ less than retail because of my connections. (This was like 2 years ago) So he could have paid 1300+ dollars more for a TV that looks not all that much better. (Honestly the only thing that was better was the black levels, I liked the color on the LG better, and they where both professionally calibrated, the LG looked more true to life while the Sony looked more like a TV, although it wasn't a shitty TV by any means.) OH AND I FORGOT THE BEST PART!! His Sony was a 37 inch and my parents LG is a 42 inch! -More people seem to own the 360, Maybe this is specific to me, But a lot more of my friends own 360s, in fact the only friends I have that own a PS3 own a 360 as well. So if I wanted to play with people I actually knew the 360 would be a better choice. -Discs are more durable. Again, your a responsible adult so this is probably a non-issue, but blu-ray discs get ruined way easier than DVDs. Disc rot is pretty common in PS3 games as well from what I hear. It happened only once to me and my roommate but we traded it in while the game still barely worked before it got bad, I wish I could remember what game it was. It was some game only my roommate played. There isn't really anything you can do about disc rot. -Better support for AVI files/other video files burned to disc, many that would not play in the PS3 played in the 360, although there where some that neither could play. Seriously, Look at these games, None of these games are that good except MGS4, and the bottom line is for a gaming console it's all about the games. The way I see it the only thing PS3 has over the 360 is the web browser and linux support. (Blu-Ray is doomed, it won't last as long as DVD, Digital Distribution will take over, plus like I said I steal all my movies anyway/Netflix has some HD movies) If you have a computer both are useless. The linux support in the PS3 isn't that great though because certain parts of the console (like 3D acceleration) are locked out. I remember it was a pain to play a game once you had linux on it too, maybe this is different now though. You had to go through some annoying process to exit linux and launch the game if I remember right. Oh and I think you could transfer saves with a USB stick as well which was pretty cool. I don't think you could actually save and load off of it just transfer from USB stick to HDD or memory card. I might be confusing this with something I was doing for Linux though.

I heard the combat gets more complex when you get farther in the game, is this true? I was kind of let down by it's simplicity in the demo.

I found something for editing the priority but because of the way it works (it's actually two settings) I don't think I can get it to do what I want 100% of the time. Maybe I'll just set it to only show bookmarks, I clear my cache almost constantly so my history is useless.

So I've been playing Dragon Quest 8 pretty much every chance I can get. I already have around 20 hours put into my save. This game is so awesome. It reminds me of an old school RPG like Chrono Trigger. I'm pretty much already convinced that I'm going to play Rogue Galaxy next just because Level 5 was also involved, even if it ends up being completely different. I actually have some collectibles I won for the game when it came out. Some little slime keychains from Japan. (Might have even been from Lik-Sang lol but I forgot) WHY DID I IGNORE THIS GAME?! I want a DS even more now just so I can play the next one.

Your trying too hard and reading too into it. All that pickup artist shit is a scam, It works the same way Astrology does. They want you to keep paying to go to meetings/buying books/etc. Forget everything you know and just make lots of friends, eventually a friend may evolve into more than a friend. That's all I did, and it was all I was planning to do. Every single girl I have ever dated (and now the one I am going to marry) I pretty much met by accident. I put forth absolutely zero effort to attract any of them. In fact I made them go on for days/weeks hinting about how much they liked me and making it painfully obvious before I would even acknowledge it. I don't let them fuck around either and I let them know. I straight up told all my ex's if you play games or fuck around on me, There is no discussion, you are out, and I don't want to hear from you ever again. If you think I'm lying, try me. And I've done it before too. I put up with ZERO games, I HATE that shit. Even if its something minor it's not something I want to put up with/possible allow to escalate.

Neat, I always thought it would be cool to fly/work with planes and helicopters even though I don't know much about them. Good luck with the training, once its over its over though just keep reminding yourself. I heard it gets a lot better after basic because basic is designed to suck.

HAHAHA that exorcism shit is hilarious. Of all the paranormal stuff people believe in that has to be the easiest to fake, and it seems like one of the most fun as well. I liked the doll commercial too not only for it's weirdness but its cheesy directing.

Sounds cool, I will be trying out all these games for awhile I really have to figure out this PAL problem though because it seems to be way easier to find games in PAL for some reason (I noticed that too with the xbox but it doesn't matter as much because you can just launch it in NTSC no matter what game EXCEPT the warriors, damn damn damn) What about Maximo? It looks pretty interesting. I figured out how to get around annoying games that wont ESR patch on my own too for those that are wondering: Extract all files from the ISO/whatever it is to a folder on your HDD Open IMGBurn (free) and hit create ISO from files Make sure it is in ISO 9660 + UDF mode in options (I checked include hidden/system files as well but I don't know if you have to, it shouldn't hurt anything) Add the folders/files one by one, In that box is exactly what will show up in the root directory, for example you do NOT want to just add the folder that has everything in it Create the image, patch, and burn! I'm probably going to spend the next couple weeks collecting all the best games and maybe installing a HDD for them on my PS2 just like I was doing with the Xbox. I'm still only missing like 4 games for the xbox so next paycheck I'll probably get them off Amazon (used Xbox games are like 2 bucks there)
