  1. What are the weirdest arcade games you have ever played? I was playing this Japanese game called I'm Sorry that was pretty weird, Michael Jackson tries to kill you in it!
  2. Yes replacing the fan in the existing clip would probably be easiest if possible. You may be able to screw into those fins like I was talking about but it looks like it may not hold as tight. It does look like even though all those coolers are connected, they still have standard mounting holes, so you could remove it, but you would also need to pick up a MOSFET cooler and a SB cooler as well as the NB cooler if you where to do that. Pretty much any of these would work for either your NB or SB, just pick one that will fit, they have all the dimensions on there. Keep in mind that the SB needs significantly less cooling than the NB so this is probably way overkill for that (just get a regular cheap heatsink somewhere with no fan): http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/pro...set_cooler.html You would want one of these for the MOSFET, the HR-09 Type 4 is what would probably fit the best since it looks like the second row of MOSFETs has a separate cooler which you could just leave there: http://www.thermalright.com/new_a_page/pro...fet_cooler.html Now Thermalright is kind of like the best of the best, so you will definitely get very good performance with these parts but I'm sure you could go with another brand like Thermaltake or Coolermaster or something that would be a lot cheaper. Oh and don't forget thermal paste, I like MX-2. It seems like anything that is better is not better by much and needs to be ordered from a specific place making it a pain. MX-2 you can get nearly everywhere.
  3. It seems like too much until you have it, I started actually looking at some of the forums on certain torrent sites and the ones with 20 are way easier to keep track of. Even if the bottom few stay the same for awhile you can keep up with the whole forum on one page and avoid accidental topic resurrections.
  4. Yeah pc stuff can be expensive :/ at least once you buy it if you buy smart it will last you awhile. For your NB what mobo do you have? If i see some pictures I might be able to figure something out. If the NB has fins you can expose by unclipping the fan I have an idea! I made a build awhile back for a friend with a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L mobo in it. Here is a picture so maybe you can tell if it will work for you: Anyway that gold heatsink that says Gigabyte on it is obviously for the NB, I bought a small 40mm fan that was a scythe I believe and it was very quite (at least quiet enough to not hear it outside the case) and I was able to just stick it on top of the NB heatsink and just screw into the fins, In the pic you can see those two lines going down it where where is a small gap, that's where the screws went in. I have seen it done on mobos without the gap though and it just stretches the fins a little but doesn't ruin anything. If that doesn't work I would try and get the fan out of the clip if possible and if that still doesn't work you could always try one of these. I heard they work very well for various purposes like this and cooling video cards. http://www.virtual-hideout.net/reviews/Ant...ool/index.shtml Basically you plug it in and bend it to be on top of whatever you want to cool.
  5. I was just going to make a post about this, didn't we used to have one of those? I don't really care about the top poster thing either way I guess but we should have a last 10 or even 20. I know it sounds like a lot, but I vote top 20. (Just make the font/formatting small and it won't take up a ton of room) 10 is nice but it's not enough if you want to keep up with every forum on the board. Hey maybe you could even change it with an option.
  6. You can you just did it wrong You can get 120mm fans that are damn near silent nowadays. Also set up your fans to run at a low RPM at idle and ramp up with heat, then it will only be loud when your gaming or something and you probably have sound playing over it anyway. If your NB really needs a fan and your can't get a decent passive cooler (check out Thermalright) you could always add it to your loop. Are you only WCing the CPU? Aftermarket coolers for video cards are often very quiet as well because they usually involve strapping 120mm fans to them. You probably do not want to add the video cards to your loop because it would be very expensive and make your cooling much less effective. I have seen people set up two separate loops in their case but I've never tried this and it sounds even more expensive.
  7. haha yeah I saw that Michael Moore clip, I thought it was pretty funny how differently that rotten old bastard acts in front of him compared to the reporter in the other videos. So heard these guys or maybe it was some other motorcycle gang I dunno really hates these people and has pretty much ended their protesting. I think this probably happened awhile ago too, see I had just never heard of these people until now. Apparently they would all ride their motorcycles through their protest and mess all their stuff up until they had to leave every time and they just gave up.
  8. I'm trying to figure out Anno 1404. I built what I could of a city but for some reason I have no citizens. WTF do I have to do to get them!?
  9. I use photobucket, I don't know if its the best or whatever but its good enough. That is pretty stupid though, they didn't even give you a warning or anything.
  10. You should be praying it's not the fan on your CPU/GPU, because as soon as it dies its going to go kaboom, and your CPU/GPU is probably more expensive than a hard drive. Don't waste any time figuring out what fan it is or it could become very expensive very quickly. It might not be a dying fan but just one that just needs to be cleaned/lubricated as well. Either way if it isn't spinning right it isn't cooling right.
  11. Usenet destroys bittorrent in such an epic manner it's ridiculous. I still use bittorrent on occasion but not nearly as much as I used to and I was obsessed.
  12. What isn't true? Illegal Mexicans yeah maybe they wanted to beat him up so bad he couldn't report them. Most of the illegal mexicans I run into just try to stay way under the radar and avoid violence and stuff at all costs. One of them hit a friend of mine's car with a van and they just tried to GTFO. They where caught later though and probably deported. They didn't have insurance or anything obviously so my friend was pretty screwed.
  13. haha so I started watching this documentary, I'm only near the end of the second part but this stuff is hilarious. The way these people debate/respond to any type of question is priceless, they sound like little kids on the playground. It's so ridiculous its like it almost has to be some kind of pre-written prank or something. The absolute funniest part is that reporter though. Haha that poor poor guy, he's freaked out by the whole thing so badly and you can tell. The part where he says "I'm just going to stand over hear because I'm not really part of the uh picket yeah umm I'm just going to stand over here" made me rofl. He probably thinks he isn't going to make it out alive. EDIT: Just wanted to put that in bold, She just said "Not a chance poopy pants" she actually just said that. These people are pussies, they only protest in places where no one is going to do much about it. I dare them to come down to the south with that shit. As much as I make fun of rednecks, I would NOT be waving anything anti-american around them because they lose their temper over that shit FAST, and if this church thinks they have a big family....well....
  14. He does have some classics, even some machines I thought where really rare I remember playing in the arcade that I've never seen anywhere else. I thought it looked pretty awesome but then I saw War Gods.
  15. They have rednecks in CA? There are mass rednecks around here, you can take the highway into serious redneck territory, like you might get shot.
  16. Yeah and I see no reason why they couldn't have done it. It's not like they had an already well established 3D engine.
  17. Nice job, I would get killed because I can't run nearly long enough.
  18. I was talking to a friend of mine yesterday and he said he has actually heard a lot about these people. He told me it's not nearly as big of a movement as they would like you to think because most of the members are all from one huge family, he said its probably around 100 members and nearly all of them are from that family. So apparently they aren't convincing anyone.
  19. yes it's true, and here is a video of the video:
  20. Yeah well I'm surrounded by rednecks, I've been hearing explosions all week.
  21. Yeah that's what I'm saying, Here is a crappy paint example:
  22. Please no one make a religious debate about this, I'm just trying to answer his question. It's because the bible is deliberately written to be interpreted in many different ways. In fact you can't even really debate that part, the reason why it is written that way could be though so I'll stop now.
  23. Maybe they work like the Tent Caterpillars we used to have in Michigan: http://web.archive.org/web/20080214115936/...rna/normal.html As disgusting as that is, I've seen worse up there. If nothing is done about them they can destroy entire forests.
  24. To be fair normal Baptists don't want to have anything to do with these people. I read that they protest funerals of soldiers and car wrecks of college students, I guess with the funerals they are protesting the war, but WTF is there to protest about with a car accident?
  25. I can't think of a decent way to explain it but I'll try. Have you ever animated anything in Flash? When you do you make something called keyframes, You put main animation points in keyframes, and the program is able to fill in every motion in between no matter how many frames are in between them and make it smooth. +----------------+----------------+----------------+----------------+ Okay here is my crappy example, There is a lot missing here but it should explain the basic principle. Imagine the - means a regular frame, and a + means a keyframe. Keyframe 1 is the character standing there doing nothing. At keyframe 2 he raises his knee (you would draw it already raised), at keyframe 3 his foot is extended, at 4 he retracts foot, at 5 he retracts knee and is once again standing and doing nothing. All the dashes are generated by the program automatically. You can change the FPS at any time and it will generate more or less regular frames in between the keyframes while keeping it the same length. Higher FPS=smoother motion but bigger filesize, which is why most flash animations run at a very low FPS, to avoid having tons of regular frames. Anyway, I see no reason that the game cannot also do this, especially since it's 3D and the models and textures are already there, it just has to create animation movements.
