pop in is when your playing a game and say your walking foward, and suddenly buildings and things in the distance appear out of nowhere as if they are appearing as they are loading. Not to change the subject back or anything, but about that physics engine, it looks pretty amazing. Remember how terrible it was in saints row? As soon as someone died they instantly became a flimsy....thing. It was just goofy looking. I'm pretty happy it didn't end up like that.

I skimmed the pages after my post and had the following thoughts. The Wii has less games, but it also has a better good to crap game ratio, I'd rather have a few good games than lots of crappy ones. (and I don't care what kind of reviews any of these games are getting because game reviews suck ass now too, especially considering the general bias towards the Wii.) I'm on my 3rd Xbox 360, 1st one DVD drive died, second one red ringed. The one I have now is probably about to die because its making all these loud grinding and clanking noises. All my GTA IV playing is definitely going to kill it. Oh well, I NEED GTA IV. The rest of it I'm too tired to get into, I don't hate any of the three consoles, but they all have their problems. A lot of them. I continue to be an elitist PC bastard because of this /sarcasm. Most of these problems stem from the simple fact that game companies no longer care about games as much as they used to, they care more about money and are way greedier now. but really, the consoles can't touch the online multiplayer of PCs/mod scene at all. Thats where most of the fun is now. (because single player games are half-assed 90% of the time now which is pretty depressing considering thats all we had not too long ago) Not just the gameplay either, patches take FOREVER to come out for consoles, COD4 was patched like 16 times on PC before it was patched once on 360. Usually you have to put up with crappy games for a long time if your lucky enough to even get a patch at all. That and I hate flocking gamepads for FPSes SO badly. (although I admit they are almost required for certain other genres) So tired, I hope that made sense. My general thoughts of this generation so far are: The 360 is alright I guess, I don't see the need for a PS3 having a 360, I wish I had a Wii, and I still love my PC. I swear I don't usually think in rhyme.

Yeah you have to be real careful with voltages and temperatures but this overclocking stuff is real addictive. Free performance I didn't pay for! yay! 4.0 was getting a little too hot for my tastes and I don't have money for a better cooler right now (or a new CPU if I kill it), so I've been messing around with 3.6 and 3.4GHz Which is still awesome, the video card matters more for games anyway, and after 3.2 GHz its pretty much e-male organ points. But yes, Drinks, I'm currently in the mood for an irish car bomb.

WTF? What happened to the back to its roots/realistic/classic style MK they promised for "Next Gen" consoles? It's pretty damn hard for me to hate on MK since I grew up on it but this is pretty aggravating.

I don't own a cell phone for 2 reasons: No matter what company/plan you go with, you are getting raped in the ass for your money, take a networking class or something, it will blow your mind what they are getting away with and how much money they are making off all you tools. Like all the little bullshit scams they put in there like fees for things that don't cost them anything and requires no work on their part, or things designed just to suck more money out of you like contracts, cancellation fees, etc. They outright lie to your face a lot of times too, the FCC needs to do something but they are probably too busy getting paid off with all the money you are giving them. No matter what phone you buy it doesn't work. I have never in my life ever used a cell phone that worked the way it was supposed to all the time, and no one I know has ever owned one like this. They flock up constantly - all of them, no matter how much you spend on them. Probably because manufacturers cut corners constantly when they manufacture them to easily and cheaply mass produce them. A lot of them are even designed to break easily and be irreparable to scam you into buying a new one. They are even worse than the damn credit card companies >_< Maybe when WiMAX or something similar launches and WiMAX based phones come out for like 10 bucks a month for unlimited everything I'll use that (hell even if it was 20, and even 10 is a huge ripoff considering operating costs)

When lazy bloggers started saying it I'm pretty sure. This is making news everywhere, When did people suddenly start giving a crap about IGN again? They sold out YEARS ago.

Heres my feelings about it: The PS3 doesn't have better graphics than the 360, the 360 usually looks slightly better - SLIGHTLY Most of the exclusives for PS3 are garbage as far as I'm concerned (Except MGS4 of course) flock gran turismo. The only people who play GT are people who play Madden. They don't realize its not all that great and there are better options (although not really for football games anymore because madden is the ONLY football game, but flock football games.) The PS3 is a royal pain to program for, so it makes it harder on developers, speaking of which, when developers say they like Blu-Ray better because it isn't as space limiting, they are either talking out their asses or they where paid to say that. There is no reason whatsoever for a game not to fit on a DVD9. If it can't fit on a DVD9 it was either deliberately made like that to increase e-male organ/laziness/something extremely obvious was overlooked. Usually a combination of all 3. Uncompressed video files are completely unnecessary as an example, it just adds bloat. I forget where I read it but I read an interview with some developers who said this same thing somewhere. The PS3 has a lot of advantages developing right now from a business standpoint (Like Blu-ray winning the format war and people buying it as a Blu-ray player) but as far as gaming goes none of them really matter and I could care less, if they win this console war it isn't because they created a better gaming system for games, its because of things like this (so far). Multiplayer for PS3 still sucks horribly. 360's multiplayer only sucks really badly. No that is not a typo. Sorry if it sounds like I'm just trying to bash the PS3, I just don't see anything justifying its existence besides it being a cheap Blu-Ray player (which I don't need) and MGS4 (which in reality is probably all it needs, I can't wait) I only buy games for my 360 if its not coming out for PC though so I guess they are both failing to interest me very much. I need a damn Wii.

PC Updates: FINALLY got my motherboard back from Asus. Got it back and it still sucked, I don't know if they just sent it back or whatever, I definitely got a used one which is bullshit. The other thing that sucked about this RMA is that what was supposed to take 8-10 days took around 40. Conveniently my friends P5K fried on him around the same time so we are both pretty done with Asus right now. It seems like they have a few select boards that are phenomenal and the rest are pretty garbage once you notice the fine details after using them. He is waiting now on his RMA so he can sell whatever he gets back. So I ended up getting new board and its 100 times more stable and I can run my Q6600 at 4GHz stable now which is amazing. (also ended up trading my B3 for a new G0 - if anyones interested, 175 USD at Fry's see if its still on sale) Oh and I picked up an X-Fi Elite Pro sound card because onboard sound was getting pretty old. AND a new case huzzah! When those GeForce 9900s come out my PC is gonna be pretty damn awesome. My parents are still raging assholes and I still don't really talk to them. (and they still don't know, I don't think they ever will because I don't really plan on staying in contact with them once I'm gone, this is probably depressing sounding to you all but it doesn't bother me at all really, I don't feel like I'm missing something or anything) I honestly don't trust them to be around whats coming. I actually feel pretty happy and fulfilled right now, I haven't felt like that in YEARS. Everything seems to be working out. be careful modding 360s, my friend had an elite he got probably around when they first came out and it had the most pain in the ass possible DVD-ROM in it, he had to buy some chip thing and solder like 35 tiny ass wires that where all right next to each other after melting this crap off with a heat gun, he tried getting an adapter because its impossible for human hands but apparently the solder braid he had sucked because it didn't work at ALL and his 360 is dead now. Any other version of the 360 is like the easiest console to mod ever besides maybe the original xbox, just his luck haha.

It probably depends on the remote, I use the Streamzap remote, I got it for like 20 bucks and it works with everything, even when minimized to system tray, which is AWESOME because it sucks when you have to keep the player as the on top window.

I think they said it was supposed to be about 3/8ths the size of San Andreas, but San Andreas was flocking HUGE. So thats still a lot bigger than GTA 3 and Vice City. Heres hoping they bring back the machine guns/oil slicks/etc from GTA2. (They won't, but I can hope)

okay so my computer is being a bit more stable now. But the RAM still needs to be replaced, apparently newegg hasn't received the old set yet, stupid USPS, I shouldn't have been a cheapass and stuck with UPS. Got motherboard RMA today, going to ship it from work (there is a UPS store a couple doors down) hopefully there is a suitable box I can use at work because I don't have one, they don't want me to ship it in the original box, and UPS is probably going to rip me off on a box.

The death toll of innocent civilians alone is reaching 90,000 though. I really want to say this makes me not care at all about the near 4,000 americans, But I'm not a heartless bastard, and I feel pain for ALL wrongful deaths. ANY death caused by this war is indeed a wrongful death, I consider pretty much any death that wasn't from natural causes a wrongful death however because I find killing for any purpose wrong. I'm not saying I don't feel sorry for you, or that what has happened to you and your loved ones doesn't matter, I'm saying this needs to be put more into perspective, people over there are just as human as we are and have feelings just like we do. I forgot to mention, Yes your sound card can do 5.1, but it may not be the greatest sound quality, I would recommend getting a better sound card. X-Fis are pretty good, but they have their issues, and don't think they are the best, the price premium is really only for EAX support. Read some reviews on other less expensive cards before you disregard them because a lot of them are the same or better. M-Audio gets special mention here. Well if they are the only set of speakers in the room and you like to crank it then its not a bad idea. Or say you wanted to chop the speakers off the amp and wire something better, at least you have the power for something bigger.

This is exactly the problem that pisses off an audiophile like myself There used to be rules and regulations, which still MOSTLY apply to home audio, but not really. Everything you buy that has to do with audio these days has CONSTANT spec bullshitting all over it. You can't even really trust the real numbers below anymore because if a set of speakers has an efficiency rating of 98 on one certain exact frequency (900Hz for example), but something crappy like 83 on every other frequency, they are going to put 98 on the box. I'm going to try and explain the specs the average person would be interested in so you don't get ripped off and end up with something that sounds like crap. RMS Watts: This is the power the amp can deliver constantly Watts Max: This is your peak watts, it can hit this, but it can't keep it there, most ridiculous 2000 watt systems have also ridiculously high THD ratings so most of this power is pretty much lost and does nothing anyway. Watts In General: DO NOT MEAN SOUND QUALITY, Saying one system sounds better than another because it can pump out more watts is like saying my computer is faster than yours because it uses more watts. Another thing I thought I might add is that an amp that drives two channels at 100 watts RMS each, is NOT NOT NOT a 200 watt amp, it is a 100 watt amp. A lot of surround sound systems are listed as 2000 watts to write big numbers on things and they are adding the channels together like this. THD (Total Harmonic Distortion): This is the distortion the amp/speakers add to the signal, the lower the better, the smallest change in this rating can make a huge difference, one of my amps has a rating of 0.1 (crappy) another .01 (WAY better) and another 0.0001 (INSANELY better, but this is a dual power amp/preamp configuration so your not going to find this) dB rating/Efficiency Rating: This is how efficiently power is turned into signal, its basically how loud it gets, but has to do with how responsive it is to a signal too (your going to pick up subtle sounds better on a system with a higher rating) also keep in mind that every 3dB the efficiency DOUBLES, so 1dB of difference is a lot. Frequency Response: This is the range of sound the speakers can accurately produce, Perfect hearing is 20Hz to 20,000 kHz, the first area is how low (bass) it gets, the second is how high it gets. I hate to break it to you but you probably can't hear the full range anymore, especially the lower end. So don't go TOO crazy looking for a full range set. They are probably lying when they say a system is full range if it doesn't cost a lot of money anyway. They are probably saying it can accept a full range signal to again bullshit with specs. 2-Way/3-Way speaker systems: 2 Ways typically sound brighter and better at first, but after some time with them you will realize that they do things like when there is a bass thump, other sounds gets quieter. Always go for a 3 way system. Systems that are 4-way/5-way/etc are typically bullshit so stay away from those. So say the satellites have 2 speakers in them and you have a subwoofer, this is technically a 3-way if I can remember right. Basically what you should do is completely ignore the watts, that doesn't mean crap, its an excuse to put a big number on the product so people think its awesome/extreme. Look for the lowest THD rating, the highest dB rating, and the widest frequency response. Oh and if your primarily listening to music, Get a 2.0/2.1 system, Surround sound is complete bullshit for music, Its an effect added to sound, music is not recorded this way nor should it be. Surround sound is strictly for games and movies.

Wow thats actually pretty good. Although you would be pretty flocked if the meteor ended up not showing up if you failed or succeeded. I would probably eat a crap ton of LSD and have sex the entire time. I'd have my friend who works for Citi hook me up with a limitless credit card I obviously wouldn't have to ever pay back too. Which I'd probably use mostly to buy super fancy delicious food to be honest. Probably some badass entertainment center too to watch while I'm eating between sex sessions. Oh flock wait, I could Eat delicious food, Watch the badass entertainment system, and have sex AT THE SAME TIME FOR A WEEK STRAIGHT. See the problem with this is the whole 1 week thing, There are probably way more interesting things (yeah right) I could do but it would take more than 1 week to accomplish. Like say I wanted to go to some foreign country, I would probably really only get to spend like 2 days there so it wouldn't be worth it, unless I stole my own plane or something but I have no idea how to fly a plane, or the setup for some super cool stunt would take more than a week of planning/labor.

I don't do it for fun or anything, but I'm not going to be any more forgiving just because your a woman if you are starting crap. I never EVER start crap, I'm not like that, You have to piss me off to get me to do something like this. But my RAM is, so my computer is all unstable and randomly restarts and stuff, luckily I have a new set on the way. It took me like 6 reboots just to post this. My mobo may also be screwed up, but I doubt it, I'm RMAing it just in case though, I should be back on here every day within a week or so if everything goes as planned. Although RMA dates are never really concrete. As you can imagine I've had other expenses too. Certain people I know like to type my alias on google so please avoid blurting it out, because I haven't told these certain people. Everything is pretty much worked out though, I'm actually looking forward to it now. We get to suck money out of the government to pay for everything, hooray! I'm then going to thank them by eventually moving out of the country, and by eventually I mean immediately after college. My girlfriend and I think Scotland seems nice, although I'm trying to talk her into England (which isn't THAT far off anyway) or some crazy place like the middle east, but not one of the warzone parts hehe. Dunno why, I've always loved the culture in the middle east. India would be cool Since we are thinking of moving like this you can imagine how that part is working out.
