  1. I think that was the style of the game, you could argue the graphics in Rez suck, but they don't. anyway, i never liked: Tomb Raider Final Fantasy Any Sports games that aren't ridiculous (SSX Tricky was Awesome, Madden was not) Castlevania (SOTN is sweet, the rest are unnecessary because they are all the same thing) Fable World Of Warcraft Guild Wars Second Life Star Wars Games (Especially those crap RPGs) Donkey Kong (Its alright :/ ) The Sims Metroid (Except the SNES one) Rainbow Six games (some of them are cool, most suck) I could probably think of a bunch more, Alot of street fighter games are really overrated in my opinion. I mean they where cool for their time but I don't understand why someone would consider Street Fighter 2 their fighter of choice anymore when its so dated and has many far better sequels in every way possible.
  2. So I modded my friends XBox for him and put FCEUltraX on there, Everything on the xbox works fine as far as high definition goes except FCEUltraX. When the HD Cables are plugged in, and 480P, 720P, and 1080i are all enabled, it for some reason I'm guessing defaults to 480P, and shows a scrambled image. If i go into the options and disable 480P, It starts up in 480i and works fine. If i switch it to 1080i, It also works fine. But then when I go to switch it to 720P, i get a scrambled image. Is this some bug in the emulator?
  3. Yeah but the aiming in CS and CS:S is terrible if your looking for realistic. Especially 1.6 I've shot real guns like those before, and guns simply don't shoot that way in real life. Which makes it really frustrating to play, If we used guns that inaccurate and sensitive to movement we would all be screwed in any kind of firefight. Most of it is the characters fault, Supposedly you are some kind of spec ops with training for all these guns yet he can't hold/shoot it right without all this ridiculous recoil? Thats crap. Awesome games anyway though. Realistic doesn't always=good.
  4. yeah well its a demo :/ A fantastic demo though, I played those 2 levels over and over again, I'm running it maxed out at 1280X960 (Haven't bothered to go higher) It looks amazing! I have Vsync on so its capping at 85FPS.
  5. Yeah really, Those games are alright, but i could sit down and have just as much fun with one thats 3 years old as opposed to the newest one. Which isn't really a lot to begin with hah. When me and my friend picked up a used xbox for me to mod for him i went to delete all the saves off of it and it took like 10 minutes because they seriously owned every single EA sports game ever released for the xbox, the entire time i was deleting them i was like are you flocking kidding me? They bought every flocking one? and then there was some "Eminen" on there under soundtracks.
  6. Unreal is so good that it managed to pull me away from Quake Do you have any idea how much Quake i played back in the day? It was like I never stopped. These system requirements are pretty reasonable though, The Crysis requirements are pretty unfair in comparison. To run an unreal game efficiently though you really have to blow away the recommended specs. Because its such a fast paced game you pretty much NEED at least 60+ FPS.
  7. Please tell me they fixed whatever was going on with Dual-Core processors in Episode 1, and it Isn't like that in episode 2. Theres some stupid bug in it thats been there for awhile, it has something to do with dual-core processors or DDR2 RAM at certain speeds (Its some really specific detail that effects a good portion of people, but apparently not enough for them to fix it unless they just did) that makes episode 1 unplayable, it runs like crap and crashes all the damn time. Anyway i spent the entire morning today playing TF2, its fantastic, I can't wait to go home and play portal (is it multiplayer?) and the other games that came with it, hopefully i can finally finish episode 1 and then play 2. There is no way you can't buy the orange box, all these games are instant classics and its such a bargain. My friend refuses to buy it for some faggot reason and I think im going to have to kick his ass. He doesn't know anything about them and he insists they are going to suck. http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/...?q=orange%20box Damn look how much they suck
  8. Wow what are the chances of that, unless you told them about the site and they joined so you knew them before. I live around Cincinnati, Cincinnati is a boring city, its basically a place people go for work and then leave :/ Oh and my birthday is the 18th
  9. yeah it is, you have to build this weird custom cover for the drive out of the one thats already on it, it seems like too much work to be worth it. I think it only works on older models too, But i know ive read about it somewhere. personally I would just pick up some swap discs, they are pretty cheap now, and should be good enough for playing all your backups, emulation on the PS2 is meh, especially when you have a modded xbox sitting right next to it. either that or pick up HDAdvance or whatever the latest version is called and put a hard drive in there.
  10. me either, but to be honest i haven't really given any of his albums a complete listen through, theres a couple songs that i have heard that i really liked, and some that where really dumb. I think i'll get this one and listen to it, maybe download the other ones too. I've been looking for something new to listen to.
  11. ha! those are the ones I couldn't remember. I second all those, very good, although i haven't seen Azumi 2, only the first one.
  12. So it has Mario, Sonic, AND Snake. Imagine the flaming you would get for even bringing that up as a possible idea not too long ago
  13. yeah there is a program that makes joystick buttons into keyboard presses. I forget what its called though. IJTF is right, there are some things that dont make sense about it, but same for the X-Arcade, i mean it should be alot cheaper :/ they should sell a DIY kit or something I think i might pick this up over the X-Arcade though, 9tendo brought up alot of points that answered a few questions i was kinda wondering about, What do you use for the insert coin key? I was going to configure them as the pinball buttons on the side, but is there some special button for that somewhere?
  14. nice review I'm going to have to disagree with you on the part about the methods of input. In this day an age, the reality is that it doesn't matter at all, every program is compatible with either method but TECHNICALLY the keyboard method is better, simply because it will allow you to use the controller with any application/old games that don't support controller inputs. You probably remember back in the Windows 95 days when you went to play a game and you had to check to see if it supported joysticks. Same thing. But again, all a moot point being that emulators support either way. Still on the fence over this or the x-arcade, i like the build quality and the look of the Quasi much better, But i was thinking more the 2 player x-arcade stick, I wish Quasi made a more basic arcade stick without the analogs and all that other stuff.
  15. There is no 8800GT, Im guessing you meant 8800GTX Microsoft/Nvidia/whoever you want to blame for this is flocking everyone who already adopted DirectX 10 (Oh man I KNEW it was going to be another GeForce 6 - Did I not say that!?) and all current GeForce 8 cards won't be able to support some of the features in DirectX 10.1 when it comes out. I say either buy something real cheap like an X1950XT thats DirectX 9 (or find two real cheap cards you can run in SLI), or wait it out till GeForce 9 is out. Personally i have an ATi Radeon X1950PRO 512MB, and im planning on using it for a long ass time and i know ill be fine. When i can afford two medium/medium-high range GeForce 9s to run in SLI then ill upgrade, but that wont be for awhile.
  16. Last time i tried it it friend my motherboard, so i wouldn't chances are it was a defective one and the beta bios probably had alot to do with it too but still. they are discontinuing the 320MB version of the 8800GTS, so either act fast, or wait till all the enthusiasts who insist on having the latest sell them on ebay and such for real cheap. Otherwise your stuck buying the 640MB version which is significantly more money - but will probably also drop in price with the GeForce 9s coming out soon (although probably not as soon as the 320MB GTSs are being discontinued so its your call)
  17. I wouldn't say NIN is a screaming band :/ definitely a little weird and i can't figure out why i listen to them but they don't really scream.
  18. I steal everything unless i know its guaranteed awesomeness, or I want it for the multiplayer. UT3, definite buy Assasins Creed, Definite steal. I love when the pirated PC games work online, although im always super paranoid about trying it in case its heavily logged and monitored or something (which i know is unrealistic)
  19. oh okay. I didn't think we where trying to attract users through YouTube, I thought people on the site trying to view the video from here (embedded somewhere) was the point of the video. Either way though, people DO go to other sites besides YouTube for videos :/ (people are going to THAT site to watch TV shows and Movies for example) Put the videos back on YouTube, thats crap, look at all the videos of Modified Xboxs. None of them are being taken down and alot of them show people playing pirated games. The crappy part of it is though, is that they are responsible for all of their content, not us, the uploaders, so they can delete whatever they want for no reason and there isn't much you can do about it but point out why they are wrong and hope they agree with you.
  20. that is one cool lookin' light gun I wonder if there is a way to tear one of those HOTD shotguns off the arcade cabinet (I mean buy one not literally rip one off a machine somewhere) and wire it to be used on the xbox
  21. If your talking about 3D graphics Maya and 3DS Studio Max are good, theres a few others too, but this is something that is alot of work, its extremely hard.
  22. I only read the first page, but i can tell you for sure your not going to be able to run much of anything game wise with that graphics card The rest of your system is pretty decent, in fact its pretty confusing that they paired that video card with your otherwise pretty kickass PC. Lost Planet brings PCs to their knees, you need an expensive ass card to play that, If i where you i would check out maybe an ATi Radeon X1950XT, i think they are like 200 bucks now, should be less. If you want to go nVidia, go with the 7800 or higher, try to stay in the 200-300 dollar price range and it should last you awhile and do everything you want it too. Okay i just read your last comment, and im also going to tell you to not overclock, You really have to know what your doing when it comes to that, and its pretty hard for someone to walk you through it because of how differently everyones motherboard works. Your probably going to end up frying something. By the looks of it an overclock wont help much anyway, You can try overclocking your video card, but i still dont see it getting you to be able to run Lost Planet.
