yeah thats what i would do, but if you ever need to edit anything your going to need the codec, so i took the safe route and got codecs and VLC (the thing plays damn near everything, including certain currupt files) Oh and by the way to save system resources and prevent this from happening download XP-AntiSpy, and one of the tweaks in there will disable AVI previewing so it doesnt have to get those stupid first frame thumbnails (which are always black anyway lol)

Those are some good rules to follow, and i think your right, thats about the stage im in i guess. And alcohol is a depressent, its classified as one. Being a depressent doesn't necessarily mean its going to put you in a bad mood. I'm not too sure how to explain it but im sure theres an excessively long wiki about it or something.

Well i think it was, Marathon was basically the Mac's competition to Doom, and Doom is phenomenal - Marathon was boring. Even if it was a PC only title i would still hate it, it just never seemed like that special of a game to me, in fact if it was a PC only title i would probably hate it even more just because it would lose whatever special value it gains from being harder to play in terms of finding a mac which not as many people own. and calling it the precurser to halo doesnt make it any better, Halo is still just above average, so you have a just above average precurser to a just above average game. Big deal. I DO think Bungie is vastly improving with every game they put out however with the exception of that joke of a game Halo 2 (which admittantly was ruined more by the community than them, but there where some pretty serious balance issues they could have done something about) So i'm really interested to see what they do next now that they pretty much have the freedom to do whatever they want. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and guess their next game/series if they make it wont won't be a FPS though. It would be cool if they made an RPG that could break the mold and appeal to everyone like halo did.

Oh shiat! I'm UT3 ready! This is what computers should have been coming with stickers for, not Vista. I've pretty much built my computer around the release of this game (and Crysis). -2.4GHz Intel Core 2 Quad (Q6600, although im gonna see how much of an overclock i can get, 3GHz is supposed to be easy) -2GB PC2-9600 -ATi Radeon X1950PRO 512MB (I'll pick up a GTX eventually, and even later on a second one) I question if my video card will run this at 1600X1200 but I think im gonna be set!

oh my god No offense, But im tired of hearing about Marathon. Marathon sucks, and it always did suck. The only reason why it was considered so good was it was one of the only games ON the Mac, Period. Which you could still argue is the case, but not so much. Being the best of like 3 FPSs does not make the game automatically legendary. You can argue against this all you want, flock Marathon.

I used to drink every day of every weekend almost a few years ago, but it just got boring to me. I'll drink very rarely now on the weekends, but I can't bring myself to get totally smashed like I used to, ill have like 3-4 beers tops, usually only 1 or 2. It's true though, everyone wants to drink all the time, I don't really understand how its still any fun after doing it so much, but meh whatever its their choice I guess.

while this topic is being brought back from the dead--- Today I went to the mall and they have this new store called GameSwap. I guess they are trying to compete with Gamestop/EB But this place is like 100 times more awesome (Yes, More Awesome!) They stock NES, SNES, Genesis, Even Megadrive, TurboGrafx-16, and they had Atari Jaguar! I'll definitely be wasting tons of money in there on old games. Oh and the fact that they where totally cool with me buying an Xbox just to mod earns them bonus points, he even gave me some pointers, I went to two gamestops - Listen to this bullshit (Rant Warning) First gamestop my friend went to yesterday to get an Xbox, I told him how to check for the Samsung drive, he apparently forgot, He looked at 14 Xboxs after arguing with them to get them to even bring them to the front thinking he would suddenly see something obvious Today we go back, and they claim somehow they only have 4 left (They sold 10 used Xboxs last night?) yeah right, lazy bastards, even if he did kind of deserve it. Is it the NeoGeo BIOS file? But its hard to say anything without knowing which 4 files. Not to change the subject but would you be better off using FBA-XXX PRO or just switching to MAMEoX and FTPing the entire MAME set? I don't really understand the advantage of FBA

So I need help with some of the controls in FBA-XXX Pro. I remember I had this problem on my PC and i just had to switch from using 8-way D-Pad mode to 4-Way D-pad mode, or the other way around i dont remember. Anyway I think it has something to do with the XBox D-pad being 8 way and the NeoGeo being 4, or the other way around, just like the thing with my PC. When i go to play KOF for example, I can't really jump diagonally, its really difficult its like i can really only press up, right, down, left, and nothing in between. Is there a way to fix this? Its not very fluid at all playing like this and makes the game twice as hard. The other problem, is games like KOF2004 that boot directly into test mode, and I cant get them out of it, How the hell? I remember i had some game like this in MAME and all i had to do was push the Test button or something like that, maybe called config button (Theres both isn't there? Or two buttons similar to that anyway) But there doesn't seem to be a way to map dip switches/any of these buttons to the controller (although it looks like they are Black/White on the controller in one menu, forgot where i found that, but pushing them doesnt do anything) So im forever stuck in test mode! Am i just screwed for that rom and i'll have to play the bootleg version or what!?

I think that particular box just has a pass through port so you dont have to unplug your computer/the box when you want to switch between the two. Unless your plugging something PS2 generation or newer into the monitor, id just use an emulator and a controller adapter. There are VGA Boxes which scale it and everything for you, but they where damn expensive last time i was looking for one. Especially if you wanted one that went from component to VGA as opposed to RCA/SVideo to VGA which would look alot better.
