only took years of wanting to but being too lazy I'm running UnleashX and trying to get all my stuff onto it right now. I got my Genesis emu working fine, my SNES emu seems to be working fine but all my roms got screwed up somehow so im slowly downloading them all again over bittorrent (should be done in about 3 weeks) as well as my NES ROMs (damnit), and FBA-XXX doesnt like any of my Neo Geo roms (damnit again) so i have to get all those all over again too (although those came from weird places anyway, I havent done anything arcade related since mame.dk because i never really got around to finding a replacement resource of decent quality) I also got XBMC working, man that thing is fantastic, its like my DVD player but faster and linked to the intarweb. The only thing i can't really figure out is how to get my emus to appear under the emulators menu, should I just make a folder called Emulators and put them in there? Any recommended downloads/apps/games/etc? I'm going to be glued to this thing for months - and i thought PSP modding was fun when i finally tried it Oh and if i upgrade the HDD, Can i just FTP everything from my HDD now onto my PC, then onto the new HDD and use some app to lock it if i even have to and thats it? I skimmed a couple tutorials real fast and some of them made it seem real easy while some made it seem impossible.

yeah and the weird thing is am POSITIVE ive seen one of these before, its definitely NOT the only one in existence if you don't believe me, look at it from a logical point of view, Why would they spend the money and time to only make ONE prototype? They ALWAYS make more than one prototype of whatever anyone is ever making ever. In theory (My Theory, which is always right) I believe that this was going to be made to compete with the N64DD, Another product which never came out, Although with the N64 Disk Drive it used some proprietary disk thing and N64 memory cards could plug into the disks, which im not sure what the purpose was for that, but i've even seen weird CD-ROM add ons for N64 that never where used for anything. Which sucks and still bothers me to this day that i can't plug anything into that port on the bottom of my N64 (Most people dont even know its there, turn your N64 over and look) There was also going to be a DVD drive for Dreamcast

yeah i never liked games by FASA. My friend was really into those mechwarrior type games and i remember him bitching about the games sucking when FASA took over or something like that.

Ok so i only read the first post and skipped to the reply box, but ive read this news article and theres something that confuses me This has been able to be done for YEARS, Why has it taken so long? All you have to do is burn a CD-R with the correct files, boot the CD-R on either someone else's PS2 with a mod-chip, or do the swap trick or use boot discs, it loads an exploit onto your memory card, and your done. Then all you do is put the memory card in any PS2 with or without modification and it will load the exploit and you can play burns and even play games off the HDD! So WTF they are just selling pre-loaded exploit cards? The only cache to the way i do it is you have to custom built your exploit card to a certain game, so you need the game you originally used as well as the memory card. Is this one like that too? If i remember right it was called an ELF loader, and you would load the Exploit Elf, the HDLoader Elf, and the ELF loader itself, and that was it after some annoying process on the computer of building the CD-R image. EDIT: okay i went through a couple posts and if you have to patch every game to work with this "Card Modchip" that would make sense and i beleive its the same exact exploit im talking about, because the ELF loader depends on the SLUS of the disc in order to load, and thats why you need it. But then again im not sure if it would load using a burned copy of the disc you used to make the exploit, i think you need the original. But i really have to get to class now heh.

the first computer i ever owned was a Dell, i think a Dimension (and was even called the XPS if i remember right! I think it was something like Dimension XPS166S) 166MHz Pentium 32MB RAM 33.6k Modem 5GB HDD (I think, Dell did some weird partitioning thing with the hard drive where one was around 3GB and one was around 2GB but both of them came empty minus windows) Matrox something video card We kept that computer for an insanely long time, it was rediculous how outdated it became and we still had it, probably close to 10 years before upgrading to a Gateway 2.2GHz Celeron, crap built in video card and 256MB of RAM with a 40GB HDD but the computer im using now is awesome (I finally grew an e-male organ): Core 2 Duo e6850 3.0GHz @ 3.6GHz 2GB PC2-8500 Crucial Ballistix Tracer @ 1244MHz 5-5-5-15 ATi Radeon X1950PRO 512MB ASUS P5N32-E SLI Mobo Probably the only "real" computer ive ever owned minus the dell back in its day, when we upgraded to 56K and played Mechwarrior 2 on it everyone on the block was like ZOMG!!!

hah so anyway what ended up happening was she said no raise, i said i was going to leave, i then ended up getting the raise AND another one. i win.

if you where talking about my hard drive its sitting on a shelf with half the casing missing and bullet holes in it it would have been too boring to just throw it out

i heard that these games arent that bad though, someone supposedly played through half of far cry without seeing a single ad too bad i already own all the games worth bothering with on that list

yeah i think your right, i had to face some initial shock of omg im not going to have this job anymore, but now i feel like i was just being a whiny biatch about it. old job goes, i dont have to put up with bullshit so someone else can make more money than me, when i go into work today if i dont receive a raise (im supposed to get one soon, and ill ask my boss what kind of raise it will be/if any) and if i dont like the answer ill say okay im putting my 2 weeks in now. Maybe she will change her mind, if not, shes a dumbass and just lost one of her best employees.

i would just backup everything i could onto DVD-Rs or something and format clean. but thats because im lazy. I had a hard drive that randomly started corrupting everything awhile back and WOW did my windows installation get flocked up. especially after i tried to do a defrag not knowing it was doing this. It sounds almost like your problem, windows was so flocked up i should have taken some screen shots of what it was doing but i probably wouldn't have been able to do anything with them or save them.

although ive heard pretty good things about the Ultra brand, i still dont really trust them Cooler Master is a good choice, its a good No-BS Brand, They give you everything you need without any extra crap. Very reliable too. The only thing that could made that model better is if it where modular, but if your good at stuffing cables away it doesn't really matter. Oh and Newegg is selling it for only 85 Bucks after mail in rebate. Instant-Win! So i'm thinking about quitting my job. But I can't decide if i really want to or not. Heres the deal, with my current Job, i have worked there for a little over a year now. It used to be an awesome job, i used to actually look foward to going to work, but thats not the case anymore, I understand your job is pretty much supposed to suck, and im not really expecting any better at my next job, but I think it might be getting ridiculous. At my current job, only me and 2 other people from the original crew are left (the store opened last year, august 28th) and all the cool people i met there/that used to work there aren't there anymore, Theres only a few people left that i'm good friends with but it only takes a few i guess. some of them are some of the new people too. But its like everyone is quitting and being replaced by these people that i can't stand. The wrong people are going to be chosen to be promoted soon, and i kinda get stepped on by the owner, i deserved to have a promotion a long ass time ago, and i don't make very much money there either, its becoming really hard to afford things nowadays. That, and the owner is a flocking count. NO ONE is as bad as her, I could easily go on for pages about how much of a biatch she is, and how much of a pain in the ass, but im kind of on her good side so i don't have to deal with it THAT often, and the other 3 bosses i have are pretty cool, but one of them is slowly becoming equally bitchy. On the other hand, i feel really bad about leaving some of these people, (and leaving them to deal with the owner, i stand up for people alot) the job isnt that bad and i get decent hours, but my pay rate IS pretty crappy. I feel like a dark leaving these people for a bigger paycheck (I have another guaranteed job because i know the owner there) but maybe im putting other people before me too much and i should worry more about myself. either way im going to really miss working there and seeing these people almost every day. It basically boils down to a decision between some really strong bonds between me and some of my co-workers or more money for me which would make my life alot easier. At the other job i would take if i quit here, my best friend works there and a few of my other good friends, and the only person i would have an issue with just conveniently quit, so its not like i would be alone, but i dunno, Even though i hate where i work with a passion at the same time its really important to me and its where i've been for the last year. I know a few of these people ill probably never see again. Not to mention im already really good at my job there, where at the other job i would have to learn everything all over again. I've never been at one job for this long before, not because i keep getting fired but because before i would only work when i really needed money for a few months, and id let them know that in advance too. I really dont want to end up like some people who stay at the same crappy job for 5 years plus for no real reason. Neither one of these jobs is a permanent position, far from it, as soon as i get out of college it's time for a "real" job so maybe it doesn't matter? But im aiming real high in college and wont be out for another couple years, i'm a smart person and i know i have a shot at something big. I'm probably making a big deal out of this when i shouldn't but i have alot of stress to deal with in my life right now and every little thing is driving me crazy, i dont want any extra.

Okay heres a hard one, No one i have ever talked to in my entire life (except the person who told it to me and tried to explain it) has ever been able to answer this question with an answer that was even anywhere near correct. I picked up the game today, and was surprised by the collectors edition, i didnt even know it came with that big daddy figurine, I'm considering sticking it to the dashboard of my car. too bad i cant play it until my 360 comes back from repair >_< good thing about that news i posted, its going to be annoying to start over on the 360 though.

Dont get the core, get either the premium or the elite. and yeah you can put any harddrive in any model and it will work. I wouldnt worry about it breaking either, i got my 360 around when it came out and it just broke recently, Which is awesome because everyone got a free warranty extension for 3 years, so if it does break, its a free repair and they upgrade your cooling system. As long as you don't shove the console/power brick in the corner and you get it get proper air it will be fine. I refuse to believe that people have gone through 9 consoles and it somehow wasn't their fault. Not even because i like the xbox 360 but because its so statistically unlikely.
