Dreamcast Help!
Shibathedog replied to 69ers's topic in DreamCast & Saturn Emulators [/pc/dc+saturn]
Use Alcohol 120% to burn it Lowest Burn Speed Burn on RAW/DAO mode Try in Dreamcast, if it still doesnt work hunt down at least a couple boot discs and try booting it with those, If it STILL doesnt work, you probably got a garbage image file. -
Here's why we shouldn't use PSP Custom Firmwares

if your asking how to join a server by IP go into your options, and look for an advanced button (i think its under keyboard or controls or something like that) and check the box that says Enable Developer Console. Now press the ` key (to the left of 1) and type "Connect XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX" without quotes and the Xs being the IP address obviously If your asking how to join servers normally you click "Find Servers" on the main menu, its the first option. and this thread should have been posted in Online Gaming or something

yeah If you talking about EPP Profiles and SLI Certified parts for the auto overclocking, Yeah you can use it, its okay and its safe, but alot of people dont like it because you can overclock ALOT more IF you know what your doing and you do it manually. There isnt really any harm in using it though. In fact you should because it will set all your BIOS settings correctly for it (assuming all your parts are certified and support it) Overclocking isnt really the dangerous part, its overvolting, but still, if you dont know exactly what something does just leave it on auto/dont touch it

DVDFab Decrypter is good for ripping them. and no all you need is a DVD-ROM (or better) drive to rip DVDs, You do need a DVD+/-RW drive to burn DVDs though.

flock the US governement, flock you for promising us freedom and not giving it to us you greedy pieces of crap, i hope someone from the government reads this, and i hope they go choke on a dick. Dirty snake in the grass bastards, eat crap and die. I can't wait to leave this country and ill never fight for your military. free country my ass Hey i shaved my flocking pubes last night am i going to get arrested for "customizing" my junk? -
If you want Dual graphics cards, Get the 680i Chipset by Nvidia, If you only want one (or maybe want two, but not two really fast ones like 8800GTXs) get the 650i Chipset by Nvidia. They overclock excellently but im going to advise you against it since you really have to know what your doing or you'll break something. Intel Chipsets are okay too but make sure you get either the 975 or the 965 chipset. These also overclock pretty well depending on the board, but dont usually have the best support for dual graphics cards Dont spend extra money on stuff you dont need/will never use though. Your not losing out by getting one of those intel chipsets.

oh awesome So what do we have to do for them? -
the 9800XT was considered decent for an amazingly long time for anything in the PC world Personally im getting into NVidia because yeah they are winning right now and SLI is easy as pie. ATi's Crossfire is garbage, Sure its 100 times better on paper but it cant really touch SLI right now. Nvidia is becoming more popular meaning more support/compatibility. Oh and 680i rocks, unless Intel's X38 (Is that the name?) is some kind of amazing magic trick (like Core 2) id take a 680i board over P35 anyday. DDR3 just isnt worth it yet. (and by the time it is Nvidia will have 750i/780i)

PSP Custom Firmware 3.52 M33-2 Update Released
Shibathedog replied to BlackKnight's topic in Hacking and Homebrew News [/hax]
so its still buggy? What are the advantages over 3.40 OE-A besides UMDs that require it? I really dont want to have to do all my custom skinning all over again if i dont have to :/ -
[7/15/07] Resident Evil: Dead Aim
Shibathedog replied to BlackKnight's topic in 1Emulation.com Reviews [/reviews]
wait didnt this game come out a REALLY long time ago? -
I used to swear by ATi but NVidia has been impressing me more lately Right now im using an ATi Radeon X1950PRO 512MB, My next card(s) will be 8800GTXs or the equivilent whenever i upgrade, I want one of those new 1333MHz FSB Core 2 Duos first (im getting that top of the line Dual Core one, the 3GHz one, i forget what the number is, for around 350 bucks you cant go wrong it rocks the crap out of everything) Anyway, I would say its still safe to stick with DX9, DX10 is FAR from being the standard, and by the time DX10 is the standard all the DX10 cards out now are going to suck. In short buy a high end DX9 instead of a low end DX10. Even my card outperforms the 8600GT (and really i should have gotten an X1950XT)

Finally on the new motherboard!
Shibathedog replied to Shibathedog's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
well with aftermarket cooling its extremley easy to overclock to 3.4, 3.6, even 4GHz and not even spend that much money on cooling stuff, ive seen it done on air cooling im probably going to aim for 3.2, MAYBE 3.4Ghz when i buy a cooler, which is good since stock its 2.13GHz (although i might get a free e6600 soon) -
haha did anyone else notice the extra subtitles at the beginning that weren't read aloud?
-
im still trying to beat the first one >_< although to be honest i dont get to play it that often. Its a huge ass game though.

Finally on the new motherboard!
Shibathedog replied to Shibathedog's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
sweet everything is working fine now, passed some brief stability tests, ill do some more later cant get the CPU over 61C under load (60 is supposed to be the limit ive heard) i'll try to reapply the HSF to see if it helps, if so ill be running 1:1 untill i get some RAM and a new HSF 2.664Ghz DDR2-667 @ 3-3-3-4 pretty nice, lowest FPS in CSS @ 1600X1200 with maxed out detail AA and AF was around 150 and it flys all over the place into the high 300s (id say its staying around 250 though) -
Finally on the new motherboard!
Shibathedog replied to Shibathedog's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
Well this board seems to be pretty easy to overclock right now im at 2.66GHz and running 1:1 ;D Im not too sure if im brave enough to overclock any more than this though with stock cooling, maybe ill pick up a CPU fan when i get that RAM and possibly some chipset fans (the north/sound bridge run hot as hell on this board) Edit: Holy crap my HSF is garbage, i just hit 71 on idle, flock this lol im gonna wait untill i get something better Edit Again: nvm its raising VCores automatically thats the problem -
So my replacement Asus P5N32-E SLI came today, I had a bit of an episode where i thought i broke it and got really pissed off and started yelling and breaking other things (seriously...i havent gotten that mad in a lonnnng time) But everything is working perfectly now I just had to take the battery out to reset it after i upgraded the BIOS because i guess the configuration didnt work and didnt clear right. It turns out what happened before was i upgraded to a beta BIOS not realizing it was a beta, and there are warnings all over the internet about how buggy it was, which i should have researched, but probably wouldnt have anyway because i didnt realize it was a beta in the first place so system specs are: Intel Core 2 Duo e6400 (going to try to overclock to 3.2GHz or so in a minute) 1GB PNY Gamer DDR2-667 (3-3-3-6 @ 2.2v) Sapphire ATi/AMD Radeon X1950PRO 512MB ASUS P5N32-E SLI 1x WD SATA 320GB w/16MB Cache 16x Firmware modded NEC DL DVD+-RW i get my paycheck today and im going to see about getting some RAM Ive been wanting 2GB of DDR2-1066 Crucial Ballistix Tracer but who knows. Im stuck deciding between getting that RAM (which can supposedly run at DDR2-800 3-3-3-8 @2.2v and DDR2-1066 4-4-4-12 @2.2v which is nice) or something cheaper thats designed to run at DDR2-800 and possibly lower timings or something close. I cant decide between the lower timings or the higher frequency :/ i'll possibly be selling the RAM i have now, but im telling you now its pretty much stuck at that rate, it doesnt overclock at all, or at least in my old mobo it didnt (which wasnt a great ocer anyway) i wouldnt buy it expecting it to run at anything else.

whats going to happen eventually? Well if the US keeps flocking up and pissing everybody else off at the rate and severity that it is now, eventually every other country in the world is just going to get fed up with it and cut us off and we are going to be screwed. everyday i turn on the news its like Oh! Look what offensive horrendous thing we did to piss off THIS group of people!

the way i would do it is just copy the install folder (burn it to a DVD or something so you have it whenever you need it and its a fairly quick way of transferring it) and then copy every registry file even somehow related to UT2k4 and burn that to the DVD too under a separate folder Then you could just copy the folder (you would probably have to put it in the same directory as the other PC, even the drive letters might have to be the same) and double click all the registry entries to add them to the other PC.
