your going to use TV out for PSP emulation? First of all PSP emulation kinda sucks, sorry, but its just not that good, second its awkward to play anything on a PSP, the controls are weird feeling. Just hook your PC up or use an xbox/dreamcast/whatever

The Room was an awesome idea, i like that one and three the best, although you kinda have to play 2 to understand it. Which sucks because its kinda buggy (could have been the disc i was playing though)

So whats the deal with XBox 360 modchips, what exactly do they do? My understanding is that they allow you to hold two firmwares for the drive, so you can switch between the modded firmware and the factory firmware. BTW i like your avatar olaf

the whole concept of HDTV just doesnt excite me very much, we are so far away from images on a screen looking true to life that its stupid to spend tons of money on it right now. If i where to buy an HDTV, i would buy a widescreen LCD, No tuner, No speakers, no 1080p (But 720p and 1080i) and no extra bells an whisles, you get some of the coolness of HDTV without the ridiculousness. Plus i have a digital cable box as a tuner and my speakers kick the crap out of anything built into a TV EDIT: And this is what i mean by consoles are a waste of time, people say console gaming is less expensive than PC gaming, and while this used to be true, its just wrong now. You have to pay thousands of dollars for the full console experience lets break it down with some estimates Console, 400-600 Games, 60 each TV, lets say 4000, most of the people i know who have them spent around this much, although its possible to spend alot more and alot less Console accessories Online Surround Sound System Its like almost 6000-7000 bucks, even if you get a cheaper TV its still gonna be like 4000? You can easily get surround sound and everything on a PC for less than 1000, Most 700 dollar complete PC setups can STILL play the same games as consoles at much higher resolution and higher graphical settings AND higher FPS. Not to mention all the extra features you get. 1920X1080 resolution? PCs could pull that off soooooooooo long ago. I'll take my 2560X1600 thank you very much

yeah but even in an airtight safe never to be touched they still degrade, although it is mostly UV light that destroys them. ESPECIALLY recordable discs, they are pretty horrible about it. Pressed discs are much better.

a DVD enabled Wii? Whats the big deal, I like it better without it, this way it costs less and i dont have 47 DVD playing devices lying around.

Oh i thought of a good one Another World I recommend the PC deluxe version, it has the most additions/graphical touch ups. It was called Out Of This World in the US, But its easier to find the Another World version at certain places if you know what i mean. Its got a real cool graphical style, but DONT use a guide because if you know how to get past every part you can beat the game in like 5 minutes.

ill buy it if it can shoot the discs out with deadly force Im pretty sure the only reason for this is some new anti-mod scheme. I mean look at it PSP now, its easily hacked no matter what. They probably only made it thinner so no mod-chips could fit in it in the event they where necessary.

And don't even bring up HD-DVD and Blu-Ray anyone who knows anything about broadcasting and digital media will tell you they BOTH suck, and they are BOTH a waste of time. Not only is this a situation where consumers are getting flocked in every possible way (by having two formats) But its not even going to be here very long, its just a temporary bridge between now and when all content delivery is digital and no one bothers with discs anymore.

i knew this thread would turn out like this, its utterly retarded Heres the sad truth: They both suck I dont know how either company is getting away with selling the xbox 360 and the ps3, almost all the games are half finished half ass glitchy half working games. They come out with rediculous amounts of glitches and things wrong with them, and a couple months later they might release a patch, and for some reason this is seen as acceptable. I bought a 360 instead of a PS3 because your an idiot if you dont realize they both do the same exact crap. You get slightly better value with the 360 and maybe some confidence because of the heavier developer backing. But i can still admit they are both horrible. Its always been true that if you want to play games the right way, you buy a PC, and its always going to be like that. I play games on my PC every single day, with daily updates, new maps, no problems, resolutions the consoles cant even dream of running anything at, Ill compare PC and console versions side by side, and the console version is just so much worse. My 360 sits on my desk collecting dust, the only one who plays it is my brother, and i watch all the shittyness he has to endure. flock no am i going to pay 600 dollars or whatever the flock for the same crappy experience for more money on PS3. Its a flocking terrible situation and theres no excuse for it. ...and flock gamepads Get a Wii because its nothing at all like the other two consoles, I wish i had one. Personally i dont like Halo either, but its turning out to be a promising system with alot of cool games coming out Basically what im saying is that most of the games im interested in are on PS3 AND Xbox 360 so why not play them on the 360 for cheaper? After all im primarily a PC gamer, So most of this console business is ho hum to me anyway. I'll be getting everything possible on the PC instead of these consoles. Metal Gear IS going to be awesome though, if it ends up not coming out for 360 (although im almost positive it will, there might just be a wait involved) I'll either buy a PS3 just for that game or borrow someones PS3 just to play it haha. Most of the hit games are gonna be overrated and the same old crap again though, To DMC4, FF, KH (which i always hated anyway), i say "Meh" They are both going to turn into the poor mans PC eventually anyway. Thats why buying a Wii is safe, its in its own market almost.

I dunno about that, The XBox 360 always looks as good or better than the PS3 in every example ive ever seen. To be honest there is no real reason for the PS3 to cost more besides the fact that sony wanted to go with this ridiculously complicated architecture that doesn't offer any real advantage (Cell) And since its so complicated to program for as developers have said, theres going to be a lack of games that take full advantage of it, even more lazy ports of 360 versions, and a lack of overall games.

i dont understand their Live for PC thing either, You pay money to have basically the friends list of live and i guess content downloads, but the whole client is built into the game and only signed in and running while the game is open? No taskbar app? nothing? Its like a mediocre version of XFire, Gamespy, Steam, and the billions of other clients like that for PC....but not free?

well if you are using an external HDD for backup i think the assumption is you back everything up and put it away somewhere and don't touch it unless you need too, this way that doesn't happen. optical discs degrade too though, they wont last forever, sunlight, slight bending, scratches, crappy chemicals in the disc, there are TONS of factors that screw up optical discs the only option left....TRAVAN TAPE DRIVES!!!....if they weren't so freaking slow i might actually use one for something Oh and gamecop, I still see them in stores, but you really should start shopping online, I refuse to buy anything computer related in a store, especially at a place like best buy because its always a ripoff. With newegg all my parts are guaranteed for a year (plus whatever the manufacturer gives you, like Crucial's lifetime warranty) Its cheap (sometimes a few bucks cheaper somewhere else but the guarantee makes it worth it for me) and no store will ever match the selection, im very picky about what i buy. stores are dead, the future is in the internets!

i thought it was going to look more like a shotgun than that That new RE4 looks awesome, but ive been really excited for that GHOST game or whatever, where your like some weird swat team people and its a rail shooter, ive been playing it in the arcade recently and the Wii port looks awesome.
