so basically what your saying is you get an action replay, a blank gba cart, and a real DS game You put the AR in your DS, along with the GBA cart, boot and do the swapping stuff, and you can play GBA/DS games off the GBA Flash cart? Thats awesome, im so dumb for selling my DS

it depends, is it going to be your only console of this generation? What makes sense to me is to get an Xbox 360 and a Wii, Because everything the PS3 has is pretty much on Xbox 360 too for less money and i just like some of the things xbox has going for it better (and developers say the 360/Wii are easier to make games for developers are the ones who REALLY make or brake a console) and then you have the Wii for everything else (so you have a good mixture of off the wall/mainstream games) Personally i only have an Xbox 360 right now because everywhere i go they are still sold out of Wiis, I have a little envelope with money in it set aside for as soon as i find one though. but yeah, Get the Wii, get a 360 later if the games interest you

If its anything like the one on Xbox 360, Don't bother Its probably the most over hyped game of all time, theres nothing new, original, or fun about it, its just what microsoft wants you to think is "cool" to play right now. well you said you got it extracted already so ignore that part So what you have is an MDS image file and probably some NFO that tells you nothing particularly useful? If you mount it with a virtual drive, and you are sure your emulator is configured right, and it wont boot, your image file is probably screwed up, Unless SA2 doesnt work right yet. Although if i remember right it did. Try the latest nullDC or at least make sure your Chankast is up to date.

i heard of firepro wrestling just because i had a ROM or something and i thought it was a funny title so i tried it out. i wish i could recommend okami because i heard it sold less than 300,000 copies somewhere recently...oops i just did ;P if that doesnt work, How about Fatal Fury Mark of the Wolves, I know its probably pretty popular, but most people i know who are into fighting games have strangely never heard of this one, and i can at least say its my favorite fatal fury game.

well this is usually how it goes... You download a game, it comes in any random number of files with extensions .001, .002, etc or something similar use winRAR to open one of the files, and extract everything somewhere Take the game and either burn it with alcohol 120% in RAW/DAO mode or mount it in a virtual drive either play from the disc on a console or in an emulator. You could try just putting the disc in your dreamcast, if you dont have one try nullDC instead, make sure its set to boot from the right place (Image File/CD Drive/etc)

Technically i think the HDD is supposed to be the most reliable. I dont back up anything at all, any work on there thats really important i always have a hard copy of and everything else is just entertainment. anyone else find it kind of funny how people go crazy to back up all their pirated music? It says stuff like that right on the boxes of external HDDs.

man im glad i didnt pay to get mine fixed, about 2 weeks ago mine got the red rings for the first time, and i called to get it fixed and they where gonna charge me 140 dollars!!! WTF is that?!? I tried that rediculous towel thing because i wasnt going to pay 140 dollars and it worked O_o i guess if it happens again ill send it in though

IJTF is right now, I dont even like the Saitek gamepads anymore they are really weird, its like you cant get a good gamepad for PC. I WAS going to reccomend a really good one, It was by logitech, had wireless, rumble, fit the hand well and everything, i was even going to buy it eventually because it was only like 30-40 bucks! But looks like they stopped making it. It was gold and black if anyone wants to try and find it

Yeah thats how most of mine are, i have like 3 worth using, and the other ones i dont even bother with and arent even hooked up anymore. I tried doing things like runing linux on them and using them as a fileshare but it just wasnt really worth it to have them on all the time.

I usually do overclock manually, all that auto crap has never worked for me and i never really beleived it would, i just thought i would give it a shot to see what happens since its new and i havent tried something like that in ages, i must have been stupid to think it would work right. I mean it seemed like it made sense because it would slightly raise something, run a stability test, over and over but i guess you just gotta do it yourself.

I did try clearing the CMOS and it either is refusing to clear for some reason or it just still wont boot If the RAM slots fried its screwed (unless you can boot with everything in channel B ), and if one of the PCI-E slots fried thats also stupid to keep lying around because i plan on going SLI later on. Id rather have a fully working board so i called newegg and RMAed it free shipping and everything (last time i RMAed something with them i had to pay shipping, i guess since i was so nice to the person on the phone they decided to give me a prepaid shipping label in my email) If i paid full price for something every slot port and feature should work 100% Its also hard to check for fried traces since its black :/ but i'm not really going to bother looking at this point. Now that i think about it my friend had an Intel board that did this exact same thing and what ended up happening was he needed to order a new BIOS chip which he had to pay for. Oh and that is pretty stupid about the beep codes, Since you read the manual you probably noticed this: The Beep Codes are listed in the table below <Half a page of empty space> I did read that theres a pretty good chance of this board being DOA when you get one (which mine wasnt at first) and some other problems. but once you get one that works its pretty durable, Its basically the exact same board as the ASUS Striker Extreme but with a different audio chipset and some minor differences. So i'm not too worried about it. I think i'll hold off on any overclocking since this RAM is pretty garbage. It requires 2.2V to run at stock speeds (which are supposedly 3-3-3-6 but i could only get 4-3-3-6) and doesnt overclock at all.

oh thank god SNK betrayed me when they turned KOF into 3D, Hopefully capcom can make something new and awesome in 2D

Okay heres what i did - Got old Motherboard that works Installed DDR2 in question Installed PCI-E Card in question Put processor in System boots fine and on the monitor it says please select boot device So its pretty clear that the motherboard killed itself right?

Damn well heres the problem, I have only one PCI-E Video card, and one set of DDR2 DIMMS, So i dont have much to test it with. I was going to replace the RAM anyway since that was also temporary untill i could afford some really good DDR2 RAM. I was thinking the Corsair Ballistix Tracer 2GB 1066MHz kit. I'll put the old motherboard back in since that one also has an AGP slot and see what happens and post again.
