Dark_Alex retires form the PSP scene
Shibathedog replied to Mooney's topic in PSP and Vita Hacks [/psp]
damnit and i just got into PSP hacking not too long ago, i love my custom PSP i customized pretty much everything you can on it and its running 3.40OE-A now what!!?!? No doubt someone will eventually take over but its still a major loss -
oh and i tried setting the jumpers to reset position and unplugging it and all that

Okay so heres what happened, I bought a new motherboard to replace my temporary ones. Got a nice ASUS P5N32-E SLI. Hooked everything up, installed all the drivers, set all the bios settings, etc. Everything was working perfectly. Then i decided to run nTune, Did the 3 hour test, and went to sleep because i wasnt gonna sit there for 3 hours. I guess this was a bad idea because now, i go to use my PC in the morning, and its frozen with the monitor off. I restart, and get a long beep, no post. My specs are the following Intel e6400 1GB PNY Gamer DDR2 667MHz (I think this is the problem) Sapphire ATi RadeonX1950PRO 512MB WD SATA 320GB HDD 520watt Aspire PSU So anyway this nTune program attempts to overclock for you. Everything in the PC is pretty much capable of being overclocked, But i bought some cheapass DDR2, that i think pretty much has no room for overclocking, So did it kill my RAM? If i boot with the RAM in, I get a realllly long beep, a pause, and then a realllly long beep, and after that point i turned it off If i boot with no ram in, I get a medium length beep, and then two short beeps. Oh and another thing i noticed is some of my case fans dont spin now or barely spin at all

Console game screen captures
Shibathedog replied to hi_resurrection's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
yeah i think i even made a topic in the spam forum about it -
They probably all work, some might just be slower (like the ones that require 3D rendering)

Console game screen captures
Shibathedog replied to hi_resurrection's topic in Nerd's Chatter [/nerds]
yeah if you want to do it in the hardest possible way. What IGN and all those game magazines do is hook their console up to a capture card. Which is basically a card in your computer that can receive and record video, TV Tuner cards could do it too obviously. Alot of modern video cards can do it too (ATI Calls it AVIVO, i cant remember what NVidia calls it on their cards) -
i understand what your saying, and i take your word for it that its possible. But i can't figure out how it works or how its possible, and to be honest ive never even seen it done, Its always been like Robert said. I guess ill just go for the widescreen because hey, Most if not all modern games support widescreen so i'll really only have to deal with it on the few older games i still play. Theres probably an option in the monitor to keep the original aspect ratio and just have black bars on the sides if it really becomes that much of a bother.

i'll give this a watch tomorrow, i've watched alot of movies like this and id like to see what this one has to offer that the others didn't

Im Memory of Benoit and Guerrero
Shibathedog replied to GodPigeon's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
You know what i think? I think this is all some bullshit publicity/advertising scheme as sick and disturbing as that sounds. Not that i dont believe people where really murdered, But i think it was done on purpose and for a different reason. Theres so much drama and lies and crap in WWE. Wrestling died in the 90s probably the 80s, its all a moneymaking bullshit soap opera now. -
i have alot of work and crap to worry about right now that im trying not to think about because its driving me nuts.
-
yeah but its simply not possible to stretch an image in 4:3 to 16:9 format without stretching it and having it look stretched unless its cropped in which case some of it gets cut off which isnt really any better. maybe im misunderstanding something because i haven't ever had a widescreen monitor to fool around with and i only know what ive read.
-
yeah i was thinking that, FEAR is pretty crappy to play unless you have a widescreen monitor (doesnt let you crank the res very much before going into widescreen modes only) How can it just adjust to the resolution though? They arent CRT but LCD so they cant just change the amount of pixels on screen. There has to be some stretching somewhere.
-
I need a new monitor, not that there is anything wrong with the one i have now, besides the fact that its HUGE. Its a giant 19 inch CRT taking up almost my whole desk. So i've picked out two nice monitors, With specs that are good enough One is widescreen, one isnt. Widescreen: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824001094 Standard: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16824116375 Obviously response time is important to me as i'll be playing alot of games on it. What happens if i want to run a game that doesn't support widescreen resolutions on it? I get black bars on the side right? But since the widescreen is 1440x900 am i going to have to go all the way back down to 1024X768?! or would it be some weird non standard resolution? It seems like there would have to be some weird stretching or something involved.

it looks like a good site but it has some really annoying ads on it >_<
-
yeah but mario is one of those characters that somehow always wins even if hes at a disadvantage :/
-
err you can play it online...free....now... Its not really that cool of a game i don't see what the big deal is, Its basically another one of those stupid flash games where you eat bigger and bigger fish to grow larger and eat even bigger fish, but with some cool-ish looking graphics.

Manhunt 2 banned in UK, Ireland, given an AO rating
Shibathedog replied to Mooney's topic in Gossip Café [/offtopic]
I think this is a good thing. Not because i support the decision they made (backstabbing flocks, even an organization that does nothing that support free speech backed this) But because its going to boost sales! Look how much free advertising and attention they are getting. And an AO Rating just makes it cooler to have. Look how many people where getting Thrill Kill imported and freaking out about it trying to get a copy because it was "the banned game" and to tell you the truth the game was flocking horrible, It was just cool to get or whatever. and wait a minute, they are worried about distribution for the PC!? They SHOULD release the game completely uncensored on the PC, Even if they edit the other ones and call it a directors cut. And it would be easy to distribute because the PC is so far ahead in digital distribution, They could probably even get it on Steam! -
Well underwater, i would give it to mario, In sonic games the underwater levels suck because you cant move for crap and you have to keep getting air and everything else. In mario underwater levels you can somehow shoot fireballs, have infinite air, and theres much more control over the movement of the character. In the olympics i would definitely give it to sonic though, i mean sonic can run and jump faster and further (but not as high) and all that. As for a normal fight though...still too tough to call

damnit! I first got my xbox 360 probably 4 or 5 months after it came out, the disc drive died a few months later from so much oblivion, and they sent me a brand new one. Now after that being the only problem for like 2 years i randomly got the red ring of death. And its going to cost 140 dollars to fix. Sonofabitch! I tried doing that thing where you wrap your 360 in towels and leave it on for 15 minutes and then turn it off and let it cool down, but i kind of forgot it was on (You cant hear it through the towels) and left it on for about 50 minutes. It worked anyway though and the 360 works again, but i wonder for how long.

damn that was a nice samsung too as soon as i saw the picture i was like OMG HERE COMES THE WIIMOTE REFERENCE!! but i was beaten to it

I'm going to stick to confirmed soon to be released games Unreal Tournament 3 Bioshock Crysis Clive Barker's Jericho Starcraft 2 Quake Wars Grand Theft Auto IV I'll be getting all PC versions (although im just gonna get GTA IV on 360 simply because of the episodic content that wont be anywhere else) But DX9 versions because I dont want Vista. If something DX10 comes out for around 250 that performs really well - as in plays the game at 60FPS+ at 1280X1024+ maxed out (or if the price in the GTS/2900XT goes down even more and i can do some SLI/Crossfire stuff) i'll go for DX10 and a pirated vista dual boot just to play them EDIT: Oh hell yeah i second HOTD4 on 360 i completely forgot about that one

so we are basically posting an album we like from a genre we usually hate? haha im going to say any one of the Rhapsody albums, i hate this screamy metal about wizards and warlocks and dragons engaged in epic battles or whatever they are supposed to be talking about but ill listen to it every once in awhile because its funny.
