  1. Thanks! That answers my question with the Japanese characters in the fighting grooves selection menu. How did you ever find this topic again? What search terms did you use?
  2. There is some good news to report about the latest release of this emulator; under PCSX2 0.9.2 R2 the black screen problem is now gone!
  3. My computer specifications are similar or worse so I don't see how the hardware can be a factor: Pentium 4 3.4 GHz 512 MB of RAM Radeon X300 (64 MB of video RAM) XP Pro SP2 up to date PCSX2 0.9.2 config: ZeroGS KOSMOS 0.96.0 Peops spu2 dsound driver 1.6.0 PADwinkeyb 0.9.0 Linuzapps ISO CDVD driver 0.5.0 Bios USA 01.60 My only remaining advice would be to try PCSX2 0.9.2 since the R2 build has now fixed a similar issue such as my black screen in Samurai Spirits Tenkakuden after one battle!
  4. It appears that way; there is even a NDS ROMS compatibility list on the Desmume site!
  5. Fiction Junction featuring Yuu - Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Suite CD Vol. 1 - Akatsuki no Kuruma
  6. Yep! It was never meant to be run through Daemon Tools unlike the Chankast. I can play it fine using Arcade mode; I only play on Arcade mode now after I spent a few hours in practice mode! This current version of PCSX2 doesn't support sound or music in King of Fighters XI; the music and sound are probably going to be emulated in the next version. Ah! A black screen is a common problem; could you post your PCSX2 configuration and the PC hardware you are running it on?
  7. ...and the rest of the MMORPGs like Ragnarok Online!
  8. The original Tekken was ported to the Playstation in 1995; that was over a decade ago!
  9. So you are saying the study is flawed because the researchers didn't even check the players' actual genders and they just took the characters' genders as fact?
  10. Thanks for the warning; I happen to be at work now!
  11. Why would you even need Daemon Tools? I run both this and Samurai Spirits:Tenkaichi Tenkakuden just fine without Daemon Tools!

  18. How many fighting games have you tried emulating on the PCSX2? Agozer and I have already looked on Google and I have already checked GameFAQs. I have an account on there that dates back to 2001.
  19. Fiction Junction featuring Yuu - Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Suite Vol. 1 - Akatsuki no Kuruma
  20. The only threads about the game I could find were the following two threads: first thread Around the pond and over the raaainbow! NEITHER of them or the links inside them seem to have many details about the grooves themselves though. Were either of those two the thread you were referring to?
  21. Yes, but which Japanese character belongs to which Samurai Shodown system?
  22. Thanks! The ten matches what I suspected the character was (anyone who has played Gouki/Akuma would know it ) That just leaves five characters now: ken shin do rei zan I included a link to the image to narrow it down to just six! Could you match the names to the characters better with it now? Picture of Fighting grooves/styles/spirits
  23. Thanks for that link! The strange thing is that my local arcade calls Samurai Spirits: Tenkaichi Kenkakuden Samurai Shodown 6 and when I Google Samurai Shodown 6 I get this game described in Wikipedia! I tried Google AND GameFAQs; I don't know WHY a certain someone keeps thinking there is ANY gameplay information about THIS game at GameFAQs. The link is good except that the fighting styles or grooves are in Japanese characters so I don't know which ones they're describing in the FAQ. The strange thing is that the ENGLISH version at my local arcade has them in Roman numerals from I to VI. I'm guessing since ken is the default selection as described in the FAQ that it is the first one but I still don't know which ones match up to which Japanese character in my Japanese version of the game. ken shin do rei ten zan Could someone show me what each of these words look like in their Japanese counterparts?
  24. I've been playing the Japanese version of the game on PCSX2 but I don't understand much of it. Anyone know where I can find an English movelist or FAQ on either the English or Japanese versions of Samurai Shodown 6?
