I"ve checked it out and it's not worth it. I suggest that you wait till a full release is out and not a beta version. People have had problems with the beta and so have I. I'll probably use Linux in the future. I have no use for it right now. I can play games on my comp already.

My PS2 is right next to my PS3. I got HDD support for my PS2(Maxtor 200gb). Got over 200 games for my PS2 and I also got swap magic 3.3. I'm about to go buy Dynasty Warriors Gundam for my PS3. I love dynasty warriors games. I also pre-order MGS4 which they say will come out in June. Of course, I got movies, music, and pics on my PS3. I won't be running Linux on it yet.

There's a collectors edition that is 80 bucks. It has artwork, bonus disks, poster and 4 episodes of the anime. Only 4 episodes out of 12, what a rip off.

The PS3 was gift, so I'm not complaining. I'm not a fan of the 360 and my brother has a Wii already.

1- Nope. PS3 = SATA HDD, PS2 = IDE. Not that it matters- the file system and partitioning methods are completely different. 2- Nope. Totally different boot up scheme. Won't work. 3- Nope. HD Loader still requires PS2 hardware that is not in the PS3 you have, first off (not that it works on any other PS3s either). Sorry. Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news but the PS3 can't do any of that stuff. If it could I would have seriously thought about getting one... Thanks for the info. Just got done with some research and what I want won't work. I'll stick to loading video and audio onto the ps3 for now.
