  1. I think I'd choose the sandwhich. It's a damn nice sandwhich.
  2. That is correct. Macs are not considered computers. They're more or less equivalent to an abacus, which is completely legal during the challenge.
  3. I'm pretty sure computers that don't run windows count as things you're turning off during the exercise. Ditching your windows PC for a Gamecube or some such isn't really shutting down your computers.
  4. They do exist, like many interest groups some are just really weird. ex. NAMBLA That group actually makes more sense. While their motives are no doubt simply perverse, their goals aren't really all that out there. But seriously, an organization that lets fat gluttonous pigs gain acceptance in society? That's just wrong. The world doesn't exactly have a food surplus, y'know, if the health problems weren't enough to deter you.
  5. I was away from my computer for four days on a business trip, I'll just count that as Shutdown Day and move along.
  6. I sure hope so, provided that Konami doesn't step in an axe the project. I don't think they can. It's heavily influenced by Castlevania, sure, but it's not Castlevania. They don't have "2D platformer about killing vampires" copyrighted, I guarantee you. Also, I'm very interested in it. Screenshots and music don't mean much to me, but he has my positive mental thoughts towards completing the game.
  7. Wait, NAAFA is just a joke, right? They don't really exist?
  8. If I have to watch Sasuke see his parents get killed one more time, I'm going to cry. Seriously. Sometimes they threw that in there more than once an episode.
  9. That's for a month though. You don't have to stop eating for a month. A few hours should suffice.
  10. Ugh, the latest was a flashback episode. They always manage to dissapoint me.
  11. Most recently I played Chrono Cross. Finally got it working properly. I've also been playing PSO: Blue Burst on a private server with some friends.
  12. I'm still not paying for the PS3, the price doesn't merit what the available games. For the longest time I was saying that it was too expensive, and everyone came back at me with "It's gonna have Blu-Ray!" After about a month, I had to actually look up what that meant. Having now done so, I can still say that it's not worth the money. Supposedly Sony added it in there so later on when Blu-Ray discs actually contain information worth paying for the PS3 will be ahead of the competition, but I don't think it was a very smart move on their part, not if they're losing money on the few sales they're getting.
  13. Our resident WoW heads will have to tell me what this means... "Alamo pic" Druids are shapeshifters, while in cat form they act as a melee class and do nothing but DPS. Innervate is a spell that restores a players mana. The picture is explaining that a druid in cat form can not cast Innervate, and that they should use a mana restoring potion instead.
  14. I leave my PS2 on for days or even weeks sometimes. Granted, I'm on my third one now...
  15. Still haven't downloaded that for my PC. I feel bad now.
  16. Might just be me, but I remember playing the demo and the controls felt like a real pain to me. Might try it again and see if my opinion's changed.
  17. O fuhrer mein fuhrer. The only german I know comes from foreign metal bands, and most good foreign metal bands are actually Finnish, not German. It is a pretty cool language though.
  18. I want the Dreamcast to be emulated so I can finally play Time Stalkers again. I also want the DS to be emulated, because that Tetris game looks fun, but I'm too cheap to pay for it.
  19. Five right and I still don't give a flock. Sweet crap.
  20. Yes, I do think it's wrong. People playing Runescape only verifies the fall of humanity as we know it.
  21. http://www.thebasementlan.org It's a relatively local monthly lan party. It's not very big, and most of us are there every month, so we all know each other. Good to hear that there's original music in there though, most of what I heard was "I Love Rock 'n Roll". In fact, thinking back, that may have been all I heard. Not the best stand to judge from.
  22. The problem with peaceful protesting is that there's more respect for property and much less destruction. Less dangerous, sure, but at the same time less entertaining. I don't know the details of the bill, but I can see how people might be angry. If one in four people are unemployed, three in four people don't want the bill passed.
  23. There were some people playing Guitar Hero at the last lan. It looked pretty cool, but I would have preferred more original music. I'm not sure there even was any original music. Regardless, this is definitely cool, and I'm sure a lot of people at the Basement would be interested, too. Thus, the link was forwarded, and everyone lived happily ever after.
  24. I played Mystic Quest a long ass time ago, and it was one of the first RPGs I played, so I thought it was good. When I emulate it though, I tend to tape down A and turn speed on while I do something else. Final Fantasy in general is just too easy. Seven was pretty easy, Eight was easy, Nine was hella easy, Ten was easy, Ten-Two was actually relatively difficult and employed a class system. The first six were all more difficult in the sense that you didn't hit for max damage every hit without exerting any effort to do so. Nine was especially easy given the fact that bosses died in about six hits.
  25. Silent Hill scared me just last year. I was alone and playing at night again, but still. I just now played through Silent Hill 2 again and it still scared me. Interesting question I have for ye though. What are your favorite Silent Hill unlockables? I think my favorite is the Beam Saber from three. Where you find it is hilarious, too, I think.
