Unless you have a really fast PC I would not bother with it on Mame, Zinc will be the best option.

For NRX : To use the uni bios you need to rename it to neo-geo.rom ( I think ) and I am sure this not work for all version of NRX

So what emualtor do you use ? Kawaks , nebula , NeoRageX. FBA , Mame ?

Ok to get back on Track I doubt there is any transpancies fix for nebula I could send you my copy of FBA that plays kof2003 with transpancies.I think it is the best option for now.

This will depend on what emulator you are using.

so why does the bootleg kof2003 that works with transpancies in kawaks dev..those c roms are from the original and were around the net the same time as the other set was. and kawaks dev (that had kof2003)was around long before we the public got hold of kof2003 kof2003 = transpancies kof2003b = No transpancies (but the C roms are the same as kof2003) I know the transpancies are in the bootleg as i extracted the data from the c roms.

Best thing to do is to ask for patches for roms you are needing

I trust the info from N3oGhost since he own the hardware and that Pic I posted is not fake I am not sure how it is done but i know that transparencies are there because I extracted the data from the C roms thats is why my crc is not the same as the ones posted around the net.

What are you on about ? all the newer (99+) neogeo games the S data is in the C roms and has nothing to do with Mame Kawaks or any other emulator.

Even the bootleg C roms has S data. Bootleg means that it has been hacked and the protection has been removed.

There is allready proof that there was transparencies in the MVS cart....... http://www.1emulation.com/forums/index.php...t=10#entry74262 Also Mame has allways had transparencies considering the transparencies is allready in the 512k (Normally it comes from the C roms) rom Nebula and Kawaks need the correct fix key to make it work.Which means the code may not be in the offical emulators Mame has the code allready there which is this. neogeo_fix_bank_type = 2; For FBA it is this HARDWARE_SNK_ALTERNATE_TEXT so that tells me Mame and FBA have allways supported the 512k S rom.and it is not that rom is any differnt than the other S roms apart from the fact it is 512 which makes it harder for nebula kakwaks NRX to work properly.

The 512k S rom comes form the C roms (I extracted it myself from the C roms) thats where I got mine for NRX I then spilt the rom into 4 parts 128k then swapped them around Then rejoined.Then put it in the NRX rom set.Works great

you need a decrypted S rom thats why or make your dat look like this as you can see the S rom is not used as it will get the S rom data from the C roms.. when you see something like 0.84u3 it is just an intermediate release. Basically just a work in progress release between main version releases that adds the latest progress. Most of the main derivative emulators such as MAME32, MAME32 Plus, MAMEFX, and so on release compiled versions usually with the intermediate release changes. Did you ever get the first Release of the rom ? As that is why I have the 8 C roms.
