Diso Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 Rip to him. Hes being buried in Israel and he died in France All over news aka MSNBC
Gryph Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 RIP. I just hope violence doesn't break out in Israel and Palestine because of this.
random guy Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I've heard some fundamentalist christians in America are CELEBRATING his death. Way to fan the flames of hate guys (not you guys, them)
Sturmvogel Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 His doctos were saying he'd recover. Well, Bush can't make any excuses now. He didn't like Arafat....now he's dead. Time to start fresh.
Aoshi Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I think his death was induced by those trying to either remove him from power or by the ones who want to replace him, i have this feeling of an oncoming war approaching, or maybe im paranoid.
Swithin Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 You're paranoid. You might also be right, but you're not supposed to assume the worst. I am always on the side of oppressed populations. Therefore I consider myself strongly leaning to the Palestinian side in the debate over who has more legitimate grievances in Palestine/Israel. As such, Arafat curdled my blood. He is single-handedly the cause of so much death it isn't funny. A life of "service" doesn't excuse this - he made choices, knowingly, that killed people. Bad leader. Bad man. Not worth the RIP.

Sure, he was originally a member of the PLO so technically a terrorist, by that standard Ariel Sharon was a terrorist. Arafat was just scapegoated by Bush because Bush didn't want the roadmap to peace, or at least he wanted peace only in a way that would benefit Israel as much as possible, so he needed an excuse not to negotiate with Palestine. Crunk, crunk, crunk goes the propaganda division, and suddenly Arafat is the worst terrorist in the world next to bin Laden. And 97% of Americans fell for it, surprise surprise. Agozer Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 I wonder what Aries Sharon will do now... In any case, the palestinians have lost a great leader. Rest in Peace.

OverlordMondo Posted November 11, 2004 Posted November 11, 2004 A lot of people are, indeed, celebrating his death. Check this forum out... http://www.serebiiforums.com/newforums/sho...ead.php?t=41871 Most of this forum is strongly christian. I participate in debates there, but it's me against a million on most issues.
