In the past few days there have been reports of how EA has been treating its workers. You can read this blog post by a spouse of an EA employee and get some insight into that. It basically says that game developers are being forced to work inhuman amounts of hours which has lasting effects on them physicially, mentally, and emotionally. It's an interesting but long read.

And here is another blog post but this time it's by an EA employee who was just laid off after the game he was working on was finished.

And here is the article that tells about the lawsuit which could become class suit: http://www.kotaku.com/gaming/industry-news...suit-025524.php

This is terrible stuff, I knew game developers worked hard but I didn't know they had to do this stuff.

I read this on another forum a few days back and I must say...

If there's any truth to what that person wrote, EA is a realy biatch.

If all that stuff is true, then EA certainly deserves what's coming to them.

Creative work is always tough, but there is a difference between working passionately on something and being treated like a slave.

EA is one of the biggest if not THE biggest game development company actually, i think its either Konami or Capcom thats close to them, not sure. So this is pretty bad.

No wonder theyve been pumping out so many crappy games recently. Stupid bastards.

Ill still buy that new Goldeneye game im so hyped about for some reason. See how they suck you in?
