I want to completely erase my harddrive of everything and the fdisk would do the job right?. and can i burn the fdisk onto a cd and use that to erase everything? because long time ago, I copied it onto the floppy disk and did it and so I'm not sure if i can burn the fdisk program onto the cd and use it.

Well you can burn it on a CD but that's pointless since you'll need a bootdisk to get into DOS and that already has FDISK.

And using FDISK will erase everything. Just make sure you know what you are doing.

All in all, FDISK erases and creates partitions... I really would use that for a format operation

Do you have a Windows XP CD? That's bootable and it MIGHT have FDISK on it, I'm not sure.

What kind of PCs, besides Macs, don't have a floppy drives anymore?

Actrully(sp?) Windows XP Doen't Have Fdisk In It, You'll have To Use A Windows 95 Or 98 Startup Disk. Is That Good Enough You Naziz?
