Jjangthekid
I want to completely erase my harddrive of everything and the fdisk would do the job right?. and can i burn the fdisk onto a cd and use that to erase everything? because long time ago, I copied it onto the floppy disk and did it and so I'm not sure if i can burn the fdisk program onto the cd and use it. Gryph
Well you can burn it on a CD but that's pointless since you'll need a bootdisk to get into DOS and that already has FDISK. And using FDISK will erase everything. Just make sure you know what you are doing.
Agozer
All in all, FDISK erases and creates partitions... I really would use that for a format operation
Jjangthekid
yea I know what it does, and so what your saying is I can't use the FDISK in the cd to erase everything? because the computer doesn't haev a floppy disk drive.
Gryph
Do you have a Windows XP CD? That's bootable and it MIGHT have FDISK on it, I'm not sure. What kind of PCs, besides Macs, don't have a floppy drives anymore?
