Well, you can use Steam if Offline mode, but Steam needs to be running. The deathmatch addon should be interesting, i just wonder why is it that so many people have problems with it....So you're saying that HL2 won't even start after deathmatch has been installed? I just bought the game the day before yesterday so i played it for like 4 hours... then the next after noon i was like wtf! lol but atleast the fixed it at records speeds. If you use Steam, you will be banned. You won't be able to get HL2 DM unless some warez group releases a separate update and you won't be able to play on legit servers.
