Burning oversize dvd rips on cdr question

How do i burn a 800+mb on a cdr? I tried one on dvd and i couldn't play the game. I d/l Initial D Specail Stage from SuprNova. It's bin and cue file. Any suggetions on how i should approach this problem?

Get a 900MB CD-R perhaps?

 

Overburning 100+ MB doesn't really work.

if its bin/cue, its meant for a cd and even tho the image might be 800mb, its meant to be on a 80min cd

It certainly is. Now that i think about it, a game that had an image of 750MB+ fit onto a 650MB CD.

It's actually possible to burn 900 megs of data onto a 700 MB CD-R. I forget the brand, but i've seen my friend do it. Boy were we amazed at the fact that it's 900 megs.

 

Some company is working on 1 GB CD-R's i think. still in testing, I think.
