Sorry, these whatsnew details may be incomplete and not as detailed as they could be

due to a lack of time.  While there are many Sega improvements (new decrypted sets, video

fixes etc.) the drivers are still in a WIP state for now.

Transparent sun in 1st level of Metal Black.

Special effect on Metal Black level 5 boss who slides in under the bottom

tilemap.

All known effects in Gun Frontier (see the attract mode).

The highlight effect in Quiz Crayon 2 map.

 

The update also provides full 5 tilemap layer priority support in Metal

Black (was previously 4 due to pdrawgfx limitation), and fixes priority

problems in Ninja Kids (ninjak058gre).

Mingw is not the problem http://www.classicgaming.com/mame32qa/bugs.htm

 

Mame32 won't compile a working.exe without altering the source to comment out the new res stuff in \src\windows\windows.mak.
