Bad sound on winmugen

I started using winmugen, i am having some problems with mp3 files, at first i noticed this when i changed the screenpack and started to sound like sh*t and then the background music, i think it is some proble, only with mp3 files, someone know anything about this?

ok i downloaded one mp3 plugin from the shinmugen forums and it kinda works ok but on the stage i have tested it the sound once started looping the first two seconds, i had to quit, then on other tests the song stops in the middle, will get back when i gather more info.
